Horrible at installing fences. Had a fence installed years ago. The sales people are very nice, but then once it is installed, nothing but problems. The gate, the locking mechanism, the quality of the wood and the leaning. Lots of excuses. Had another fence company come out and they showed me the shoddy work that was done for installation and the posts were too short resulting in the leaning. The fence might look good at the start but it won't last. Beware. read more

Not sure the deal with Florida fence as our experience was fishy. After the storms we needed some repairs to our fence. I called around and Florida fence returned my call to set an appointment to take a look at our fence. I knew we had 5 broken posts and the sales guy gave us a proposal to repair the broken fence sections. The price looked good so we went for it. Upon my alerting the sales guy that we wanted to go forward with the replacement of the broken posts we were informed that we would have to pay an additional $195 for the broken posts to be repaired.... that is my problem, how were you going to repair them at the price given if not replacing the broken posts?? But we pressed forward since their price Now mirrored competitors in the area but they could make the repair much sooner. The day of repair comes and nobody comes out. I contact the sales guy and he informs me he has nothing to do with the scheduling of the work and to call the office, so instead of following up on his job I'm doing the leg work. I reach the service manager who apologizes profusely and promises to send someone out immediately the next day which he did but nothing gets done because according to the repair guy the entire fence needs to be replaced. These guys are a joke at this point to me. The sales guy gives me a price to fix the fence but not by fixing the problem somehow, then upcharges me to a proper repair, then the company tries to upcharge me into a new fence. None of the other companies we had take a look at this job indicated there was anything else to do but replace a few broken posts but Florida fence tried to turn that into an entire new fence. The finished side of all walls and fences shall face the street and adjacent properties. All walls and fences shall be maintained in sound condition and good repair no matter when they were constructed." This was the first place I went for an estimate to re-fence our entire property. The person who came out seemed annoyed by the lush greenery in our backyard and had problems with his measuring tape. He got it done - it's not a huge property, just a suburban lot - said I'd have something that afternoon, told me I could only get 6' or 8' or I'd have to pay more for the 7' height he measured. That was the first and last person who said I would pay more for 7' of wood than 8'. Anyhow, I never heard from them again. Checked all the folders in my e-mail. No call, no nothing. I really wanted to give this place a good review because it started out pretty nice. They came out and gave us a quote a few weeks later we got our fence installed. After the fence was installed I received a phone call to see if I was a satisfied customer. I quickly called back and left a message stating that there were several things wrong with the fence and I needed someone to call me to setup a time to look at it. I left that same message very detailed asking for someone to call me 5 times over a three-week period. The only phone calls I got was from accounting to pay them. When someone finally did contact me they said that someone had already been out to look at the fence. I stated it would have been nice if they would have called me back and talked to me in person especially since I left 5 messages over a 3 week. Not the best place to get a fence if you're wanting your satisfaction guaranteed. Good luck getting someone to call you back. The only person I could find to help me was finally the person in accounting who was asking for my money. I would NOT recommend this Fence Company. Update: we had someone come out and check the fence. They will be fixing the problems we have read more

I learned about Florida Fence when I passed one they installed up the street from me. I needed to fence off the area behind my house that met up with the drainage creek to contain my dog but I wanted to do so without obstructing my view so I opted for 6' green vinyl so it would blend with the trees and contour to the crazy slope of my land. Everything about the process was quick and professional. They even fit me in to their schedule much sooner than anticipated. Customer service is lovely, Mike is extremely knowledgeable, but Chuck, the installer, really went above and beyond. I am just itching to run into someone somewhere who needs a fence because I just can't say enough how happy I am. Awesome job! read more

I agree with Mikki K. who wrote BEWARE. I also was told it was a small job, 52 feet and would be done within 3 to 5 weeks. On the 6th week I went to the office to find out what the delay was. Again the salesman made excuses that several men were sick. (He could not use the excuse of rain delays as we had zero rain in that time). Again, the story, I'll call you and let you know when install will be.No calls ever during that time. Finally the 7th + week a crew of three young fellows came out to install and finish the job. After they left we did a walk around the fence. We have counted 7 boards cracked! one especially is in two pieces!. What the heck?? Would not recommend these people to anyone.! read more

7 years later and I'm still waiting for Florida Fence to send an inspector over here to see how my gates can be fixed - I filed a complaint with the BBB and F.Fence managed to put a hold on that by promising to inspect and repair the mess they made. I have grown so tired of fighting with these people, my blood pressure and mental health were suffering. I implore anyone thinking of buying PVC fencing from these people - they don't know how to do PVC. Go elsewhere, even if it costs a little more - you'll save in the long run. I had my fence installed by their crew in November 2016. Hurricane Irma came in Sept. 2017 and about 40 feet of the fence and posts fell back towards the neighbor's yard. I contracted them again to install gates on both sides of my property and to fix the fencing along the back yard that had fallen back. During installation of the new gates, a different installation team than the first fence installation installed one of the gates backwards that created 20 holes in the hanging post and gate that would have been shown after they turned the gate around and installed correctly. They just wanted to plug the holes with rivets. Eventually after a few more weeks, they sent out another crew that finally fixed the gate correctly. Upon straightening up the fence that had fallen, it was determined that originally only the corner posts were cemented in the ground and that's why the fence had fallen over. The corner posts weren't affected. Eventually after much frustration, the repair was taken care of correctly. If you are using them, be home and watch them every step of the way. Hopefully they'll learn a lesson and watch who they subcontract their installation work out to in the future. Originally I had also recommended them to my neighbor who did hire them. I was to get a $50 gift card sent to me. That never came either. read more

I will use them again but I will deal directly with the owners the staff can not handle any sort of issue. So give them a call and ask to talk to either of the owners, husband and wife, it will be a time saver should any problems arise. read more

Just had these guys put up perimeter fence to keep my kids and dog on property and from getting into our canal. They also did an additional door for an outdoor shower area. Fence ok. But they left a lot of dirt that I now have to clean up! I don't think I should have to clean up when I payed a lot of money! That's why I hired a pro!? Side note they wanted me to level yard so I had to pay a handyman to try and get it where they wanted it. It was not a lopsided yard it was the front across the driveway. Also the white fence looks like it was quickly spray painted I might need to paint it again, and they tried to send old fence parts that the bottoms were cut off and scratched all over which delayed my installation! Their online estimator was great. The owner suggested I try it out for a general idea of price. It uses satellite imagery to estimate measurements, gate size, etc. I now have a pretty good idea of how much each style of fence will cost. When I'm ready to do the job, I will definitely have them come out for a detailed estimate. read more

Beware! My boyfriend Russ and I normally have a lot of patience and understand when things go wrong but I took the time to do the research and to find or thought I found the best fencing company to do our 8ft. white vinyl fence for back yard as we have 4 small dogs . We paid $3400 which is what the company wanted as a down payment and so far now fence. We are working on 7 weeks for a fence that was supposed to be installed in 3 - 5......we had the sales consultant come out the end of January and signed the contract February 10th in which they had time to order the fence ( even though the sales consultant states they make the fence) and they had sunshine 811 come out to check to make sure no power lines would be in the way around February 21st. That all checked out good........several calls to the office and the consultant who stated he would call me back once he talked to his boss and there were some water issues in the office and also a couple installers were out sick yet he didn't call me back I had to be the one to call him! Finally I asked to speak to the supervisor and he FINALLY called me back and everyone keeps saying " next week , next week, and eventually after calls and emails they have Teresa the owner call me who apologized that the materials were not available for two weeks in which I voiced my frustration and had my boyfriend then take over because I was done with the excuses and the promises, etc. Only to get a call yesterday ( 03/30) from Teresa ( the owner) who stated she would call us today and that the materials were in so they will schedule installation the first part of next week......and guess what?? yep, no call! my boyfriend tried to call her and no return call and no fence and no date for installation............I have friends who need a fence and are waiting to see how well we did with ours and NO WAY would I recommend these guys! and they wonder why we are upset! all we did was ask for they're services and we did our part.......and they have $3200 of our money........so to say we are upset is an understatement and we haven't even got the fence in yet to rate that ! I think for $7300 for a fence that we should warrant atleast better communication and when the owner of the company promises to call you back and doesn't that is pretty bad! read more

My husband and I hired this company to put up our fence. Only one man showed up to complete the work (and he did an excellent job). However, additional work needed to be done, and we ordered the additional part and paid the employee for his additional labor. The owner called and asked about this after the completion, at which point my husband explained to him what was done. The owner seemed ok with it at the time. However, we got another call from the company, so my husband called back. This time, the other owner, Theresa, mockingly called my husband an "Honest Abe" twice because she thought he hadn't paid for the additional labor when he had, and even went on to explain why she called him that.
