Everything they do and say from the moment you meet them will be a lie. After installing my system my electric bill went UP. There is no such thing as prioritizing electricity when there's no way for the inverter to direct travel. I had to have my roof replaced. So the solar panels had to be removed and reinstalled. Upon reinstall 5/23 panels were producing around 40-50% less than the others. Freedom refused to return to even look at them. I withheld paying the full reinstall fee until they come out. They won't come out to even look ant them and now I believe they have disconnected my solar panels so I have zero production. I wish zero stars were an option. Another time my inverter died in June. It took them a whole month to get the repair made. When they made the repair they did something that blew a capacitor in my AC unit. So I had to foot the bill for their screw up. read more

Fourteen months ago a door to door salesman from Freedom Forever used high pressure sales tactics and got me to sign up for solar installation. The incentive offered was a "free" security camera installation. After applying for a loan through their preferred lender Mosaic and getting approved for $17000, I never heard back from the company or their rep. After waiting for several weeks I emailed the company to cancel the project. ________ replied back that it would be canceled. I received a call from Mosaic only now saying I have a payment for the $17000 loan which was taken 14 months ago! They told me that the funds were paid out to Freedom Forever, and I owed that money back to Mosaic. After some back and forth with Mosaic, they said I have to pay the full amount for the security camera to resolve the loan issue. Now I am out of over $1000 for a so called "free" security camera which they insisted on installing even though I already had one. Their sales tactics are predatory and fraudulent. I am yet to find out how a canceled loan gets processed over a year later and without my knowledge or authorization. Stay away from this company. read more

Beware....the salesman refused to respond the emails, text or phone calls when we discovered he was not truthful with what he told us he would do. The salesperson who we dealt with didn't tell the truth and the company quickly tell you the sales person is third party service and not their employees. I was told by a customer agent, "it's your word against the sales person", if you don't have evidence like video, text or emails as to what they promise....the anguish and disappointment and financial obligation is not worth it, beware...get everything in writing, video or record your interactions with everyone. read more

Worst customer support ever. We have a malfunctioning panel that has been reported. It has been 3 months now, one service tech visit, changed out optimizer, claimed it fixed and left. It is still malfunctioning. Requested escalation, crickets. At this point I am considering filing a complaint with BBB and Texas AG. So frustrating. read more

Can I give negative stars???? I was taken by this company back in 2020. I purchased a large 42 panel system for my home in an upscale neighborhood in Texas. It was supposed to be a low profile system with skirts, but when it was installed it was a standard rail system with no skirts. When they painted the conduit that ran down the entire length of my brick home, they didn't bother to put any cardboard behind it and ended up painting a four inch dark brown stripe down the length of my red brick home. The system has never performed as promised and with the solar panel payments and energy costs we have always paid more than what we would have without the panels. The system has been of no help when the power shuts off, because they never told us that if the grid goes down, the panels automatically shut off and do not produce any power to the home. They originally agreed to add an additional 5 panels and switch out the inverter to accommodate for the lack of production, but that was nearly 4 years ago and nothing has been done. Even when they promised me, a little over a month ago, that they were going to get someone out to replace the 10 to 15 panels on my roof that have since gone bad and add the additional 5 as well as the inverter and address the reason why the breaker that they installed for the solar panels keeps tripping when the temperature gets over 90 degrees. They also never adequately addressed the paint on the side of my house either. I have hired attorneys to try to get them to do what they should be doing to remedy the situation. But, after spending a couple grand on that, there wasn't much I could do because of the arbitration agreement that they have you sign. It would have cost nearly $10,000.00 more to pursue them in arbitration. I have been fighting with this company for 5 years to try to get them to do the right thing. Recently, their financial institution, Mosaic, that handles the loans for the solar panel systems, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. They get to "reorganize" but I'm still stuck paying for the crap that they put on my home for years to come. If you come across this company as you are looking for Solar panels for your home, RUN! (This is my stance and opinion on my experience with Freedom Forever and it will remain so unless and until they make it right and apologize for the years of frustration and expense that they have caused.) read more

This company is an absolute Joke !!! These salesman are an absolute joke lie just to get a sale and then they will tell you anything and show you how everything will work in the end and word it differently in the contract after changing from one panel to another because "oh we don't have them in stock, but we have this one same rating " Getting a hold of customer is a joke because they know their salesman lie and was even told that several times. Customer support sits on their hands and has to be threatened with lawsuits before they get off their hands and try to help you . My bills after going Solar is 195.00 a month after spending over 30k for my complete system . I hate my freedom forever solar panel system and wouldn't recommend anyone to use this shady company for any of their solar needs !! read more

I spoke with a freedom forever salesman over a year ago. I was told that I could back out of the transaction at any time with no negative reprocussions. My project was never started when I decided not to move forward. I then discovered on my own with zero notification that Mosaic sent Freedom Forever over $23,000 in my name. I started the cancelation process in Feb of 2024 and as of 10/2024 Freedom Forever will not return the funds that are in my name for a project that was cancelled over a year ago. I would not work with such a shady company and feel like one of the lucky ones. read more

i have an intellectual disability, no one explained to me how any of this works. i was given panels and plans that didn't suit my needs and energy consumption and stuck with bills that were/higher than what i had before. none of what i am currently going through was explained to me and none of it actually fits my needs. no one explained what any of this means when going through the process. whoever designed my plans and installed my panels did so under the guise that my current energy consumption would covered under the solar panel plan i was given. this was never told to me or explained. no one cares that i was given a plan that was never explained to me with verbiage that was never explained to me. no one cares that i was given a plan that the only way it makes any sense to have is to reduce monthly consumption drastically. if not i actually will pay nearly double what my utility bill is. no sales rep explained this, no one at the company can explain this in a manner that actually makes sense for me as a customer to have. this company is the biggest scam in the metroplex and unfortunately i will have to pay for it , for the next 30 years read more

He made several promises that were not true, he never showed up to any of the services. We only met when he came to give me a quote and the communication was terrible. I've been holding off writing this. But Freedom Forever is a horrible company to deal with, particularly when competition for solar is so high right FLEE! Do NOT use them! We signed up back in September 2022 for a $75,000 system. We were promised a $4k rebate in writing if we signed up that day, and it's now May of 2023 and they're still haggling over it. Additionally, we were guaranteed a "consumption monitor" as part of our system to monitor panel production, etc. Nothing. Now they want an extra $500 to install the monitor. There is NO customer service, other than calling an 800 number in California that places you on hold for an hour to reach anyone. Even our sales rep can't get anything done, despite his diligence. FF is VERY quick to send a crew out to measure your roof for panels and install them. But good luck if you have customer service issues. A few months ago, we were assigned an "enhanced customer service representative" who is completely non-responsive and are considering legal action against the company, which is extremely unusual for us. I've never sued anyone in my life, but this has been such a scam. Find another solar company. They're a dime a dozen these days. You have been warned. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Our issues began with the salesman. He seemed genuine, but his sales pitch was full of lies! He promised a Tesla back up system, NEVER! Although I see the same promise in FaceBook ads. He promised our first year of loan payments reimbursed. Apparently this is also a lie. A year later we have not only paid the loan but a larger than normal electric bill as well! I have called & emailed FreedomForever MANY times. They keep telling me that most of my complaints are not their fault but that the sales person misrepresented them. They are reviewing my bills to see if reimbursement is needed. I would hope reimbursement for my electric bill not only for the first year but continually until they FINALLY install an inverter so my system can be started nearly 1.5 years after installation of the panels! I was also promised that the panels would supply a surplus of energy for my needs. In order to be reimbursed for solar energy, you must have an energy provider that charges more than normal for electric. Since my system hasn't worked yet, we have paid larger electric bills than before solar! I'm uncertain if it's FreedomForever or solar in general, BUT this is not working!!! read more

This has been one of the WORST experiences ever! It took them almost 2 months to finish the installation and the company lied multiple times blaming the city for taking weeks to inspect and weeks but my city does inspections with a 48 hr or less turnaround...I know the inspectors and that's for all inspections. Now, 6 months later, my system hasn't worked for 7+ weeks and they can't tell me when they will repair it as they are "waiting on a part." I can never reach anyone in this company. It goes right to voice mail. Katherine is the person that I get forwarded too. Never is called back. I had $44,000 worth of panels installed. It has been the worst investment on my part. My electric bill has doubled since freedom for ever installed my panels. The sales person , his manager and the whole installed team was fired after my install. I had to call for six months to get my panels turned on. I had some solor Panels from solor city now tesla. Freedom. Turned off the tesla panel off. It took six months to get their panels turned back on. Now I have 87 220 watt panels on my home. Freedom panels are still not hooked up they way I was told. No one person from Freedom will help me or respond. I call and leave voice mails. Think wisely about investing here. A total waste of money and time. They were great when they were installing my system. When I have problems. Freedom will not respond to my emails or phone calls. The worst. $44,000 I have invested. Freedom told me that with my 55 panels from Tesla and the freedom panels. I will have a surplus electric bill and they will buy back my electric surplus. That has never happened. My electric bill is going higher each month. So the sales person and the Freedom team lied to me. I have so many panels on my roof in Euless Texas. 76039. I invested $44,000 and no one will help me to come out and check my systems. Four times they said they would send someone out at a cost to me. Still no one has come out. read more

The sales rep came out last summer 2022 and gave his presentation. It all sounded great so we signed up. He offered a Vivint home security system and we declined as we already have a security system. He told us we should just take it since it was free and then we would have a backup if we ever needed it. So we followed his advice. Vivint came out and gave us our system which we left in the box and stored away. Then someone came and inspected our roof. The sales rep sent us their proposed design. They wanted to put panels on the north facing roof (front of our house). I asked of we could put them all on the south facing roof as they wouldn't He visible from the front of the house and the south facing gets all of the sunlight. Several weeks went by and I heard nothing. I called and texted our rep with no response. I waited on hold at their main office number and left messages and never received a return call. After sharing this in a google review someone called me. They sent me a new design with all panels on the south facing roof. In this design there were 3 less panels but the same price. I reached out again to understand why the price would the same but with less panels and received no response again for several weeks. At this point I decided to cancel this project altogether. I called and the cancellation was very easy. After canceling and receiving a confirmation number, two months later I received an account statement from Mosaic (the lender they use). I called Mosaic and they said they had not been notified of the cancellation and that Freedom Forever would have to let them know and return the funds that had already been distributed to them. I called Freedom again and they told me that they would notify the sales rep and he would notify Mosaic (the lender). Two weeks pass and Mosaic reaches back out to me to let me know that they still haven't received anything from Freedom letting them know the project was canceled. I called Freedom again and this time they told me that they notified their Renewal Finance team and they would let Mosiac know about the cancelation within 48 hours. I called back 48 hours later to make sure this had been done. This time I was told it would take up to 2 months for Mosaic to be notified. So long story short Mosaic released funds to Freedom Forever and they have been sitting on it. Finally they let Mosaic know and that loan was cancelled. Then in April of this year (2023) Freedom calls me saying I owe them for the Vivint system. I tell them I still have it unused in the box and am happy to return it. They tell me they can't accept that and send me a bill for $3000. This company is a scam. If they were so great they wouldn't be knocking door to door begging you to meet with them. Let that be your warning sign and steer clear! read more
