Absolutely unacceptable. I have never been treated with such disrespect by a business in my life. This entire interaction lasted less than two minutes, and I left completely shocked by the way I was spoken to. I walked in, smiled, and said, "Hi, how are you?" I was ignored. Thinking maybe she didn't hear me, I asked again. Instead of even the most basic courtesy, I was met with hostility. The older woman working there looked at me like I was an idiot and spoke to me with complete contempt. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place of business. To make matters worse, the store smelled like an ashtray. Between the overpowering smell of cigarette smoke and the unbelievably rude customer service, it was one of the most unpleasant customer experiences I've ever had. There is absolutely no excuse for treating another human being the way I was treated. Everyone has bad days, but that does not give anyone the right to belittle or disrespect customers. If this is the owner, I sincerely hope she reflects on how she treats people because it is unacceptable. If she is an employee, management should seriously consider whether this is the kind of person they want representing their business. I will never return, and I strongly encourage others to spend their money somewhere they will be treated with basic dignity and respect. read more

Getting business/legal/tax transactions done efficiently in a rural area can sometimes be a challenge, and even more so since the pandemic, as establishments are often running with a skeleton crew staff and limited hours of operation. We were pleased to find Freedom Mail Center available and ready to help us in Sattler when we needed to get a stack of documents related to a sale and transfer of title to be witnessed, notarized, and copied. This particular transaction involved 3 parties and about 10 different documents. The friendly single person working the store was able to offer us plenty of counter space to perform all the signatures and document reviews. He then quickly performed his stamps and signatures, made copies of all the documents for us, and checked us out for a very reasonable price, less than $20 in all. We were finished and on our way in less than 20 minutes. If there was any downside at all, it was that the notary running the store appeared to be smoking or vaping in there; we could smell it, but we didn't see it happen. I'm very sensitive to tobacco smoke and have a strong bias against that behavior after losing several family members (including both parents) to cancer. I won't hold it against Freedom Mail Center, but I mention it here as a fair warning to anyone with similar sensitivities, you may wish to hurry in and out. They are VERY friendly, everyone knows everyone's name, it's a great small town feel. We all care about our community. They provide all postal services as needed. Stolen Pistol To all you guys who use Freedom Mail Center in Sattler, we would like share our experience. We dropped off a pistol to mail back to Ruger. Two weeks later we called Ruger to check status and were told they had not received it. We checked tracking and there was no record what so ever! The only explanation possible, is that the store owners or employees stole it. As further proof of this, we went to Freedom the 13th of November and Jason said he remembered me dropping off package, as he had to bubble wrap it and box it. When I went to follow up on the 15th after filing a police report, Jason then denies acknowledging that he remembered me dropping off the package. That to me, in my eyes confirms that he is the one who stole it. If anyone is mailing anything of importance, I would suggest avoiding this establishment! read more
