Just wanted to let everyone know that I solidly stand by North River. Bobby and his crew out our fence up in July and they got it done in a timely manner with no issues. He was very accommodating to a change in decision on how I wanted it completed. He was honest and when I made the change it actually became cheaper and he was upfront with that. Fast forward to now and we just had hurricane Ian blow through here. We didn't think our fence would make it through that but IT DID. Our neighbors fence was not so fortunate. If you need a fence this is your guy! I promise you it's worth it. Thank you Bobby and crew for all you did! EDIT: we needed our gate fixed because it pulled down and they have been no where to be found so they warranty it but no response when fixes need to be made. Our dogs keep getting out as a result. ZERO *!! This company has challenges big time for returning calls and following up and poor communication. The owner of the North River Fence company came out and gave me an estimate to repair my chain link fence from damage due to a hurricane in 2024 on 2/17/2025. During the site visit he was here 5 minutes went to his truck and left without speaking to me at all. Upon receiving his estimate, we agree to a contracted amount of $1106.21 on 2/28/2025. A deposit amount of $553.12 was given on 3/5/2025. On 3/26/2025 I received an email stating I would be required to remove bushes/plants etc. prior to the repairs being done. Previous estimates from fence companies already included this within their estimates OR told me what would need to be removed. I just assumed the same with the estimate from North River. During the mini home visit or written estimate, nowhere was it stated about being required to remove foliage. Since I am not able to physically do this yard work. I would have to pay someone in addition to the fence repair cost which is why full disclosure should have been made to me PRIOR to sending a deposit. If I had known this the cost of his fence repair would have higher than others I received. So, we had to cancel the 1st repair date and removed plants. We rescheduled a couple weeks later on Saturday, 4/26/2025 for the repairs. His office called 4/24/2025 and wanted to change it to Friday. I told her NO since the neighbors who share the fence behind me and myself would not be home. Never received a call back from the office to confirm, so I believed we were still on schedule for Saturday 4/26/2025. His company was a NO CALL/NO SHOW on Saturday. We sent numerous texts and calls as to where they were. As of today 4/29/2025, I still have not heard from the company. I sent an email to cancel services 4/26/2025 at 4:30pm. As of this writing I have still not heard from the company owner and the office person who I did most of the talking too. I am working with my bank to file fraud charges against the company for breach of contract for failing to provide the services paid for or provide a reason as to why they did not show up. read more

ZERO stars! I received an estimate to have a fence installed. The salesperson arrived the next day. I accepted the bid and paid a 50% deposit. All communication stopped at that point. I called inquiring about an installation date. They were no shows twice. I went to their office only to discover they had never pulled the permits. After asking for my deposit back, they finally finished the necessary forms within a day and scheduled my installation for the following week. The fence looked good. It's two months later and the main fence panel has pulled away from the post. After numerous calls and emails, to which no one responded. A "manager" finally emailed me that there is no warranty on a wooden fence but they would try to repair it. A week later, no follow up call or email. I called again and was told it was against company policy to repair a wooden fence because it wasn't under warranty. The worst customer service ever! read more

Here's the response to Bobby's second response to my post. Again, NOTHING I have stated was false in anyway. He was asked before if he had been in mediation before and his answer was "YES". The only way you have mediation is to resolve a problem, BEFORE it goes to court. Secondly I asked for my money back and he could come and take his gate and fence section back. The problem was NEVER resolved, and their second attempt at fixing the gate has left the gate in worse shape than when it was installed the first time and is now falling apart. There is no false information in this post or my previous post!! If he had listened in mediation we wouldn't be going to court and he would of given me back my money and he could of come and got his gate and fence section since he claimed his gate is so great, which it isn't and unsecure and could never be trusted from opening on its own and protecting my dogs from getting out. The whole premise of getting a gate is for security and access to the backyard, otherwise what's the point if it opens by itself at the slightest breeze and hardware is coming off?? read more

We hired North River to replace our fence. The fence was installed, and the crew left with a promise from Bobby that a missing piece would be installed in a week. We have been leaving txt msgs and phone voice messages for weeks, and Bobby won't even call us back. The gates need to be adjusted, but no one is coming. We trusted Bobby that he would come back if there was an issue, but I guess we were wrong. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Go somewhere else. I wish we had the ability to give no starts. Bobby replied to my factual post right away. Meanwhile, he does not pick our phone calls trying to explain what needs to be done. We accepted to pay for the simple 3"×71" rectangular piece, and we found a place after less than 10 min search. Bobby actually said it will cost extra $50 which we accepted. We also have problems with the gates that need to be adjusted. Business 101, customer service, call us back Bobby. Let's us feel that your company stands beyond their products. Their bid was the lowest i received of five and they provided the same warranties for materials and labor as the high-priced bids! I will definitely use them again! read more

My wife and I are young first time homebuyers just starting out on our own. We paid North River Fence $5000 to install a fence and were excited to work with them due to their alleged support for veterans. About a month later, they came to install the fence. A week later, I noticed my new irrigation system was no longer functioning. I notified NRF immediately and attempted every troubleshoot in the book with no success. Suspecting it was an issue with the fence, I had the company who installed my irrigation come out and diagnose the problem. They determined that the communication cable running alongside the house was severed during the installation of the fence. I was never notified of this by NRF. I sent this in writing to NRF who responded by saying they needed a specific location before covering anything. I obtained an additional letter with the specific location. About a month after installation, NRF responded suddenly saying they were actually not liable for the severed cable, but "because they appreciate our business" they would pay up to 50%. Keep in mind, the fix was $185 and it was taking them a week or two at a time after reminders to respond. I once again stated it was only $185 and the damage was clearly caused by their company, to which they restated once again they would only pay 50%. I have been attempting to reach them for a month to at least receive the $92.50 to which I am being blatantly ignored now. So I paid an additional $185 out of pocket after $5000 to have my irrigation system repaired from damage they caused which has been 3 months of headaches. Long story short, DO NOT use this company. They couldn't care less about you or veterans. You're just another number. This was a hellacious process and the lack of customer service was despicable. I highly advise you look elsewhere for a fence. Update: just found out they also built the fence over one of my neighbors sprinkler heads, so now I'm also footing the bill to have that corrected. Contacted the Business for home repair of fixing cracks in stucco and then paint exterior wall. Received timely estimate and agreed to do job. After that they were a NO SHOW and did not return phone calls, texts, or emails. Waited almost a month for the business to do job or admit they couldn't. Never Heard From Them! Due to post hurricane demand there was some scheduling issues. However, we were super impressed with the quality of work completed.
