The Release and Restore class was recommended to me by my therapist and I'm glad that I went! I just finished up a 3 month membership and I was able to go to a variety of classes that are offered. My favorite classes are Release & Restore, Gentle Yoga, Vin + Yin, and Gentle Flow. As soon as you walk into the studio you feel a sense of calm and ease that continues as the instructors help facilitate mindfulness throughout your practice. Every instructor has been caring, welcoming, and accommodating. You should definitely start your yoga practice at Freedom Yoga! read more

Freedom Yoga is the absolute best. I went to Aerial Yoga once with a friend and instantly fell in love with it. I have generalized anxiety disorder, so I have a hard time staying "present" in a lot of yoga classes. The trauma sensitive aspect of the location is super helpful and rejuvenating. It gave me the same feeling as waking after a good night's sleep. There was a moment at the end, when we were swinging in the hammocks in savasana, looking up at the lights. I was so relaxed and happy, I still think about it from time to time. The teachers were super friendly, willing to help, and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back. read more

Freedom Yoga began in a small garage on Beechwood Drive in January of 2018. We moved into our larger, permanent studio home just across the parking lot in July of 2018. **We are located across from Judson Middle School.

Most of these gyms are the same footprint. Same machines. Same quality. Friendly folks. This gym is infact that. I have the program through your insurance that gives you access to 15k+ gyms for 25 bucks a month. It is very much worth it if you travel or just want gym variety in your own town. What I really like about this gym is the footprint. Everything has plenty of space around it. Most if not all the machines were maintained. Didn't smell, and everything you want for in a nice gym. If I'm back in town, y'all will see me again.

I am disappointed in the Planet Fitness franchise and this location in particular…read more They allow "their" personal trainer to hold machines for a scheduled class from 12:00 (noon) to 12:30 p.m. When I was there on this day between 11:00 and 11:15 a.m. said trainer had the "reserved" sign up and there was no class nor participants. I ignored the sign but then decided to ask the staff for clarification. I know how to substitute exercises for the machines I supposedly can't use, but this is a VERY POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. I have been a Planet Fitness member for a few years and have always been an advocate of the franchise. I will no longer be a proud member of the franchise and will never give a positive "word of mouth" for it.

Update: Does their AC not work?…read more I went back at 9pm tonight and it felt like 90 degrees in the gym. They either need to update their ACs, or if it wasn't working I wish they had a sign up or something - I could barely make it 10 minutes before having to leave. Ya just can't have an indoor gym in Texas without AC :(

So, after Thanksgiving, I was already in East TX and decided to drive to the park to check it out. Checkin was easy at the ranger headquarters. I went inside to purchase a magnet. Their stickers selection was limited and the designs were unappealing. My first impression with the creek lake that it was very beautiful and reminded me of Lake Catherine State Park in Arkansas. The beach portion doesn't allow dogs, so I just viewed it from the park. There's a total of three trails. I found one, but not the other. I searched high and low to find it, but was unsuccessful. I ended up going on the Island Trail. The view of the power plant was nice. The plant was loud. The Island trail was a smooth hike. The path is covered in pine needles and if you look closely, you can find armadillos, rabbits, and field mice. Now the camping portion was very crowded and the sites were close to each other. I didn't see any private sites. It reminded me of Blanco State Park; where you're just close enough to your neighbors where you can see and hear them. How fun! This park isn't worth coming back to explore. I didn't like it much.
