I don't understand the series of negative reviews about the owner from a few months ago. My experiences have been positive and haven't once felt like he wasn't willing to help educate. I'm sure it is a tough gig having customers with varying levels of knowledge and experience. The driving schools are perfect for introducing someone not only to race track etiquette, but general car control on public roads. They have a class for every level of driver. Beginners are always welcome. The 2 day format allows plenty of time to absorb and practice. A bonus is that once you experience the controlled environment on a race track, your urge to speed on public roads all but vanishes. Perfect for those who have a lead foot! The time trials and race events are fiercely competitive on-track, but totally laid back in the pits. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, which is welcome after running with some other clubs. And rates are far lower than any other organizations of this caliber.

The end of the weekend graduation exercise with all the instructors was a true eye opening experience, I never would have never thought that I would be able to handle wheel to wheel.

The wheels on the car go zoom zoom zoom zoom zoom zoom…read morezoom zoom zoom The wheels on the car go zoom zoom zoom All through the streets This is not a review of the track, since the Beast of mine wont let me drive his car (or his mistress as I call her), then again its stick, and I dont drive stick, unless the time you count when I either drove it 1/2 mile or the police will tow it) :P Sooooooo....this is what to expect when you are expecting your husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, BFF, or who ever it is to track their car. I have been here a couple of times for private track events on the smaller track, here at the streets of Willow. Before I even start, as you exit the freeway grab your food there, and grab it for lunch and dinner too. Unless your a smartie pants like me and pack a cooler full of water, bananas, snacks and ect. See the further way from the freeway you get, the further away from food you get. And you dont want to be hungry, do you? Once in a purple moon do they have a snack truck open. Once you get there, expect to pay to get in. Whether your racing or spectating, there is a $10 entry fee, Unless your on the VIP list. Luckily, I am usually on it. Dogs are free, and must be leashed at all times. Now, expect to be there all morning/day and into the late afternoon. I usually get here around 6:00am and we stay till the end. This is where you may get very upset, so you may just want to close your eyes now. There is NO WIFI/Connection up here. Especially if your with Sprint. So don't expect to be able to yelp or check in because chances are, it wont happen. There will be no FBing or instagraming, unless you have killer service. Bring some magazines, a book, read the paper or in my case my Kindle. There are plenty of portapotties, which I dont know if they are clean or not, since I never attempted to go. I hold it. Sometimes the main building is open and if the water is turned on you can use that bathroom. But always prepare for the worse. It gets cold there, then it gets hot here. So dress in layers, lots of layers. Bring blankets if you need too. You will get dirty, so no sandals or cutesy shoes. Its okay to wear boots, thats what I do. For shade bring a pop up tent, but it does get super windy and the LAST thing you want is to have a fly away tent and have your tent hit someones car. Power, there is really no power here. We bring a generator, then I find all these random devices plugged into our power strip. Bring your own power peeps. We also bring our own sound system and play DJ/Announcer for our events because that's what we do. So if you have to bring only 3 things with you, bring warmth, food and something pleasurable and you will be fine. If you do plan on racing or riding with an instructor you need a HELMET. Fun place to spend the day and watch some guys and gals have fun on the track/

Not only is Willow Springs one of the most filmed racetracks used for television commercials and…read morefeature films but it's darn fun to drive. Tucked against the hills of Lancaster, California, about an hour north of Los Angeles, it's an interesting track that offers elevation changes and high average speeds making it truly fast. I've used this track for teaching, racing, testing and for just having fun. It's been titled "The fastest track in the west" and apparently is a California Point of Historical Interest. "Big Willow", as the main track is nicknamed, allows you to reach speeds of 145mph and upward. I did mention that's in a corner, right? And no, diapers or barf bags are not supplied. :) There are several other tracks on the same property, even a go-kart track. This gives you many different figurations to choose from and should suit your needs no matter what type of vehicle you're driving. So bring your Porsche, Lambo, Mazda, Toyota, Subaru, Yugo or Gremlin, they will have a track set-up for you. Oh, and for all you umbrella girls, sadly there's no grass or pretty grounds to be photographed with, it is a desert. However, CGI can add them easily. :) This is by far the best track in close proximity to Los Angeles.

Then a few laps in a bright colored supercar may be therapy you need! I purchased a Groupon for the final cost of $50, good for the Supercar Autocross Challenge. The cost for this is listed as "starting at $249" on their website. Going the Groupon route I was able to cut the price in half off the $99 that was advertised on Groupon through a promotional discount, Groupon Bucks promotion, and finally Ebates/Rakuten cash back. Pro tip: always use Rakuten for cashback whenever buying a Groupon! LTF staff was helpful and friendly throughout the entire process of setting up the reservation to the time of when I actually got behind the wheel. There were 3 tracks and 4 cars available that sunny Saturday in November at the Santa Anita Racetrack parking lot. The cars offered were a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Coupe, and Aventador, and a Chevy Corvette. All also had automatic transmissions. Each of the cars were designated only for one of the 3 tracks. This is one of the drawbacks - if you prefer a particular car, you have to go with the track that car is assigned to, and vice versa. Each of the tracks differ slightly in the length of their straightaways and tightness of turns, while overall length is more or less the same. I took the Gallardo Coupe around for 6 quick laps (a staff member sits next to you in the passenger seat) after one warm-up slower lap needed to get familiar with the course. This was some of the most fun I've had since I first got my driver's license! The aural and visual presence of these cars cannot be denied. There was an option to purchase more laps and also to upgrade to a "better" car for extra cost at the session. In this case the upgrade would have been from the Gallardo to the Aventador. All of the cars make for a perfect photo op, just as long as you don't take interior pictures. Their interiors showed obvious signs of wear and tear over many driving sessions. Make sure to bring some water, wear comfortable shoes and clothes, and to drive it like you stole it! That's what the staff would want anyway. Trust me! I asked one of them and he said none of the driving he's witnessed as a passenger has remotely even made him nervous or scared.

The more I look into it, the more convinced that I was able to afford the tickets! I found $90 on Groupon where one can drive six laps in an autocross challenge for 6 laps in a Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo, or FerrariF430. I bought my tickets for me and my dad 2 months prior and I was able to get an appointment for 30 mins at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia. Upon we arrived at the Park, they have a small tent outside with approximately 7 or 8 employees and driving instructors. On the day, we arrived at the Santa Anita Park about 45 mins earlier. Once we signed in, we were offered 4 different cars: a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo, a red Ferrari FF, a blue Ferrari F430, and a black Audi R8. Out of the 4 cars, we were told that only the R8 and the 430 was included in the voucher and if we wanted to drive the Gallardo or the FF then we would have to add an upgrade fee of $25. My dad decided to drive the R8 and I decided to go with the 430. They also told us that they can record you driving the car for $25 each person. (They put your driving recording on a USB drive and give it to you) My dad and I agreed and they said 2 people they will charge $40. We agreed on the deal. We wait was short for our rides and we were able to take pictures with all 4 cars if you wish. I took advantage of it and was able to get some pretty decent pictures. The workers there were also nice enough to take pictures for me and the cars at various angles. Now here's the tricky part. one of the workers approached me and ask me if I wanted to drive the FF instead. I declined to say that I would like to save money and drive the F430, which is still an amazing car. Now, one of the workers along with the instructor told me that as long as I give my instructor some tips then I can drive the FF. I agreed and hopped in the car for 6 laps. Once I returned to the tent, I was very satfised. However, when I asked them if I could get the USB recording. They then told me that they don't have a camera in the FF. That was the time when I felt like I was not told the entire things. Since I paid $20 for the video and it was $25 to upgrade. They basically use the video money that I paid as an upgrade fee. I was not too happy about that. Since we are on the negatives of LTF, I would also like to say LTF is not as responsible as I would like. I called the number found on their website and yelp multiple time the day before my appointment day to ask questions. EVERY single time I called, I went straight to voice mail. It was so frustrating!! The voicemail said that one of the representatives will return the call within 24 hours but I never got a callback. I understand that LTF adventure is not a huge corporation and they have limited employees. However, they need to step up with their customer service! I was a victim of an event scammer. Therefore, I get extremely cautious when a company has limited ways to contact them. There were no email reminder or such as well. To summarize, I had a positive experience with LTF overall. Mainly was due to their price. They were able to let me drive my dream car with a price that a college student can afford. The negative about LTF is their lack of customer experience on the phone. I did not talk about the driving experince becusae it was amazing and no commented needed. Whichever car you end up choosing, I am sure you will enogh your time with the exoitc car of your choice. Upon entering this place, it was pretty dark, which helps with cooling down from the heat outside. The facility is clean and AC was on. I believe we bought the single session $59 for all of us. Honestly, I don't know how anyone can keep doing this. 6 out of 8 immediately had a headache and want to puke. I guess it's not for everyone! Despite the headache and having to stop early, staffs were friendly and even gave us water and checked in on us. If you're into this type of thing, check it out! Plenty of parking spaces.
