It has been a very long time since I had been to a free birds. The last time was in Houston. So I was a bit disoriented w the menu etc. The person who assembled my order was very pleasant and helpful. She helped me assemble a top quality burrito. I ordered the monster and it was definitely a beast. I ordered cilantro lime rice which had a great flavor. Also in my burrito I had steak refried beans shred cheese lettuce steak pico etc. it was very filling it was ordered in a way cafeteria style. I got the chip and drink combo add on. The cheese had a rich spicy slightly smoky flavor. You could also order salsa or guac The hot sauce was strong but pretty flavorful. It helped my burrito. I was smart I didn't add much. There was a great fountain drink selection there. I would say a great value both in food atmosphere and pleasant staff. All in all a great success here. read more

Iya Dasher and today I had an order to pick up at 5:07pm and did not receive the order until 5:27pm. I was told the order was still being prepared due to their being a larger number of orders. The entire time the order I was scheduled to pick up sat on the top counter above the prep station behind the register. The worker that told me the order was still being prepared never even looked to see if it was ready, only gave a blanket response. Doordash, Uber eats or in person customers should be treated with the utmost importance. Without them you have no business. Do Better. read more

We used to love the Freebirds in Arlington so looked forward to trying this location. We selected a Monster sized fajita chicken burrito. He suggested the garlic tortilla (we did not taste garlic at all). The whole burrito had little taste. Maybe they expect you to just add the pico and spicy sauces, but I wanted to taste the chicken and what we did select, but it was all a bland waste. We also ordered the loaded queso and chips. For $8 the bowl was very small and it was pretty spicy. The "fresh" chips he told us we were getting meant he had to open a new bag. Would not recommend. read more

I've eaten here three times. A burrito each time. Literally the most overly salty, flavorless, disgusting burrito I've ever eaten in my life. Shame on me for wasting my money and time and torturing myself to eat this garbage three times. Makes me squirm every time I reminisce the foul flavors in my mouth. Went here for dinner for the first time the other night after ONLY ever trying Chipotle. Everyone has always told me that Freebirds was better, but I just had to see for myself. First of all, when you walk in, the employees are very friendly and enthusiastic greeters. It is the same concept of Chipotle as ordering through the line, just a little more overwhelming​ with the abundance of toppings! You can choose from a burrito, bowl, salad, nachos, quesadillas...then decide on beans, rice, proteins, toppings, etc. I loved that they offered Mexican​ rice here, unlike Chipotle, AND they serve two types of chicken (white and dark meat). Cilantro is also one of the toppings! I ordered the exact same thing I​ get at Chipotle to compare the two (bowl with cilantro lime rice, no beans, white meat chicken, corn salsa, pico de gallo, lettuce, PLUS cilantro), and let me say, this bowl was definitely delicious. It has more of a fresh/healthy flavor and was a few cents cheaper than its competitor. Overall​, this was a great experience- clean interior, kind employees, and delicious food. I still am partial to Chipotle (we have a tight bond), but will definitely be returning here! read more

First off, I fucking love Freebirds. Ok I don't love it, but I fucking like the shit out of it! Dined here for lunch today, about the 10th time, yeah I travel often so what? Sue me. This Freebirds isn't going to be rated as my highest location I've eaten at before. But that doesn't mean it's bad. I got a chicken bowl, toppings of my choice, and it's was extremely delicious. Chips and salsa of course, queso is amazing but I'm trying to cut calories, beach season is upon us. The only reason I scored 4 stars is because the salsa with the chips tasted like salsa water, actually very disappointing for someone who doesn't really give a shit about any type of food. It was just very watery tasting and well I'll just get the queso next time. Also all these irresponsible yelpers giving this place 1 star reviews, they are not to be trusted. These are the people that ask to speak to a manager. You do not like these people. But you will like this Freebirds. Hopefully. 4/5 read more

My first experience with Freebird was a mixed bag of "Great food!" and "What the heck just happened?" The food? Excellent flavor. Great selection of ingredients and portion sizes. This is kind of a cross between Subway/Taco Bell/Hard Rock Cafe for people with a little extra disposable income. Not just terribly expensive but I paid $20 for a small burrito, nachos w/ carnitas and two drinks. The quality is there though. It is a cafeteria style build your own plate type service. Did I mentioned that the food was pretty darn good? It is. Now for the "What the heck...." part. When you get out of your car the music hits you. You walk in and it is just chaos. That might be just SLIGHTLY exaggerated...but only slightly. At the line you are shoulder to shoulder with customers talking to servers that are shoulder to shoulder and everyone is shouting over loud music. All while trying to pick from 4 sizes, 4 tortillas, 5 varieties and 32 additional ingredients. For someone that likes to be thoughtful about what he orders, that was tough. Not to mention I'm partially deaf so I just started telling the first person that looked at me what I wanted. I gave it a 4 star for the food because that is what I know. I rate the food and not the experience because I'm a fat old curmudgeon that doesn't fit the demographic of this place. The food was great though. read more

W e ordered online "contactless delivery". no parking for contactless delivery but the online form said describe the vehicle and pull up and they will deliver. so we pulled up and waited. Finally called and they said ok be right out. Waited a few more minutes and they got brought it ou t and said he couldn't read the Vehicle description so asked my name which was on the order. We ate I n the parking lot and the food was COLD. Nothing was hot or even warm. I had a bowl my husband had a burrito. I would not recommend the contactless or online delivery. I'm guessing it's made as soon as the order is placed and they don't have a warmer to keep it warm. read more

i don't ever leave reviews but i think it's important for people to know when a restaurant is serving raw meat, chicken to be exact. this is dangerous and down right careless. there were several pieces of raw chicken in my bowl. i confronted the GM about it and he blamed it on the grill cook immediately, at least twice in his apology - ultimately, it is the responsibility of the GM himself, not his grill cook. on top of that i was only given a partial refund for my order which i thought was cheap and ridiculous. to make matters worse the restaurant smelled dirty. they desperately need to make some changes and retraining asap. serving raw chicken to the pubic, esp children who may have eaten here that today, is simply wrong and embarrassing on their part. read more

Chipotle on delicious steroids. I was pretty grumpy walking in here when my boyfriend (a huge burrito fan) said he had to eat here at least once before heading back to Cincinnati, where Freebirds has yet to make an impact. I don't really like any type of taco/burrito/etc., so I just got a hybrid burrito while my boyfriend got the Freebird sized meal with chips & queso. Portions are huge... even for the hybrid size. Ummmm wtf. First of all, +1 for originally; I love the choice between cilantro & spanish rice. Refried beans is also an option here (not at chipotle). Best part was the queso. oh my gosh queso. Freebirds queso has a nice kick to it; sooooo much better than qdoba. Definitely a must try--it even converted non-burrito lovers like me. Only thing is the price--a little pricey, yet still worth it for the quality of food. tl;dr big portions, yummy options (refried beans!) queso is freaking deliciously cheesy with a nice kick. read more

Hubby and I are regulars here and we love it because: *Vegetarian options--their refried beans are delish, and you can get guac or sour cream no charge with the veggie option. The food always tastes fresh and you can never go wrong with adding cilantro. *Staff and management are nothing short of awesome. Always friendly and make us feel welcome :) I like how they are not pretentious about hiring employees with ink or their own sense of personal style--goes quite well with the theme of "free" hehe. *The cilantro rice....omg I wish I could take large barrels of this home with me. Same goes for their salsa and queso. Seriously...large barrels of that too. *You can order online and have it ready to pick up on busy evenings. There is also the fantastic Freebirds Fanatics reward card...get 10 points and BAM, free burrito or bowl! Recently had the worst catering experience ever waiting almost 2 hours past the promised delivery time, would give 0 stars if possible.

I understand catering for 400 people is difficult. But if you can't fill the order, don't take the order. Our catering was 1.5 hours late and the chips and cookie were just free in the bag. The food every was cold and every burrito was mostly rice with almost no meat. I normally like freebirds but this location was just awful. read more

So amazing! When I said I needed to be gluten free they washed hands, used separate utensils, handed me a menu with gluten and some other allergies clearly marked. They were obviously knowledge and very considerate. Might be the best gluten-free experience I've ever had - AND the food is amazing! It's a fun place too.
