    Carnitas Plate

Authentic Mexican food - not TexMex. Asada and carnitas were very flavorful. The flour tortillas are homemade. We loved the warm black bean dip they serve with chips. The dip has a bit of a kick but not too much - which is exactly the way I like it. April our waitress was very friendly and answered all our questions regarding the restaurant and the food! We went on a Saturday morning for an early lunch. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely go back to try their dinner menu.

Dined on the patio on a Thursday night. Service, food and drinks were all great. We had esquites (street corn), ceviche, sopecitos, and cochinita pibil. Portions were nice and the rice was very tasty. I had a beer and didn't try any mezcal, but my friends enjoyed theirs. Can't wait to come back!

Our first time here. We went just before a concert at the Hippodrome (they share bathrooms). A small corner spot with a great selection at the bar and dinner menu. We had chicken enchiladas and chicken and beef combo fajitas. All were very tasty. There house salsa was really flavorful. Topped off with tres leches cake quick was really good. Staff was friendly and fast.

Luis N the server was so awesome!!! GREAT ambiance and stellar location. The inside is smaller than you think, but the small size of space is redeemed by the hearty portions and non stop flow of beans. If you have the chance to try the ghost pepper chili oil concoction (macha salsa? -e kolb) MY HOLY HECK PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF UR TASTE BUDS DO IT!!!! It is a snack and a half, or, as ally might dispute, a snack and three quarters.

Just what we were searching for in Waco, Texas! My wife and I came for the day to watch our daughter perform at McLane Stadium and stumbled across this amazing place nearby. We had some appetizers and our favorite drinks, tamarindo and hibiscus mezcal. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in town again!

This place is fantastic!!! So fresh and delicious. Taco meat wasn't chewy or dry- it was so moist and fresh! Wow I was so blown away. Skinny marg was yummy- no mixes here! I just wish the marg was served up not in a tall....but that's my only issue with this place :) bean dip was yummy just a little runny. Great service! In super cute downtown Waco

Trendy place for a downtown date night ! The mezcal and cocktails are really and unique. I had the $8 mezcalita blended and I was very impressed. They have indoor and outdoor seating with competent and quick staff. They give you chips and salsa with a black bean dip. The food is not the main reason to go-- more people go for the location and atmosphere and vibes. The food is not bad, just normal. Refried beans needed more salt. Nothing on the menu is extremely rare, but good quality, Overall, a great place to go with a loved one for a fun occasion or a group night out! I give it a Waco 3.5. Rounding up to 4.

The bartender I had was super awesome and took great care of me. This drink I don't even know what it's called but it was soooooo good. I first saw this spot while going to the Klassy Glass Wine Bar next door. I knew that I had to check it out before I left the area. When I walked in, I was really in awe of how spacious it was inside! This would be the perfect space for a dance floor. There's a small stage to your right that's used for the live bands that perform. The bar is lit up in blue and there are two large TV's that hang from the ceiling. There are several other TV's hanging on the back wall too, maybe about 10 TV's total? It's a great place to watch sports for sure. The warehouse feeling is very eminent with the sky high ceilings and industrial looking interior. In the back, you'll find a couple of different games. I can't recall all of them, but I'm pretty sure I saw a pool table back there. The bartenders are really friendly and interactive. Although this has been pegged as a "new bar", it seemed to have many regulars there who knew the bar crew (probably from the previous bar that was here called Muddle). The other people at the bar were really friendly also. I actually ended up meeting a few peeps there that I ended up going to Austin's a few doors down with. Although the crew and other patrons were cool, this place was super dead on a Saturday night! The rodeo and town fair were going on that weekend, but I still couldn't believe how empty this place was. As far as the drinks go, they are dirt cheap! My bill was under $10 that night! I had a cranberry vodka and a Stella Artois. The cranberry Vodka was a little too sweet for me, and I couldn't taste any vodka in my glass at all. This was kind of a disappointment. I was happy to pay a cheap price but not so thrilled that there was barely any alcohol. Overall, it's a solid option for cheap drinks and to watch sports. Maybe things will pick up a few months from now.

The vibe was really nice, especially with the purple lighting that gave the whole rooftop a cool, laid-back atmosphere. I made it just in time for last call, which felt like perfect timing to grab one last drink and take in the night air. I ordered a Dusty Road. It had a nice tart kick to it, which I liked, but I honestly didn't taste much of the honey. A little more honey probably would have balanced the bitterness better. That said, it was still a really good drink and definitely hit the spot after a full day out. Overall, Lucky Buck's was a great stop to end the evening--good atmosphere, nice rooftop setting, and a chill way to close out the night. If you're in Waco and looking for somewhere to wind down with a drink and a view, it's definitely worth checking out.
