It's one of those Seattle spots I can keep coming back to and still feel like I'm having a proper night out. Catch me here with the girls, a Bellafonte Cocktail in one hand and the hummus plate somewhere within reach. That combination has yet to fail me. The views obviously do a lot of the heavy lifting when you first walk in, but what keeps me coming back is that the experience doesn't stop there. The staff is consistently wonderful, the food and drinks hold their own, and the atmosphere makes it equally easy to stop in for a cocktail or accidentally stay much longer than planned. Bellafonte + hummus + the girls. Any day of the week.

It was so refreshing and delicious! The service was also fantastic--everyone was friendly and attentive. I loved the cozy rooftop atmosphere, and the prices were actually really reasonable for the views and experience. The food menu isn't huge, but they have some good little shareable snacks that are perfect to enjoy with your drinks. Such a fun spot for a girls' night, date, or just drinks with a view!

Final stop on last night's GNO and arguably one of the best places in Seattle to end a night…read more The Nest is sexy. There's really no other way I want to describe it. The rooftop views are some of the best in the city, especially once Seattle starts lighting up, and the atmosphere is ultimately what you show up and stay for. Drinks are definitely pricey at $20+, but I appreciate that the snacks remain closer to happy hour pricing. We ordered the shishito peppers and hummus plate for around $11-$12 each, which felt surprisingly reasonable considering the setting. Staff was suuuuper nice! And after striking out on espresso martinis at our previous stop, we finally got our redemption here. The Nest's espresso martini ranks somewhere mid-tier for me compared to others around the city, but at that point we were just happy to have one in hand. You're definitely paying a premium for cocktails, but the food pricing helps balance things out and that view makes a pretty convincing argument for staying for another round. Come for a drink. Stay because Seattle looks really good from up here.

The first time, we had a reservation and were charged a $50 table fee, so this time we went without a reservation and thankfully avoided that fee. Unfortunately, the food and drinks just aren't really my favorite. The snack food wasn't anything that stood out to me, and I gave the espresso martinis another try this time around, but they still weren't my favorite. That said, you really can't beat the views! The rooftop atmosphere is gorgeous, and the staff has always been incredibly sweet and welcoming both times I've visited. It's just not my personal favorite rooftop in Seattle when it comes to the overall food and drink experience.

I had expectations to tell you the truth, but I was let down a bit. Although, I was convinced to try out the mozzarella sticks and that was a fantastic starter. Highly recommend it. They were huge and thick with the good white stuff stretching out of it when you pull on it after your first bite. Best mozzarella stick I've ever had. As for the chicken and waffles, that's another story. Now, this isn't your normal chicken and waffles here. It's a spicy chicken and waffle sandwich. Someone was trying to be clever with this one and granted, on paper it sounds like a good idea. Execution was pretty poor however. The spice on that chicken was overpowering. There was a lack of syrup when there should've been more. And the goat cheese made it worse. Honestly, if it were just a regular fried chicken that was not spicy and had a good amount of syrup with no goat cheese in the sandwich, it would've satisfied my craving hands down. It wasn't that unfortunately. Should just keep it simple with that one. I would've been happy with that. The stroganoff was solid though. Did not expect that to be so good coming out of a bar. Way better than what Olive Garden could ever dish out. So maybe that says a lot for some folks. I'd come here for the stroganoff and the mozzarella sticks. As for the place itself, it definitely has a saloon vibe to it. Place looked pretty slow when I was there, but there was a good amount of people finishing up their meals, so I probably just missed the breakfast rush. Bartender/server was quite friendly and there were no problems, so that's always good.
