I contacted this company after reading positive Yelp reviews and scheduled an estimate. He came to my home, looked at both my front and back yard, agreed to take on the maintenance, and told me he would start the following Thursday. He also said he would call me on Wednesday with the arrival time. Unfortunately, I never received the promised phone call, and Thursday came and went with no communication and no one showed up. I reached out to ask what happened, but by then I had already been left waiting. Things happen, and schedules can change, but a simple phone call or text would have been the professional thing to do. Ghosting a new customer after committing to a job is disappointing and wasted my time. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company because reliability and communication are important qualities in any service business. read more

When Fredy and crew show up they do a good job, key word WHEN. Hardly on time, will change the day on a whim and not give you a time. He texted my husband asking if he could come with 5 minutes notice 6 months ago (backyard had all the kids toys all over) so we asked if he could do it the next day and he said sure. For anyone looking for yard clean up and/or recurring maintenance, I highly recommend Fredy's. If you're like us, you've let WAY too many weeks/months go by without tending to your yard. Our property looked basically abandoned....We have a lot of land and before we had a baby, we were able to do it ourselves (and actually loved doing it) but now we have absolutely no ftime to do it. We finally decided to get quotes from multiple companies. Even though Fredy's quote was similar to other quotes we received, we liked their professionalism and promptness to respond so we moved forward using them. Don't waste your time or money with Fredy. I hired him for yard maintenance on 2 rental properties that I own In North County SD. He was supposed to keep the weeds down and fill 2 green bins with trimmings from bushes and small trees around the property. He did neither. His guys are blow and go! When I found out and asked him to go back and trim along the overgrown fence line, he actually quoted me an additional $600 to clean up along the fence line. His guys were supposed to be doing that for the last 6 months! Because I cant get out to my properties on a regular basis, that is the entire point of hiring a good, reliable gardener for maintenance. Several calls and texts to Fredy and he wont even return my call. Shamefull! I think the bad reviews are catching up with this guy. He has another Yelp listing as Canales Gardening. read more

But, it has happened several times where he doesn't show up at all or shows up on a completely different day/time. Originally hired Fredy's services for weed clearance-- they gave us such a good price & did such a great job we rehired him for tree trimming and now scheduled yard maintenance. Scheduling can sometimes be a little bit hit & miss but he is always flexible, and does a VERY high quality job with whatever task he is there for. Single mom and needed help to maintain my yards. They were doing a great job with weeds and such and then I noticed my grass was turning brown. I went to inspect why and found several sprinklers broken (mowed over) or grass that had grown over and the sprinkler couldn't pop up. I asked Fredy the main guy to come and fix the issues and he told me on a certain day and never showed up. Now I am stuck with finding someone to come fix the issues and to take over the maintenance of my yards. Not only did I pay them for a job, but they cost me money fixing what they broke. We set a time and Freddy came as agreed and walked our property as we described what yard maintenance we needed. An appointment was made for 2 days later.
