Food is ok ,I personally think they aren't consistent with pushing out quantity when they have an rush ..been here a few times recently and they messed up on my corn beef sandwich was very disappointed.. friend of mine wanted Lunch a couple days later so I go back to freedom and kinda the same issue. When you make a Chicken Cesar salad, you don't make the dressing on the salad when it's prepared to-go..I order chicken wings and they weren't well done like I asked . Closest Diner to Metro Airport off the Eureka road entrance. Just a few minutes into the South entrance, filled our bellies prior to a flight. Great Ma n Pa run business with really great food and low prices. That Potato Bacon Soup Omg so delicious, made with a rue, flour n Bacon grease like the start of Country Gravy. She had a Double Gyro Platter spot on Wonderful. Me a marvelous Country Fried Steak n Eggs filled the belly with Love. We been a dozen times, folks fill the place open till close everyday. My first time here. A decent place to get decent food. I had the grilled cheese with bacon. This is usually a make or break choice. If they can't make this right then I'm bouncing. The sandwich however was cooked perfectly and dare I say they put too much bacon on it. There's no such thing as too much bacon. I will be back tomorrow. read more

I dined in. I ordered my steak medium-well. It was cooked well done. When I asked for them to replace it with one as I asked for it to be cooked she told me that was the last steak. When I got my bill I noticed that they automatically added a credit card convenience fee. When I went to pay the girl just stood there looking at me as though she was waiting on something. I asked her was there a problem in which she stated that I didn't give her a CC. I informed her that I was not paying by card. The whole experience was just awful and unprofessional. Stopped in for a late breakfast this morning, frankly didn't expect much. The outside is nothing special; the interior is clean but utilitarian in nature. We were warmly greeted by the waitresses and presented with menus that rival a Jersey diner in terms of the variety and number of items. Coffee was tasty and refilled quickly. I had the Southern Skillet for about six bucks, I think, and it was very, very tasty! Husband loved his Ultimate Freedom Omelet. Easy access and lots of parking. We will be back! I first went there a couple of months ago while on the part-time job in Taylor. A crew of us wanted to go to the Burger King on Eureka near Inkster Road. But, their dining room was closed and we didn't want to to do drive-thru for lunch. So, while we were discussing what to do we spied Freedom Coney next door.So, we headed over and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of the menu, the quality of the food and the great service of the staff. Plus, I learned they are willing to do something almost no other restaurant will do anymore--they will take a phone order for "dine-in". Yesterday, my work partner and I took advantage of that policy. While coming back from Livonia we called in our order while we were still 15 to 20 minutes away. When arrived, our food was on the table waiting for us ! What a time saver and made our lunch more relaxing. :) read more

Isis makes the best home-cooked style foods. They're waffles are to DIE for and I haven't had any like them still. Not only is the food amazing, but it's amazingly cheap. Their prices are amazingly cheap as well! You can't pass them up, our family eats there as often as we can! read more

This is my first review. I'm a patient person but this place is ridiculous. From having bugs flying everywhere to have the servers eat then handling the customer food without EVER washing their hands is unacceptable. Myself and my family have stopped going in to eat there because lack of cleanness and sanitary habits but today we decided to try again and order Togo WRONG DECISION. ONCE again this place disappointing / a waste of money . Ordered a ham and cheese pita , got home and there was no ham. Asked for the pickles to be on side for my chicken pita but of course pickles and pickles juice all in box , soaking the pita. Just gross. Call back and asked to get another ham and cheese pita made (like I paid for) and also a side of pita so my daughter could remake her chicken finger pita without pickle juice saturation and when we got there the owner was acting rude As hell. Like listen there is NO HAM in my HAM AND CHEESE PITA... like wtf she then stated they can't put pickles on the side because they do not have to go ramekins. I told her she obviously does because with the cheese pita they sent me they put pickles in a ramekin on the side they just didn't do it for the chicken pita. Just so crazy that owner wants to argue over pickles especially because I've been coming there for over 10 years . Ever since this Coney Island changed ownership it is been going downhill.... But needless to say we won't be back!! If you want to go to an unsanitary place with food that's underwhelming and always messed up I would recommend you head to Freedom Coney because that's exactly what you will get !! I went to breakfast Monday morning and ordered a country omelet, they brought out a farmers omelet. I told the waitress I didn't like the green peppers and onions and she told me I shouldn't have ordered the farmers. I asked the manager/owner to take it off my bill (I never touched the plate.) And she told me I shouldn't have ordered it. I wont go back even for free coneys! read more

Just another greasy spoon w/ cheap eats. In fact, the eats were REALLY cheap. Our bill was around eight dollars, it doesn't get much cheaper than that! Typical Coney Island type food, I wasn't blown away by anything except how cheap the bill was. read more

This place is TERRIBLE. Screwed up my order, had to drive back. Then I realize they overcharged me and they refused to give me back the difference. Then she tried to make me feel like it was my fault. I then asked for new pita bread as mine had been sitting in the bag with the messed up salad and she told me no, that it was fine.
