I can not say enough about how incredible the Workflo team and experience is! My colleague and I brought our high school class wanting to give them a team-building experience they would enjoy and Workflo completely exceeded our expectations! Firstly, just arriving to the incredible VIP space and getting to see all of the platinum and gold records up on the wall that have been recorded there (Beyonce...Lemonade!) was super exciting! They graciously let us walk about and tour the entire space, getting a feel for the vibe of a professional recording studio. Our students quickly took up a game of pool, chilled with the snacks and drinks provided in the lounge, and enjoyed looking at the equipment and speaking with the team of professionals Workflo had lined up to work with them. It was so awesome to just have this casual time on arrival...you could actually feel the creative energy building just from being in the space. Soon after, Brian and Louis (the Workflo team leaders) with some assistance from Deijan (recording booth) freestyled an AMAZING rap for our students about themselves and our school. It really amped up the creative energy and got everyone so excited to begin! Phil (sound engineer) popped things off by sharing three different beats the Workflo team had made for us and they had the students vote on the one they wanted to use. It was super fun to hear them blast the beats through the speakers (they told us they're some of the loudest speakers in NY) and to see how picking the beat lays the foundation for the track. The lovely Danica of the Workflo team was also there to support! I just want to take a moment to say that we could not have asked for a more INCREDIBLE team of folks to guide us through this process! I've been teaching for 22 years and I can tell you that the Workflo crew is a group of amazing educators. As we began the creative writing process and all the way through the journey of recording Louis and Brian (and the entire team) knew exactly how to inspire, support, and guide our students. They never pushed, they knew exactly how to work with the group with a blend of kindness, humor, creativity, and support. They are very intuitive and definitely make an extra effort to make everyone feel included and special. The team really touched my heart and I honestly think they are a bunch of incredibly special humans with the biggest hearts, and incredibly fun and talented to boot!! Now some of you may know that teenagers can be kind of hard to impress and engage sometimes, but every student seemed to step up and contribute in an amazing way. The Workflo team really brought our class together and that was exactly what we were hoping for. They even let us run an hour over schedule to make sure all of the students got to record their pieces...the Workflo team was absolutely amazing! It was so awesome to be able to create something together collaboratively and to experience the process of recording a song from start to finish. We all left feeling incredibly inspired and on a creative high! We have since played our track at school and I'm pretty sure the kids have been listening to it on repeat because they all know each other's lyrics. I feel SO blessed that we found Workflo, and we were able to have a truly unforgettable experience as a class. I am so grateful to the Workflo team, and I can not wait to go back, maybe with family or for my child's birthday....I'm not sure yet but I definitely want to share the experience again with all the people I care about because it was THAT powerful! Like many of the other reviews -- This is a MUST do for team building and development! With a good group, it's an amazing experience and a TON of fun! Brian and the crew were super chill, friendly, and really took care of us from beginning to end! They were very hands on, helping every individual in our group of 9 put our bars together and practice to ensure we felt confident and good about our verses. And as a result, we got to flex our creativity in a different way, have a fire track that we're proud of, and connected in a meaningful way. Flo Social is THE most amazing, truly unforgettable experience! We went for a corporate leadership event and it shattered everyone's expectations. The entire concept is so unique but the reason it is so successful is 100% because of the amazing and super talented team! I can't believe they were able to so easily guide us through creating a shockingly amazing song out of nowhere in a couple of hours (shout out to Phil "the Magician")! Most importantly: SO. MUCH. Pero likeeeeeeee... Workflo has officially wrecked any other team building activity from potentially ever being fun. First of all, I have absolutely no natural musical ability. As dorky as they come. On a scale from 1 to cool, I am a Steve Urkel. And I say this to illustrate that the Workflo team can make a rapper out of anyone, including me. This is seriously the most fun I've ever had with a group of coworkers. READ THAT AGAIN. It started with champagne toast (like all fine experience in life, am I right?). The Workflo guys gave us a little taste of what we'd be doing with a freestyle intro. They helped us write our own raps, which were all part of a song our team strung together. There was wine/beer and plenty of snacks, which helped us tap into our creativity. The guys were around to help us write, but also gave us our space to figure out what we wanted to do. I basically wrote a poem, and one of the team members rapped it out for me so I could hear how it would sound if I didn't recite it like Sylvia Plath. This was profoundly helpful. The guys were so fun and nice nd helpful and they didn't make any of us feel like losers. All together, the experience lasted about 3-4 wine-filled hours. I cannot stress how fun this was. The final edit of the song (with effects and adlibs) was complete about 2 days later! If you're looking for a fun thing to do with friends, or a way to show our coworkrs exactly how fun you are, look no further than Workflo!! read more

It is an intimidating concept to come in and write/record a song with your coworkers, but they do a fantastic job creating a zero pressure, collaborative, creative and fun experience. We did a family birthday celebration for my brother here. IT WAS DOPE!!!! We had us middle aged folx and our kids as young as 4 years old. It was a super fun experience. The staff.....Dejen, FiL and Byoo were incredible. So energetic. So enthusiastic. They made it so fun and were great with all the kids who had a lot of trepidation, shyness, etc. I walked in there feeling a little shy myself. And felt like I wasn't going to be able to do anything good. But after just a couple minutes they make you feel comfortable like anyone can do it and really anyone can! They teach you tricks so that you can create lyrics on your own and they help you if you have a block or need some tweaking. They got my quiet "everything-is-stupid" teen to rap. Also you are working in a real studio where stars like Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson..... and so many more recorded. And you work with real professionals and a real audio engineer who produces for the stars! I highly recommend. Hoping my husband will book it for me for my big upcoming birthday!
