What appeals first and foremost to me about Harry's is the quality and care that it's owner puts into every item on their menu. Everything is pretty much made by him and it shows in the flavor. My wife and I like to sit at the counter and talk recipes with Niko (the owner) because his soups are made from scratch (try his bean and ham, his chicken & dumpling, his cabbage -- really all of his tasty soups). Mom even chose to come here for her birthday lunch over any other place in town. She went with the Polish combo platter, while I enjoyed the Wayne burger (a meatcopolis of burger, ham, corned beef, swiss cheese on a bun with onion). My favorite sandwich at Harry's is the Wayne burger! It's a meat lovers dream you not only get a hand pattied burger but also a nice thick slice of ham and a generous amount of corned beef with your choice of cheese all on a bun, I prefer it on grilled rye bread...amazing! I like Nico the owner/cook he is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is good, however in the economy has taken its toll. The food was amazing! My sister and I hadn't been there before and it was St. Patrick's weekend. They offered a complete meal with all the trimmings and my sister had the corn beef sandwich. It was so tasty she ate the whole thing and she never eats the whole thing. The service was lovely and friendly. Prices were great. Would highly recommend for a great meal. Its a solid 3. The place is small, old but quaint. There are sitns with specials plastered everywhere. A feq booths, even fewer tables and a few stools at the counter. Three TVs line 3 corners, and every booth seat has brown duct tape on it. Its a Mom and Pop shop for sure. The service was quick, casual and felt like my Mom was taking my order. Its a burger with ham and corned beef and cheese and all the trimmings. I got a Slim Harry ham sandwich. We shared fried and bowl of Chicken Lemon Rice. Soup came out and it was split. As in the egg had seperated and it was like a scrambled lemon egg soup. I didnt send it back, the taste wasnt bad, its just not real CLR. Fries were good portion and very good, we ate all of these. Slim Harry was a ham sandwich with lettuce tomato and swiss on a long sub bun. I could have gotten a better cut of ham tbh, i got a lot of fat and some cartiledge. It wasnt swiss cheese I got either, it tasted like White American. But again, it wasnt bad, it was pretty good for what it was. The burger looked huge. It tasted fresh, good size patty and ham slices, lots of crisp lettuce and juicy tomato. It was an enjoyable experience. Id probably try them again. read more

This is a low key breakfast spot . This is my first time there and I have no complaints with the service or the food . The restaurant is a dive but the value of the food is high and they give generous portions. The toast kinda sucked. But the breakfast was good. Extensive menu and hours which is hard to find any restaurants open late, since Covid. Referring to the traditional coney islands that serve breakfast all day. I love Corned Beef. And this place should be ashamed of having the name "Corned beef " in the business name. Cheap, prepackaged meat. Thrown on the grill which makes it even more tough. Reubens were around $8. Probably no more than a quarter pound of meat. Guy working the grill wasn't wearing gloves and was eating onion rings while cooking orders. No hand washing, in between either. I've eaten there twice. I really want to like this place as it is just my type. Independently owned, small and kinda "divey" but unfortunately, the food just doesn't measure up. The soup is home made, but just doesn't taste good (I had the veg-beef and the chicken noodle) both times it was lukewarm and both soups had a strange taste to them. Not rich at all. The first time I was there, I had the "Chicago" coneys and they were simply awful. Not in the least like a true Chicago dog. This last time I went (and it will be the last time), I had a couple sliders with cheese. They were not even mediocre. Dried out razor thin meat, very few onions and they didn't steam everything together. The only thing that saved 'em was the ketchup and mustard. BTW, the service is good and the place has a "homey" feel to it. I really don't like to give mediocre reviews to independent places and like i said, I really want to like this place, but the food needs a lot of improvement. i really wish the owner would skinny up his menu (i think there are way too many things on it to do 'em well) and then go out to some really notable places (like Motts in Detroit or Bates in Livonia for sliders) and compare his food to them. I think he really cares and tries, but is just doing some things fundamentally wrong. read more

I walked into the restaurant at 7:58pm when the restaurant closes at 9pm per the signs all over the windows.. the guy behind the counter looks at our party of 4 & said we're only taking carry out orders.. mind you 3 tables in the dinning area had ppl sitting at them eating.. so I asked the guy you close at 9pm right?
