I was in town for ACL and it was really nice that I was able to swing in here on Monday and book an appointment online and have the prescription done within a couple hours. Everybody's very friendly and helpful and it's a perfect location with easy parking. Several restaurants around also. Dr. Azadi was fast and helpful.

$268.00 for a contact lens exam…read more That is not a medical bill. That is a ransom note written in optometry ink. Two hundred and sixty-five dollars to look into my skull windows and tell me what shape of plastic disc belongs on my eyeballs. I did not walk into your office expecting a luxury spa treatment for my corneas. I expected a routine contact lens exam -- the same basic exercise I have had before, including through this same business, at roughly a quarter of the price. So when the bill came back at $268, I had the distinct feeling of being mugged in broad daylight by a phoropter. If this exam was going to cost $268, that number should have been made clear before the appointment began. Not whispered through paperwork. Not hidden in a fog of billing codes. Not revealed at the end like the final twist in a bad carnival scam. It should have been stated plainly, directly, and unmistakably: "Before we begin, this contact lens exam will cost $268." Had I heard that sentence, I would have stood up, thanked everyone for their time, and walked directly out the door in search of a business operating somewhere closer to reality. This charge is outrageous. It is excessive, poorly disclosed, and completely unacceptable. No reasonable person would expect a routine contact lens exam to cost $268 unless that price was made brutally clear in advance. I am asking you to review this charge and provide a fair adjustment or refund. And I want to be very clear about what happens if this is brushed off. I will not slink away quietly and absorb this nonsense like a beaten insurance animal. I will share an accurate account of this experience everywhere people look before choosing an eye care provider -- Google, Yelp, Facebook, LinkedIn, neighborhood groups, local forums, and any other digital town square where people still value being warned before they are financially body-slammed over an eye exam. Call it social media shaming if you want. I call it consumer hygiene. I will not lie. I will not exaggerate. I will not invent a single detail. I will simply tell people the truth: I was charged $268 for a contact lens exam, the price was not made clear enough before the appointment, my prior exam through the same business was roughly a quarter of that amount, and I would never have agreed to proceed had I known the cost. This is exactly the kind of customer experience that deserves sunlight, noise, and a long paper trail. Review the charge. Correct it. Explain how a contact lens exam became a $268 ambush.

Needing a checkup a year later, I started reading reviews and Look+See had the highest ratings on Yelp and Google in the '04 area, plus I live right around the corner, so it was a no brainer. I thought Texan Eye care did a thorough job, but Look+See exceeded my expectations. Being equipped with the latest technology, they conducted several eye scans as well as eye tests and I felt comfortable with every member I engaged with. Dr. Bailey was easy to talk to and I appreciated that he talked to me in layman's terms. Thankfully, I do not need more than prescription readers so I purchased a very stylish and affordable pair from their clinic and I'm actually looking forward to wearing them.

I seriously have never had an eye exam like this before. The technician (Alejandra) who assisted was professional, kind, and caring just like Dr. Shah. The front end staff are phenomenal. Shoutout to Amy and Comet at the front desk. The office manager, Rubi is so sweet and her customer service is excellent. Speaking of excellent customer service, April is stellar! She helped me with insurance processing, picking out just the right frames, and getting me all the bells and whistles without any hardcore upselling (I despise going to places for an eye exam where they make you feel almost forced to buy frames from them). I've never felt more at home or been out more at ease. I had some concerns about my right eye and Dr. S. astounded me with her knowledge and again, care. And unless my memory is failing, his father (Dr. Mitchel Wong) treated my mother's cataracts in the 1980s. I have always been impressed by the state-of-the-art skills and equipment Austin Eye maintains. I'm also impressed that the Wongs have chosen to share their expertise by endowing an eye institute at the University of Texas at Austin. My most recent personal experience with Austin Eye was surgery for lens replacement. While some have derided the facility on Bee Caves Rd as factory-like, I would counter that with the fact that consistent good practices yield consistently good results. I felt well cared for throughout the process, and the results (my excellent recovery and visual acuity) speak for themselves. In the event there had been any problems, I was given Dr. Wong's direct cell number and email. The Austin Eye facility is beautiful, modern, and well-maintained. The same may be said of the older location along Jollyville Rd. I highly recommend Austin Eye for their expertise, state-of-the-art equipment set, and very positive and helpful office staff.

The optometrist was nice and did her job. They schedule you an appointment for next year. It's a win, win! Most of their frames are only $95, including lenses. Others go up to &175, which is still affordable. Today I went in for my yearly eye exam and to pick out a new pair of glasses. They took me right on time and gave me the eye exam, which was covered under my insurance. The optician was friendly and personable. Unfortunately, the note in my insurance said that I had already used my eyeglass allowance.and was not eligible for a new pair until December. This was a problem with my insurance, and they urged me to call for resolution. So this time I did not choose a new pair, which is always a daunting task to choose from their wide variety of attractive frames. In the past, they've had a lot of patience helping me decide. I took advantage of their fun Photo Booth, which takes 3 shots against a colorful background. Warby Parker is always a pleasant shopping experience. Their eyewear consultants are always helpful, assisting in picking out frames; I'm usually very indecisive and need their expert guidance in choosing the best look. Before I left, Nadia the salesperson offered to clean my glasses (which really needed it!), and they tightened the frames. So I felt like I had a new pair of glasses!
