The door knob from our house to the garage would turn but not open. After removing the knob, the mechanism inside was jammed and not able to be removed. We called early in the morning and Nissim came to our place to install our new door hardware. He went above and beyond to make sure that the door knob and the deadbolt are properly installed and working. Our existing door is not compatible to the new hardwares available at the stores. One of the hardware piece requires him to make some modifications to fit and he did it for us. Oh and he has to wait for my husband to bring the other hardwares from the store because the one that we first bought is not compatible at all. I managed to lock myself out of my apartment and called Freedom. He was here within 10 minutes and was able to get my door unlocked in about 5 minutes. My key was still usable afterward. The lock has some scratches on the exterior, but looks minimal. I was afraid it would look as if the lock was jammed and distorted afer he finished, but not so much. Nick answered the phone when I called for an estimate of lock repair vs. replacement and offered to come right over since he was in the area. He asked if it was a simple deadbolt and advised that it would be $120 to fix a simple deadbolt. He arrived within 15 minutes and immediately advised that it wasn't a simple deadbolt, it was a mortise lock which is much fancier and more complicated. Once I showed him the alignment issue, he said he could fix it no problem for the $120 plus $45 service call fee. He then proceeded to fix the alignment problem in less than 15 minutes. He accepts credit card payment and offered a 2 week guarantee if we encounter any other alignment issues with the lock. I really appreciate the efficient service and was so glad to get this taken care of right away for a reasonable fee. I definitely recommend. read more
