Had such a fun experience here! We had the first reservation for the day, which was at 10am on Sunday. Neida was our instructor and she was great. She was detailed with her directions and also demonstrated the steps well before having us jump in. She also told us reasonings behind what we were doing to make us understand the process. I chose to make a bowl while my bf did a small flower vase. The process was so calming and our instructor made it so easy to understand. Parking: there were plenty of street parking for our time frame. For busier days though, I'd say give yourself ample time! read more

Our team had an absolute blast at Pottery Studio 1! We came in for a team-building session on 2/24/26, and it was easily one of the best outings we've had. A massive shoutout to our instructor, Rhiley Jane. Rhiley was patient, incredibly skilled, and kept the energy high the entire time. Whether you were a natural or struggling with the clay, Rhiley made sure everyone walked away with something they were proud of. Extremely disappointing experience. We had an appointment scheduled weeks in advance, and it was canceled about 30 seconds before our start time, while we were literally pulling in to park. We were told the instructor was sick, which is understandable--but our appointment was at noon, and the studio had the entire morning to notify us. Waiting until the last possible moment to cancel shows a complete lack of consideration for customers' time. This class was meant to be a surprise birthday gift, which made the situation even more upsetting. We had planned our day around this experience, and the last-minute cancellation left us with no ability to make alternative plans. Emergencies happen, but professionalism is about timely communication. Unfortunately, this was handled very poorly and left us with a negative impression of the studio. Also booking on website says $200 for date private session but they tried to tell me it was $300 while taking the deposit. Maybe I dodged a bullet. read more

I have pretty long nails and she was so helpful with techniques to avoid getting my nails in the clay. This was our first time doing something like this and we had such a great time! read more

Very unprofessional establishment. Very bad experience. Rushed experience, told the attendant I wanted to make a vase and ended up with a dog bowl. They pretty much made my shape for me didn't get a full hands on experience. Plus now I want to pick up my items and they keep having excuses on why they're closed. Seems understaffed. I recommend looking into a better studio and don't waste your money on this overpriced under delivering experience. read more

Following my last review, I emailed Pottery Studio 1 and they were happy to reglaze and fire the mugs. As I do not live close to the location and would have to make two 80 minute trips in order to get it refired, I declined this and was eventually able to get refunded the difference between a pottery class and one with the painting add on. I was satisfied with this resolution, as the issue I had was with paying extra for painting and making it food safe. I appreciate their willingness to resolve this issue. read more

For years I've wanted to take a pottery class. Finally, for my 35th bday my husband made it happen. We walked in not knowing what to expect. Neida walked us through the process ever so patient and kindly. When we messed up and were quite grasping the concept she assisted us through every step. EDITTED: I forgot that I already left a review so I came to write it again after picking up. My first time making pottery! The instructors are so sweet. They guided us through every process and it's super fun! I think 2 hr was not enough for decoration time to our hearts' content but it's not too bad. We waited 1-2 months for the firing and glazing. They're pretty responsive when asking about the pick up. I'll be back here if I want to do pottery again. read more

My *very* first job was at a Color Me Mine in Valencia in 2000, and it delights me that the franchises still look very much like they did back in the day. This location is clean and mostly well-equipped (they didn't have squeeze bottles for writing), and it was easy and straightforward to get started. The staff were friendly and helpful. I chose a cereal bowl (believe me, though, I was very tempted by the more whimsical ceramic pieces, such as the cat jar and the, uh, "beakers" :P ), and while I didn't originally have a design in mind, I was inspired by the tile wall to paint an ocean theme. I spent a few very pleasant hours glazing my bowl. I added a small ceramic boat and asked the staff (writing it in the notes on my slip) to glue it in the middle of the bowl. It turned out SO cute. Leaving our 18 months old was incredibly nerve-wracking, However, from the very beginning, Kawaii Kids went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and supported. The staff is exceptionally caring, patient, and attentive, and it was clear how much they genuinely love and care for the children. They took the time to communicate with us, answer our questions, and reassure us every step of the way. She and the other teachers gave us so much confidence in the care and safety provided each day we dropped our baby off. Our daughter loved the thoughtfully curated story time, the bilingual curriculum, the outside play, and the love from each and every teacher she interacted with. She has been there for over a year now. The staff are all wonderful and I know they really care for my children, which makes it a lot easier to leave them in their care. My children love going, have learned so much and are always happy to be there. They offer lots of great activities and also do thoughtful things for the parents as well. I also think the price is pretty good for the amazing service.
