While trying to navigate the hell that is health insurance, I stumbled upon Young Insurance Brokers…read moreand Rob Young (the owner). I was confused about lots of things and Rob spent quite a bit of time helping me. He explained how things work and the different kinds of coverage and really helped me get educated about what I needed. I wanted to purchase my insurance from Rob because he spent so much time with me, however the best plan for me turned out to be one that doesn't pay commissions. Despite that, Rob still helped me with information, phone numbers, etc., even though there was literally nothing in it for him! As soon as I need other insurance, I will be going back to Young Insurance Brokers. It's rare to experience excellent customer service, but with Rob I got great customer service even though I wasn't even a customer!

Thought this sounded a bit "off" so I contacted Progressive and they had absolutely no issue insuring my newer home and hadn't heard of any declinations in our zip code due to a home being over 5yrs old. +seems like a nice guy to talk to - saying a new home under 10yrs is uninsurable is a weird way to say I don't want to provide my service. A simple, " I'm currently at my capacity of handling new clients and if I can service you in the future may I contact you" would have been just fine. Overall just a very weird interaction. *shrug*

have been with this office for about 30 years with great service. Unfortunatly something has…read morechanged. i have items in a self storage unit. they require a copy of the declaration page of my insurance policy covering goods in storage. This has been no problem in the past for this insurance office. Recently the policy came up for renewal and the storage place wants confirmation on the renewed policy of course. I scheduled the payment online and it was paid. two days after that I asked Carol Drakes office to email me the new declarations page for the current policy so I did not have to buy additional insurance from the storage place. Well this is where the problem begins. They confirmed that the payment had been processed and the policy was good for another year. I asked for the declarations page and what they sent me started with a BALANCE DUE page showing the policy as expiring in a few days. After more emails and days....they still would not/could not send me a declarations page for the new current policy. I was told by the office manager that this is designed by headquarters and comes as a package and that the BALANCE DUE page means nothing. So I will have to purchase the additional insurance from the storage place because Carl Drakes office manager thinks what she sent was more than what is needed. No common sense. I am afraid this demonstrates what is going to happen if I ever need to make a claim. not a good place to start from. This is why I am going to be leaving State Farm, Carol Drakes office, and obtain different coverage. I hope you have better luck with this office.

I was very unimpressed with the customer service throughout my time with them, especially for the price that I was paying. When I saw the customer service my fiancé was receiving at geico (who he's been a customer of 13 years), I decided to switch over to them when I recently bought my new vehicle. I called to cancel my policy with Allstate and I thought we had everything settled when I let them know I would send over all pertinent information to make sure we could cancel without there being any lapse in coverage. I had not heard back after 2 days about my cancellation, so I called and realized I made a typo in the email address (oops!). The shock I had when my agent said she had NO idea who I was and that we never had this conversation was absolutely baffling to me since it was not that long between our initial conversation and the follow up. Today, I went to call customer service since I did not hear back from the agent about the confirmation of cancellation only to find out it had been cancelled and I did not receive any final confirmation or communication that she had completed the cancellation. I am so thankful to be done and no longer needed their services, but just know if you need to cancel your policy for whatever reason- you should be prepared to have to be really on top of it so you're not paying double.
