The free burn motor Lodge in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts is the ideal stay for a perfect summer getaway. I have been staying here for the past three years since the renovation and stayed here when it was the old hotel. All I have to say the staff is friendly kind helpful, and a pleasure to see every year. They know me, but by my name and treat me like part of the family every year the hotel is immaculately clean comfortable. The pool area is fantastic. Great music great little eats and drinks if that is your thing the hotel is also quiet at night no matter where you're staying which room. The beds are extremely comfortable and this place is my favorite hotel to stay on in the mid Cape, totally recommended.

Overall a pleasant stay! Upon check in the employees were really friendly and helpful. Gave us good tips on places to eat! (go to the Keltic Kitchen and the Hole in One Bakery nearby!). Place is a total 70s vibe that makes a great effort to have a cool experience for a retro motor lodge / motel. Definitely a perfect family vacation spot! Rooms are clean and modern. Pool and fire pit are great spots to hang around. Our family loved all the small details and music references throughout the hotel. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating! Location is fabulous and close to beaches and restaurants. The only issue I think people treck in a lot of dirt when going from the pool with wet feet and bathing suits, and some walk barefoot over the parking lot and with white floors you'll notice the towels get filthy easily as well as the bathroom floors. Bathroom is a bit of a tight squeeze and takes some getting used too. Would definitely stay here again when in the area

The hotel is an absolute hidden treasure. It gives a retro "hotel California" vibe. The rooms are clean, and well maintained. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner are amazing as well, they give off a luxurious spa like scent. The pool is way to 82 degrees at all times. The hot tub is amazing and well maintained as well. "Dirty birdie" is very decently priced and has great food and drinks. Beautiful cabanas as well as the outdoors. They offer amazing fire pits at night to make your stay even more comfortable, great place to make s'more's at night and have a few adult drinks while the kids hang out. Amazing music!! We will be back next year!

Very relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail in this Motor Inn. Totally renovated, brand new, spacious and clean bedrooms, with nice toiletries and good coffee. I loved the pool area, we sat there for evening drinks or get a delicious flat bread. Staff is super friendly and attentive. There are very goos places for breakfast near by. Ask reception

I gotta give this establishment FIVE stars. Everyone has been amazing. Charles, who helped us on the phone. The receptionist when we checked in and the bartender who was pleasant serving us tasty drinks and food. Freebird was recommended and once we got settled it, I texted her and said I'm in love. Very very very clean! Staff completely helpful. Great customer service. It's been open less than a month. Beds are so soft. Food amazing. Pool was a bit chilly but the kids enjoyed themselves and they are what matters. Only down fall is tiny bathrooms and no microwave. Other than that they have a guest that will return. Kid friendly. Complimentary bikes. 5 min walk to the inflatable/water park, ice cream parlor More than enough parking

The Freebird Motor Lodge is AWESOME--15/10 Recommend! They did a fantastic job renovating an old motel and bringing it up to speed with the times. It has the standard motel layout, but it is FAR from standard. The vibe and decor is lively, fun, modern, unique, and an homage to the Rock Era and Lynyrd Skynyrd. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the details. The layout has the lobby and amenities on the right front when you arrive; along the left and back right are the motel rooms with plenty of parking spaces. They are two stories tall, with stair access to the second floor. If you cannot do stairs, be sure to ask for a room on the bottom level. The amenities include: Pool/Hot Tub, Patio with the Dirty Birdie (Drinks + Flatbreads), Fire Pits, Corn Hole, and Free Bike Rentals. The pool is a show-stopper! It is in a perfect spot with direct sunlight all day, weather permitting. The hours are from 9AM - 10PM, which is a nice change from many others that close a little too early. The setup was so clever and fun - partial indoor/outdoor via garage (door) style. It was very clean and had an actual deep-end (8 ft). The seating was mixed with tables and chairs, three cabanas (for rent $), and lounge chairs. The number of lounge chairs is one of the only issues I can foresee on a busy day if you want to layout; there were maybe 10-12, which can fill up quickly. They are also a little hard and not really meant for laying on your stomach. They provide pool towels; however, they are on the teeny tiny side. They did have music playing around the pool area, which was a nice, lively touch. On the Saturday we were there, they did have a musician come - not sure if that is a regular occurrence, but it was a nice surprise! The corn-hole is at the back end of the campus, along with two other cabana-style seating areas - those do not cost extra... but do not be fooled when they tell you there are free cabanas in the back; they do not mean the back of the pool. We stayed in the Standard King. It was much roomier than I expected from the pictures on Expedia. It is built to be efficient yet spacious and not cramped, and again, the details and decor were on point! There is a table with bench seating, bedside tables, an entertainment center, and an open-concept closet/shelving. They provided a few hangers, regular and with pant clips. The drawers were a little on the small side, and the hanging rack was a little low (due to the AC unit), but they both did the job and really were not a problem; plus, there are built-in shelves for extra storage. The room had an AC unit (+ heat, not that you need that in the summer), a Keurig single-brew machine, and a mini fridge. Note: there is a microwave in the lobby that is available for use and the ice machine is next to the pool entrance. The TV had screencasting/sharing capabilities with very easy instructions on how to connect your devices. There was also a safe, clothes steamer, and hairdryer. There were plenty of charging ports in the room, mixed between regular wall ports and built-in stations in the furniture with both wall and direct cord plugins. The phone was old-fashioned, a cool touch, and the bedside clock had built-in Bluetooth, a sound machine, and the best part- a mag charger plate for your phone! The bed and pillows were super comfortable. There was also a full-sized mirror. The bathroom was cute (well, for a bathroom). The sink area was separate from the toilet and shower. The toilet/shower room was a little on the small side, like you can't really close the door easily when you're sitting there, haha, but how much room do you really need in there? They had a shelving unit in the sink area with space for your toiletries. For two people, I thought there were enough towels; they were a little bigger than the pool towels, thankfully, but still your standard hotel-sized towel. Personally, I did find the shower pressure/head to be a little light, which was really one of my only bummers - but the soaps smell SO good! It does have a light "man" smell, so if you prefer girly scents only you may not like it as much as I do, but it was not overly manly - just a nice warm oak scent. Everything was very clean, well-maintained, well-lit, and safe. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They offered us champagne as we checked in and were accommodating when we asked to extend our stay an extra night. The price I thought was reasonable and affordable, especially for the quality and experience you get. It is a little more expensive on the weekend than the weeknight, but it is in line with the other places around the cape, and some are not as nice, clean, or fun as this one. It was in a good location that was easy to get to and easy to travel to other areas of the cape. I definitely plan on coming back here - I think they have upped the motel game on the cape and did a great job brining an older place back to life with a modern-yet nostalgic style.

I cannot say enough about this place!!! Adorable rooms with unique theme. Bright colors and very clean. Rooms were bigger than expected and had keurig machines and refrigerators. Enough seating for four for dinner in the room. The pool was spectacular with floats and jacuzzi. Indoor and outdoor pool with lots of tables ,chairs and lounges. I got a cabana for a few hours, it was comfy and could have been more private, but lovely overall. We played cornhole and had drinks by the fire. Cocktails were amazing and just right for celebrating our 40th anniversary. Friendly bartender and helpful staff. Took one Of the free bikes out for a quick ride. Love love this COOL modern gem Great vibes, great price ! You have to check it out!

Television, fridge, and Keurig. And a bench to put your stuff or to wear your shoes before you leave.

Stayed here for three nights. The room, which looked like a beach cottage, was fantastic. The bed was very comfy and I loved the shower (and the bathing supplies smelled wonderful). I also liked the corner bench and table, as well as the multiple plugs for your electronics. There is a fridge and a Keurig in the room, and a nice (huge) mirror, as well. Two minor issues: the air conditioner is quite loud and the bathroom door does not shut. But otherwise, a wonderful stay.

The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The prices are fair. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tub area. The free breakfast is mediocre. They supply free coffee all day long and free cookies served each night, which is a nice touch.

We checked in and went to our assigned room. We quickly discovered the room to be quite filthy. There was long black hair everywhere. On the countertops, in the bathtub, on the tile floor where the kitchen sick was, and even large clumps under the vanity sink. I immediately went to the front desk and spoke to the GM "Elissa." She was very apologetic and sent a housekeeper down shortly after. The housekeeper visited our room to "re-clean" it, and once she left, there was still hair all over the place. I didn't want to complain to the front desk for a second time, so I did the best I could by washing some of those surfaces myself. Unfortunately, it didnt end there. We went to the the breakfast buffet all three days between 8 and 8:30. It was atrocious. It was very overcrowded and items were not replenished once empty. There was only one working waffle maker that left many people waiting 8-10 people deep in line. Juice machine was "out of order" with no alternative offered other than coffee and tea. Oatmeal was empty. Milk was empty. Cereal container was empty. It was just downright awful. Ive never had this type of experience at any hotel breakfast. There were two restrooms across from the dining area that were BOTH "out of order" the entirety of our stay. So basically the only available restroom was the one in our room. Housekeeping services are supposed to be started on day two of guests stays. Our mounted shower gel was empty. I went to the front desk at 10am asking for a replacement. I waited around all day. Nobody came. I texted the front desk around 3PM asking if we had been forgotten about and was told someone would be down in 5 minutes. Another hour and a half went by, and it was finally delivered to our door at 5PM.... Housekeeper never entered the room. Thats all that was done. Our trashes remained overflowing. Our shampoo and conditioner were empty shorly after. No fresh towels were delivered. It was just bad. The worst part, which forced us to leave early was the discomfort in the beds. I can't even begin to explain how uncomfortable the beds in our room were. The pull out sleeper was like sleeping on straight mattress springs. It left my daughter with severe neck and shoulder pain. The king size bed was just as bad. My husband and I couldn't sleep at all because the bed was so uncomfortable. We tossed and turned all night long and woke up with neck, back, and hip pain. On day two of our stay, I also noticed tiny black ants on the wall next to our bed, and two of them IN our bed. We couldn't take it anymore, so we checked out of the hotel after just 3 short, painfully agonizing days. We spoke to the GM again and explained why we had to leave. She was apologetic but did not offer to compensate any part of our stay. It was by far the most disappointing vacations ever. We had looked forward to this vacation for months to be seriously disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel. Look elsewhere.

The location is beautiful, and there is so much to do in the area and beyond (and I'm not kidding). The room we had was perfect, enough to fit everyone. We needed a blow-up bed, which the staff cared for without issue. Setting it up took up some space, but thankfully, it is nothing to complain about. The bed we stayed in was comfy. The important thing was that the room was well-cleaned and organized, which we were thrilled about. The facility provides a lot of that, including an indoor restaurant called the Loft Restaurant and Bar and an outdoor one called the Loft Shack in the middle of the parking lot. They even host events, such as outdoor concerts. The website provides more info on that. There is even an indoor building that offers sports such as tennis and basketball and even an arcade room. The Cove provides an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Overall, we were very impressed with the Cove, with many memories to take in and cherish. Without a doubt, I would stay here again.

We have always visited Bayside during the winter months, so we've never had the opportunity to swim in the outdoor pool, but during our recent visit I took a walk around the property and the outdoor pool looks great as well. There are also two fire pits outdoors with several comfortable Adirondack chairs overlooking a wetlands area with a view of an osprey nest. S'mores kits are available to purchase for use at the fire pits. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast includes a great variety of breads and cereals, several hot items such as eggs, sausage, waffles, as well as self service waffle and pancake machines. Love the variety of coffee options and flavored creamers. The small hotel pub is actually pretty cool as well with lots of dollar bills hanging from the ceiling and tacked to the walls. The story is that guests have written their names on the bills and have fun finding them on return visits to the hotel. The only downside to the Bayside from my perspective is that the pool is very popular with children and the pool can be very crowded. Bayside has implemented some pool rules (no balls, no glass, no floats) and does not allow children in the hot tub. They also have reserved 10-11 PM as adult only time in the pool. We weren't traveling with kids, so we got up early and enjoyed quiet time in the pool first thing in the morning.

The location is excellent with easy access to beaches, restaurants, and other attractions. Check in was fine, although the gentleman at the front desk wasn't particularly friendly and was a little difficult to understand. One thing to know is there are no elevators, so keep that in mind if you're staying on an upper floor or have a lot of luggage. The property itself is pretty big. There's a cute mini golf course out front (more decorative than actually playable), plus a playground and swings for the kids. With some updates and landscaping, the grounds could look really nice. Our room itself was nice. The beds were comfortable, the AC cooled the room well, and I liked that some ground floor rooms have doors leading directly to the parking lot, making it easy to load and unload. The downsides were the tiny bathroom, terrible wifi, and a strange smell in the room. It smelled like carrots... I also tripped and almost fell because of the carpeting which really should be replaced. Housekeeping also missed taking out our trash one day, which was especially frustrating since we had dirty diapers. The indoor heated pool was great and the outdoor pool was nice too. The hot tub area looked a little questionable and the pool room could use a deep cleaning. Breakfast had coffee, juices, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausage, and a waffle maker. The biggest issue was how crowded it got. Get there early because it gets picked over quickly, and not everything is restocked. The breakfast area also isn't laid out very well, making it difficult to move around when it's busy. The employee working breakfast wasn't particularly pleasant either. We also had an incident during our stay that was resolved amicably so shout out to the guest relations team for handling it professionally. Overall, this hotel is so close to being a much better place to stay. The location is great, the rooms are comfortable, and there are plenty of family friendly amenities. Improve the customer service, replace the carpets, fix the wifi, update some of the fixtures and furniture, and redesign the breakfast area, and this place could easily move up a tier.
