I stayed at this resort yesterday and was very disappointed. The room we received looked nothing like the photos shown on the website. The accommodations were outdated, worn, and poorly maintained. I had specifically requested an ocean-view room, but instead was given a first-floor room facing the parking lot. The condition of the room and the overall experience did not match the expectations created by the resort's advertising. The difference between what was advertised and what we received was significant. For the price paid, I expected a much better-maintained room and a view closer to what was represented when booking. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet expectations, and I would not choose this resort again based on this experience. read more

This property is spectacular. The grounds are spotless and beautifully maintained with lush and colorful landscaping. The staff is helpful and courteous. Our suite was spotless and had every amenity from silverware and dishes to very comfortable beds and couches. The beach area is very nice with chairs and lounges as well as towels. The pool area was clean and very nice. While on the older side, it is a great property that is meticulously maintained and operated. read more

I have been going here for years but definintly have seen a downward change since new owners took over a couple of years ago. They started with charging a $25 DAILY parking fee! This on top of the high price of the unit already rented. Then they started making you pay for some things that were free in the past. And now they are letting the rooms go to hell. We were in a 2BR/2BA suite which is one we usually stay in each year. (159) But this year the unit had major issues with ants all over the kitchen counter and small flies in the second bathroom. They put stuff down the drain in the bathroom but that did nothing so we could not use that bathroom thru out our stay. Then the ants! They came in and sprayed RAID around the stove area and under the cooking grid. And we had a 3 year old and 1 year old with us. NOT GOOD. And it did not work so we could not do any food prep on the counters. When i checked out (we had 2 places) I spoke to the manager who said they had problems with ants in the past in some units. I told her in all our years going we never had a problem. Her response was that we were lucky! And the fllies in the 2nd bathfoom? She did not know why but maybe the toilet needed to be resealed and she would have someone look into it. So we could not use the 2nd bathroom for the 3.5 days we were there plus could not use the kitchen counters and all she could come up with was giving me a $50 credit! And those of you that have been there know how expensive their rooms are but we pay it because it has always been so nice there and very well kept up. So $50 is nothing for the inconvenience to us. She should have given a 50% credit of one of the nights. This new company does not seem to care. They said Ryan is still there and after checking out i got a survey from him and detailed my bad experience. No response. He has always been great so i dont know what happened. Anyway this review is to warn others about the PEST problem and the reaction from management. I really liked it here but dont know if i will be back. Very sad to see this place go downhill. read more

Just don't go in the beach water... Solid hotel. Tons of activities for kids, including plenty of grass to run around so my young daughter has fun. Rooms get the job done (clean, quick responses on any needs), but definitely are dated. Beautiful views including the beach. Staff were accommodating and friendly. No restaurant on the resort which isn't a problem given the hundreds of restaurants within 10 minutes. But back to the beach water. As someone who goes to the cape annually since a kid, I was so excited when I jumped in and it was the warmest water I'd ever been in throughout new England. There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas provided by the hotel, and not crowded, so that was another bonus. The second day in the water, I realized that the water shouldn't be this brown... Or this warm... The sand had so many sharp rocks, shells and other objects that none of us could go into the water barefoot. Turns out Lewis Bay is used by the ferries so there's a ton of runoff ending up in the water. A website also mentioned it being used as an outlet for septic systems. DON'T SWIM IN THE BEACH WATER, STICK TO THE POOL. My 1 year old had terrible rashes and red spots on her skin when we got home, despite us bathing her immediately after both trips to the beach. read more

Our family had a wonderful 3 night getaway to Cape Cod and stayed at Green Harbor Resort at the end of June. We stayed in a 2 BR townhouse which had PLENTY of room for the 6 of us. VERY VERY clean. Staff was so friendly - it felt like it was family owned. The beach was very nice with calm little waves and plenty of beach chairs, lounge chairs, and clean beach towels to choose from. Very nice heated pool, mini golf, and a lot of bicycles to use. My kids are ages 11-18 and we enjoyed it but I wish I had known about this place when they were younger because it's really ideal for younger families. Great location too...we went to several excellent restaurants nearby. Also only about a 20 minute drive to go Whale Watching in Hyannis which was amazing too! read more

Great for a bachelorette party or family weekend! Easy access to get uber and pizza delivery. It would also be a great and affordable family option! The playground is nothing special but a nice option for kids and the beach is very quiet. read more

I like that it's on the ocean and appears to have a lot of activities for families. Generally, I enjoyed our stay, but the cottage for 6 was TINY. Like hardly manageable it was so small. It was nice to have a deck though. It seems to make more sense to just rent a cottage elsewhere for the same price. read more

What an incredible and relaxing place. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, especially the lady at the front desk who gave us a lot of excellent tips and information about the area. The room was very clean and comfortable and contained all the amenities we needed. The grounds were absolutely immaculate and the views were amazing. It was awesome waking up each morning to a view of the bay. The beach was also very nice and well-maintained. Unfortunately, we had so much packed into our week that we weren't able to spend much time at the resort, but we really enjoyed the time we were able to spend there. We booked Cape Codder 28 off season when school vacation was extended for 2 weeks due to Covid. We had 2 adults and 2 young children. The view of the harbor from the unit is lovely and is steps from the canoe dock. Our kids loved the pool, mini golf, and shuffleboard and the staff was very friendly. Our unit had a fully stocked kitchen including a dishwasher, which I was not expecting. The downside was the size of the unit. Although it technically slept 5, that does not mean 5 people can comfortably fit in the space. We were constantly trying to maneuver around each other and bumping into furniture. There is one heater/AC unit which was located in the kitchen. It was adequate to control the temperature in the unit but you need to leave the bedroom door open. This was fine for our family, but may not be ideal for couples or friends traveling together. Our biggest complaint was the plumbing in the unit. The toilet clogged within 2 hours of our arrival. When I called the front desk I was asked 'did you try plunging it?'. (I personally have a rule not to perform plumbing duties while on vacation.) Maintenance came quickly and was more than courteous. The issues did continue and my husband had to plunge the toilet at least once but chose not to tell me about it until later. Aside from the tight quarters and plumbing issues, we had an enjoyable stay and the kids have already asked to return again. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. All of the staff are incredibly nice. It is located in a kind of residential area, so nice and quiet, but only 2 miles from Main street. I rode a bike to Main street and it only took me about 15 minutes. The view is absolutely breathtaking. All facilities are very clean, and you have everything you need to have a great stay. There's even rocking chairs on the beach, as well as a playground, toys for kids. I will definitely be back! read more

My family rented an entire cottage for a few nights. Mid-week at the end of May, the rate was extremely reasonable. I think it was less than $200/night. Two bedrooms, each with two full beds. Full bathroom upstairs. Downstairs, a half bath, and a living room with a Murphy bed and a pull out couch. There were only 4 of us, but it would have slept much more. Kitchen had a full refrigerator, dish washer, microwave, stove, coffee pot, dishes, pots and pans. Kitchen table sat 6. Full deck with 3 beach chairs and a patio set that sat 6 too, with an umbrella. You sit up in bed each morning to a view of the water, absolutely beautiful. Pool on site looked clean and well kept, and the beach area was the same. The resort provides beach chairs and also has a great playground for kids. Housekeeping was excellent! Tons of parking, and each cottage has it's own charcoal grill. Could not have asked for more out of this mini vacation. We stayed the last few days of May but were lucky to have a few super sunny days in the 80s. Perfect. I will be back! read more

I just spent 5 nights with my wife and 3yo daughter. My initial phone reservation was good, but upon arrival we discovered that our requested waterfront room (which we paid extra for) had been allocated to someone else. Fortunately, we were still able to get the waterfront room because the other guest had not checked in yet, but we were not notified of the change prior to our arrival. We were shocked that they would have changed our room type without notifying us via email or phone to see if we were still interested in staying at this location. Chances are we would have opted for a refund and gone somewhere else - maybe not. Once we checked in, our expectations were met but nothing too out of the ordinary. Bed was so-so, amenities offered were also so-so. We found it annoying that the staff were constantly diving their golf carts in front of our window - for no apparent reason. In my mind, they should have been going around the back to ensure they aren't being too intrusive. We also had a situation during our stay whereby a police office came to our door at 8pm to ask if we had small children (which we do!) and to check if any bathing suits were missing as they had just apprehended a convicted child predator who passed out in his vehicle and who had young girl's bathing suits in his truck. I know the hotel cannot control this but this was extremely upsetting and nerve racking! The staff never contacted us to address this issue. In my mind, the situation was handled unprofessional by lodge staff. In short, if you are planning on staying in West Yarmouth this is a decent choice provided you're not particular about the room type - and will accept what is given to you at the time of check-in. But there are many nicer options - so homework is recommended. read more

initially we rented a small two bedroom house but when we arrived we were not happy there were noise children next door and a barking dog so we went back to the office and spoke to the host Eugenie Schott who offered us another unit which was nicer and in a better location for the same price. Great customer service but then these managers have been there for 30+ years!. Our upstairs two bedroom condo had two bathrooms, a kitchen and a balcony overlooking the yard and water. We were near the pool but the weather was not good enough for us to go enjoy the use of it but it looked like a nice large pool. location was great for going out and about during the day to sightsee close to stores and restaurants. For a family vacation this is the absolute ideal place. It is part of the Red Jacket Reorts chain which are in Cape Cod and NH. We rented a "Cape Codder" which in the middle of the week in mid May was only $90 a night. Our studio cottage included a queen bed, couch, chair, coffee table, tv, kitchenette (with all necessities) including a mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven and coffee pot and a small dining table. We had our own deck with chaise lounges and deck chairs with a view of the water which was absolutely beautiful. Although the weather was chilly and gray we made use of the outside facilities too. There is a heated, well kept pool, mini golf, shuffle board, bike rentals (even baby seats and helmets for all), a private beach with available lounge chairs, and a playground (structure and swings) which our son loved. The grounds are amazingly maintained and the views are gorgeous. From the beach you can watch boats and ferries leaving the harbor. In additon the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Only suggestion would be a decor update in the rooms. Minor compared to all of the positives. read more

We were there for a short two days stay in early June and everything was perfect. When we arrived we learned that we were placed in an upper level room so I asked to be arrange in the main level since we have kids and a disabled person. The staff happily moved us to the lower level suites facing the Bay Area and made sure to place a handicap sign for a parking spot right outside our cottage room. Our suite was neat and clean. It has two bedrooms, one with two queen beds and a walk-in full bath, the other room has two twin beds and a shared full bath by the kitchen. This space was comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids, but could even fit more if needed. The kitchen has a full size fridge, stove and dishwasher. Utensils and dishes were very clean and have a good variety of sizes. The kitchen has a dining table that fits 4 people and the living room has a couch and two armchairs. The suites also has a walk out patio with 3 patio chairs and a charcoal grill. We did a lot of grilling while we were there. We bought some lobster and seafood at the fish pier market in Chatham and grill them in the afternoon. It was wonderful. the kids and grandma enjoyed the beach a lot, they even caught some snails, clams and blue crabs by the bay area. There's also a playground for the kids to play by the beach. The beach is clean and shallow so you feel safe if you have kids. Also the road leading to the resort is a little secluded so you can let the kids roam around. The facility also have free bike to rent out and have charcoal in the supply room that you could use. Overall a very pleasant experience at the resort for a very affordable weekday price ($169/night). read more

The Green Harbor Resort in West Yarmouth is by far THE BEST place to stay on Cape Cod. My wife and just returned from a week there. It was fantastic. We have been going to the Cape every year now since 1993. We have stayed in rental beach homes, B&Bs, Motel/Inns and other Resorts; nothing compares to the Green Harbor. The Green Harbor is one of several properties run by the Red Jacket Resorts. I have never been to another Red Jacket property because the Green Harbor is like going "home". We now have been to the Green Harbor the past 14 years in early June. Every year it gets better and better. The place is immaculate. Dick and Eugenie Schott have managed the Green Harbor for the past 30 years; it is apparent that it is truly a labor of love. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The outdoor area is lush and well-manicured. The beach is pristine. The pool is nicely heated and always crystal clear. The staff is friendly and professional. The views from the Green Harbor are absolutely gorgeous. When I think of what heaven might be like, I think of the Green Harbor. Located at the end of Baxter Road, a full mile off the craziness that is Route 28, the sounds of nature and ferry fog horns await you along with magnificent views of Lewis Bay. Be sure to bring some seafood to grill and wine to drink (there is no restaurant on site) and sit back and enjoy the Cape the way it should be. The Green Harbor is the place for me! read more
