Showers are updated and one of the best I've seen in a long time. Laundry is available ($1.75-wash 75¢-dry). The pool is clean and perfect for a swim after a long day. Most sites don't have grills, but there are a few that do. They have grills you can use that are behind the main office and next to the pool. Airport is across the highway, but you cannot hear airplanes or highway noise inside your camper. Several long term campers, but they are super nice and always offer a smile and wave from their clean and well-kept sites. Karen, in the office, is super sweet and welcomed us as if we'd been there a million times. I would highly recommend and have placed it on my list of RV parks to use should I come back through Lubbock.

The grassy areas at , and near our site (119) were covered in sticker burrs. We weren't aware, so when we arrived and took our dogs out, their paws were immediately covered in painful burrs, as were the bottoms of our shoes. For the rest of our one night stay, we carried the dogs to an area nearby without burrs. Management: it is so simple to treat for sticker burrs. Be aware that for overnight you will probably be in the area without any trees. Brutal heat without shade. No picnic table. Good: Large sites. Easy ingress/egress. Pleasant staff, easy check in.

People like to complain that with a pass you don't get access to other areas that they don't control is dumb, it's like saying I paid for a McDonald's gift card and not a single burger king accepts that payment. These areas they try very hard to keep clean and safe and although I may not agree with everything done with these places they try and I love them for it. During extended dry periods the lake all but disapears but it's great when the lake is up a few feet.

Each spot has a roofed picnic table, and a ground fire pit and a trail down to the lake since the sites are on the hill. Had to trek up here because Lake Colorado City closes. Showers are quarter machine operated for water conservation purposes. $0.50 for 3 minutes. I splurged an extra quarter for 4.5min and due to tough and dirty Army training, I ended up enjoying a high pressure extra 2 minutes of pure watery delight. So if you can combat shower, you'll be just fine with 2 quarters. :) Wrote the top portion upon arrival at night. Taking a star due to how darn dirty the place was. Trash EVERYWHERE even though the site had 2 large barrel trash cans :( Stupid, dirty people. Pics attached. Wear shoes and be careful using the trails down to the water due to so much glass.

We stayed here for three nights while we are on a very long RV journey out to see family and…read morefriends. The sites are decent size, but they are tight if you've got somebody sitting right next to you, but still plenty of room for your slides and such. There are picnic tables at all the spots, as well as as there are two small cabins that can be rented if you are traveling with people who do not have a camper. This campground is clean and well kept and the staff were very friendly! They were super helpful with anything that we needed. You do have a bit of road noise from hwy 60 as well as there are trains nearby but a fan running drowned most of that out noise. WiFi was ok- we tended to get booted off a couple times in the evening when a lot of people were at the campground. Verizon was 2 to 3 bars and a little more reliable. There's a laundry room with three washers three dryers at $1.75 a load and everything worked great. All the services at the site worked great. You are about 10 minutes from the town of Clovis and there is plenty of shopping, a planet fitness For a good workout as well as tons of restaurants. We wanted to visit the rock 'n' roll museum here, but they are closed for renovations as of the date of this review.
