Their selection was great ! As an artist myself, I think they had great materials! I love all the art in the underground parking lot and was pretty neat! Service was I went to the checkout and saw a squishy that caught my attention, then the cashier said they had needohs !! I immediately asked for him to show me, HE HAD THE MINI NEEDOHS !!! I asked for one and left. HIGHLY RECCOMEND !!!! (BTW the art materials were exactly what I needed)

Every brush here has more personality than most people on Melrose…read more In a city where every "artist" now thinks Procreate on an iPad counts as a medium, Blick Art Materials is one of the last true temples of real creation. Walk in here and you can smell the ambition, acrylic, and caffeine. It's like stepping into a time capsule where brushes still matter, ink still stains, and creativity doesn't come with a subscription fee. The value here and the prices were super reasonable. I came here with my draftsman, a guy who still draws by hand -- a dying breed in a world that runs on Ctrl+Z. Watching him walk these aisles was like watching a monk in a cathedral. Every shelf, every pen, every tube of paint is curated chaos. And the best part? The staff actually care. They know the difference between gouache and watercolor -- and they don't judge you for mispronouncing it. Friendly service, clean restrooms (a small miracle in Los Angeles), and a selection so deep it could inspire Picasso's ghost to start over. From sketchbooks to sculpting tools, markers to mat cutters, they've got everything you need to make something real -- or at least look like you tried. Blick's been around since 1911, and this Beverly Blvd location has kept L.A.'s art scene supplied through every phase -- from punk flyers to NFT hangovers. It's an institution, and it deserves to stay that way. Blick Art Materials is a love letter to real art in a copy-paste world. The service is friendly, the aisles are inspiring, and the supplies are top-notch. If you make anything with your hands, your heart, or even just a stubborn sense of nostalgia -- support this place. Because when shops like this vanish, so does a little bit of the soul of Los Angeles. Support this place -- or someday the only "art supplies" left will be ring lights. Blick is where real artists shop while influencers pretend to paint.

It was such a fun class, and as first-timers to pottery, we felt like it was a great introduction. The instructors were helpful, and the whole process was really enjoyable. I'd definitely come back to make something new. Once you're done, they glaze your piece for you, and you'll have to come back a few weeks later to pick up the finished product.

We were led upstairs, and I was surprised by the rooftop pond, and how beautiful the koi fishes were! You can also see the Hollywood sign in the distance. It was a very serene space. Filming is welcome (a plus for capturing memories!), and parking is free right out front. Just note: the lot is pretty small, so I recommend arriving early to snag a spot. Our instructor was super informative and made sure to spend time with everyone in the class, walking us through every step of the process. It was hands-on and beginner-friendly, which made it all the more enjoyable. The only downside is the wait bc our finished bowls took about 6-8 weeks to be ready after shaping them on the wheel. But honestly, it was worth it--they turned out beautifully :')

It's literally a space where you sit down, slow down, and create. You get to design your own bracelets, pick your charms, layer your colors, and make something that actually means something to you. And I loved that part. It felt intentional. Not rushed. Not just for content. The whole experience is soft, girly, nostalgic in the best way -- like grown-up arts & crafts but elevated. It's giving: * healing girl time * intentional conversations * matching bestie bracelets * main character energy And what I really appreciated? You walk out with something YOU made. Not something you bought off a shelf -- something you created. For a girls' day on Melrose? 10/10. For a birthday activity? So cute. For just tapping into your creative side? Perfect. It's one of those experiences that reminds you to slow down and just enjoy being present.

The store is pretty small/cozy but it wasn't uncomfortable. There were a lot of chains to choose from (and accessory type, like necklace, bracelet, bag charm, phone charm) and even more charm options. There were a lot of good options that it took me a while to decide but the staff was patient and didn't rush me. At first, it was a bit difficult to get the charms attached but the staff was helpful and eventually I got the hang of it. Parking isn't the easiest but I was able to find free street parking so it's definitely worth circling the block. I loved how my bag charm turned out and it was fun putting it together. I think it's a great place to go by yourself or host a birthday party or event at. I hope to visit again soon!

She did this all for the price of the frame and was very kind and pleasant. This saved me so much trouble and I really appreciate it. In the past, this Michaels seemed to have a staff shortage, and the checkout was a drag. I know the self-checkout isn't new here, but it has changed everything; it's fast and efficient, leaving the staff able to focus on helping the customers. Anyway, I really like this location and the staff is really helpful.

This store can be hit or miss in their customer service department. I have been here many times in…read morethe past and never really got a warm greeting from anyone in the store. Sad but true. As those of us are familiar with arts & crafts, then we should know what to expect and what to buy. They have many selections of many things in their inventory. Prices change/varies every now and then; but, do have affordable discounted prices on a lot of their stuff. For instance I got 2 frames today for a great deal. One frame 9X12 & the the other one 16X20 & 8X10. The 1st one was $12.99 & the big one was $19.99. W/out tax. I needed some beads for decorative reasons and couldn't find any that I liked. In color and in style. During their Holiday Seasons they are fully stocked and all aisles are bursting with cheerful, happy colors, flowers, brands and more.. if you are not quick to grab what you need, it will be too late. Overall, not a bad experience, but they can for sure step up to the plate and help out their customers when we need help. I have had 2 pictures framed at their framing department in the past; and, they did an excellent job. So thank you for that! Clean store, restrooms in the far back, also clean, and plenty of parking spaces shared with number of businesses. Located on the 2nd level right above Marshalls. Take the elevator or the escalator up/down. What goes up, must come down!:-)
