However, I feel that the location really needs some attention and upgrades to match the value of what members are paying every month. The facility itself is starting to show wear and tear, the walls are deteriorating, which gives the space a neglected feel. In addition, the equipment is very limited in variety and many of the machines feel outdated. Having a wider range of modern, user-friendly machines would not only improve workouts but also show that the gym is keeping up with members' needs and fitness trends. At the current membership rate, the value just isn't aligned with the quality being offered. To put it into perspective, if I were a potential new member taking a tour for the first time, I would likely assume the membership fee should be closer to $10-15 a month based on the current condition and amenities. I'm sharing this feedback because I genuinely believe this gym has great potential. The privacy and convenience are strong selling points, but without updates and improvements, it's hard to justify the monthly cost. I hope management takes this into consideration, as investing in upgrades would not only improve member satisfaction but also attract more new sign-ups.

I'm mildly hesitant to even leave a review for this place because, like Gollum from the Lord of the…read moreRings, I wants it for my own. It is my precious!! This place is the very definition of a hidden gem. I happened upon it while googling "cool gyms in Utah" a few months ago, hoping to find some sweet Black Friday deals. I had never heard of it before, but the Google reviews got me very excited. There were lots of remarks like "I can never move because I won't find a better gym than this." Now that I've been to The Training Room, I can't go back home to the East Coast unless they let me start a franchise there. For the base membership price (currently $110) you get unlimited access to the gym, which is fully equipped with everything you need for lifting, cardio, CrossFit style drills and so much more. It is so clean and never overcrowded! There are showers stocked with the relevant toiletries, including hair dryer (and diffuser!), cotton swabs, hair ties and bobby pins, etc. There is even towel service, so you don't have to bring your own with you and stuff a wet towel into your gym bag on the way out! In addition to that, the base membership gets you unlimited included childcare! I love that there's no additional fee for that. I'm not usually comfortable taking advantage of childcare anyway, as they are frequently overcrowded with babies, understaffed, and often don't look well cleaned. The childcare here is different. Just like the gym floor, it is never overflowing with people. The girls who work in there are so pleasant and mature. It's easy to see your babies if you want to, as the door is always open and there are even computers at the front desk showing camera footage of what's going on wherever babies are. They even do a "Movement Preschool" with structured activities and take-home crafts where they teach basic manners, colors and the alphabet! The BIGGEST sell for me on this membership is the fact that it comes with free, unlimited access to the on-site Sports Medicine services! You can make an appointment to go in and get a physical, sports massage, physical therapy for injuries, chiropractic adjustments, etc. It's the first gym I've seen to incorporate that and it is an absolute game changer. The fact that they give you access to those services plus everything else for only $110/mo is just bonkers. This is so long, but I could go on and on about this gym. Not only is it the bee's knees, it is also in fact the cat's pajamas. (Do people still say that?) Come join the club! Or don't, because IT IS MY PRECIOUS.

I am not in shape - at all but the ad showed women who look like me doing it so I thought - why not - I will give it a try. To my utter surprise I could do almost everything during the workout. Some exercises needed modifications and the instructor was so kind and helpful that I didn't feel weird asking for help or an alternative to what we were doing. Since then I have been to at least a dozen classes with various instructors and I have yet to have a negative experience. The atmosphere is calm and supportive. The employees are friendly and genuinely care about the people coming in. I met the owners/managers and they were passionate about the philosophy behind Pilates and I was inspired by that on the first day. The cost is a little high depending on your budget, but it is also a worthwhile experience and they offer different packages and also an individual class price if you don't want to do a membership bundle. Highly recommended - especially if you are new to or getting back into fitness. All bodies are welcome and you will feel accepted.

Unfortunately, my experience changed over the past year. The membership price was increased twice within one year, and the second increase was with less than a month's notice. I also had a few interactions with staff that left a bad impression. On multiple occasions, I felt that staff members were rude, short with us, and seemed genuinely annoyed to even be speaking with us. One particular interaction stood out to me: the owner came into the gym while we were working out and questioned whether we were actually members. We were, of course, active members, so being approached and questioned that way while we were simply trying to work out was uncomfortable and frustrating. My biggest issue was when I decided to cancel my membership. I canceled on the 6th, which was the day of my billing cycle, and was told that because I didn't cancel before the 6th, I would not receive a refund for the month. I had not been made aware of this policy. When I asked to see the policy, I was told there was no actual policy document and that it was explained when members sign up. I was also told that it was my responsibility for not asking about it beforehand. What was frustrating was that I specifically asked before signing up about cancellation fees and whether there was a contract or lock-in period. I was told that I could cancel at any time and that there were no lock-in fees.
