The picture showed the skylight frame separated and he fixed/repaired. Using his underlayment paper and my roofing shingles left over from a reroofing job performed 8 years ago, he tore out the old paper and reshingled. TG also installed a bathroom exhaust the same day. Very happy with the immediate service and extra work TG performed. We've several downpours since then and no problems. Very fair prices without gouging because of my circumstances.

They let me know this price change one week before breaking ground. I would not let them change a lightbulb for me. American Custom never gave me my money back. I brought them to the Better Business Bureau where they lied multiple times and I had proof of their lies. I spoke with the architect that American custom used and he stated he said he did not even get $500 from American Custom. They cut a hole in my dry wall about 3' x 2' and made a disaster with dust never cleaned up their mess and never even offered to fix the hole at the end. American Custom was here for a total of 10min when they cut through the drywall (which I have on my ring camera) when they cut hole. They were in and out. So I guess it's $4000 to cut a hole in drywall? If you have a project, don't do it with this company. American Custom is not trustworthy and definitely not honest.

The appointment was set for 1:30. When there was no sign of Kevin by 2:00 and we hadn't received a call to say he was running late, I called the office again. I don't know if I spoke to the same person, but as it turned out when our appointment was entered into their system, the person doing so somehow neglected to push the button that would actually assign this appointment to Kevin. She called it an "honest mistake." It was a pretty big mistake and had I not called the office, we wouldn't have even known there was a problem. We decided to call another company for an estimate.

Update 02/17/26: Unresolved (This review was originally…read moreposted on Google and I'm adding it here for transparency.) 12/12/24: Still unresolved 06/16/24: Summit Exteriors did respond publicly to my original google review, but the main issue is still unresolved. I have not received any direct outreach by phone or email, even though they have all of my contact information. I also sent a written request in an effort to resolve this outside of court, and I did not receive a response. The outstanding issue is a refund for two skylights that were canceled prior to installation. As of today, that refund has not been issued. To be fair, the roofing installation itself appears solid. The crew worked hard and the roof is still intact. That said, there were several issues with communication, scheduling, and follow-through. Original scope of work included: GAF Lifetime Roof System -Replacement of existing skylight with a Velux Fixed Skylight -Installation of two additional skylights (with framing and drywall work) -Complete gutter replacement (Hidden Hanger Seamless Gutter System) -Hardwood decking replacement Work that was completed: -GAF Lifetime Roof System -Replacement of existing skylight with a Velux Fixed Skylight -Complete gutter replacement -Decking was replaced, but not with hardwood The two additional skylights were canceled before installation due to scheduling delays and weather concerns. At the time, my priority was replacing my aging roof (it was over 20 years old, with missing shingles and risk of water damage). I started requesting a refund for those skylights before the job even began in August 2023. The refund is still outstanding. During the project: The start date was delayed due to transportation issues, which pushed work into rainy weather. I experienced ceiling staining inside that required repair. Interior touch-ups were handled by company staff rather than a professional painting contractor. Landscaping was damaged during the job. A complimentary house pressure wash that was promised was never completed. Insurance assistance resulted in partial coverage (around 15%). Communication became noticeably more difficult after financing was finalized several months before installation. It was often hard to get updates or clear answers. While the roof itself seems to be holding up, the unresolved refund and the ongoing communication issues have left me disappointed with the overall experience.

Not knowing who to call , I called Dan, the owner explaining the problem. He came the next day & explained what he would do to secure each one completely. When I asked him for an estimate, Dan replied, " Consider it part of our roofing job!" I wasn't even aware the work was completed until I was once again sitting on my porch now that nicer weather has returned to Rochester. WARNING! Do not use this company for home insulation!…read more Climate Giant was hired to complete insulation on my home in June 2023. Instead of properly removing my siding, his workers negligently ripped it out of the center, cut off the tabs and left my aluminum siding with hundreds of nail holes, dents, scratches, cracks, and gaps. These damages have allowed water and insects to get underneath my siding, causing further damage. The workman also backed into my garage with their truck, cut 2 of my window sills, damaged my shutters and gutters. Climate Giant has left me with more than $23,000 in damages to the exterior of my home. While having windows replaced yesterday, the siding around was removed. What we found was that Climate Giant drilled holes around my entire addition that was already insulated and blew in cantaloupe sized amounts to make it look like they insulated it themselves. Clearly the jig is up and I'm completely dissatisfied with the poor quality of work this company provides. For a year now, I have been chasing the company owner Jason Dreyer. In my experiences with him, he has only operated in bad faith and has not resolved any of the issues caused by his workmen. A few examples of Jason's bad faith actions include, sending a strange man to my house to lie about who he is representing to gain access to my property and information. He had his lawyer send me an intimidating letter claiming that I denied him access to the property to assess damages, as well as denied him the ability to make repairs. This is funny, because two weeks earlier, he was walked around the entirety of my home to assess damages with a member of the CleaResult team. I had not had any contact with Climate Giant since they poorly completed the job on my home and were paid in full by the NYSERDA program. The program had to drag him back out to my house to attempt to work towards a resolution. Jason had his "siding expert" come to look at the damages. Jason had his siding guy write that the damages were due to contraction and expansion from hot and cold temperatures, instead of damages that were clearly created by force and their poor workmanship. When his siding guy provided me with an estimate, it was lacking a price as well as amounts of materials. He had suggested I take his $5,000 settlement offer and go on a nice vacation or what have you, instead of detrimental repairs to my home. As of recent he called me a con artist and scammy for wanting him to make my home whole again. This is defamation and an attack on my character, after I've given him nothing but kindness and grace. This company does not take accountability for their poor workmanship. They would rather let a disabled persons home deteriorate than resolve the issues.
