The location does not look the best from the outside, but the customer service and quality of massage here was VERY good. Aida is very skilled; she is absolutely wonderful at what she does! I let her know what parts of my back were hurting and she took extra care to work on those spots. Her movements, down to the variation in pressure and technique, are very intentional. I can tell she has studied her anatomy because of where she traces. She can do soft, medium, or hard pressure. She speaks good English. I've been here multiple times. The studio is usually very quiet with beautiful rooms and soft music playing in the background. The 60 min includes hot stones and face/scalp massage too. As I saw with other reviews, sometimes the masseuse leaves the room randomly to take a phone call from the front desk -- it is a shrill sound, very loud. I'm pretty sure she didn't wash her hands before coming back because her hands still had the same lotion as before. The price used to be $40/60 mins and it's now increased to $60/60 mins. The chart behind the counter has been updated. I came here primarily because it was the most affordable + quality place in town, now I won't be able to come very often. The exterior can look a little deceiving, but once you're in you can feel the vibe of an asian massage studio. I called in for a 90 min massage, but they said only 60 mins were available because they're booked. Okay sure, I'll take it. When I got there, it seemed as if there was only one person working, how are they booked? So that means, when the phone rings or if someone walked in, the masseuse had to stop working on me and attend to whatever it is. Something I do not condone or appreciate at all and when she did go outside, I know for a fact that she did not wash her hands going out and coming back in. I wasn't a big fan when she had a mask on, but it was under her chin. Either wear it or don't. As far as the massage goes, it was a typical kind of massage you get at these places but she did try to get some of my knots out. She has a tremendous skills for deep tissues massage. I felt great every time after the massage. I'm now a regular customer and visiting Freeport Massage every week. I called in last Monday, on my day off, to make an appointment with Lily. However, I was told that she was off and tell me to call back tomorrow. A few minutes later, a lady called me back and told me that they have a pretty young lady, massage therapist, that can do a massage treatment for me. I was a little hesitant at first to try out with some body else I don't have experience with yet. But, I decided to go ahead with it. To my amazement, the massage therapist, Sophia did an awesome job of treating me to relieve pain and produce relaxation. She cares about what she is doing and has a great skills as a massage therapist. She is pleasant, courteous and professional. She can do either a soft, medium or deep tissues massage. For what the oil (including special oil for pain area) massage rate and their skills, I don't think I can find that rate in Sacramento or Roseville areas. The masseuse used very little oil which made it harder to relax, but she was able to get some knots out of my shoulders. Towards the end of my massage she patting me down and didn't work my legs as good. Overall the massage was not worth the $60 I paid. If I wanted a rub down, I should have just stayed home and asked my husband to do it for me. He was the one who actually looked up this place and booked the massage, but he ended up going elsewhere since I didn't enjoy my massage and wouldn't go back. Awkward and disappointing couple's massage. Practitioners entered while boyfriend was still undressing and didn't step back out for privacy while he was removing his pants, which felt invasive. The massage was extremely repetitive, and skipped areas while spending far too much time on the back. The practitioners repeatedly left the room for minutes at a time without saying anything, leaving me lying there wondering what's happening and if it's over. The music was too quiet, and I could hear their neighbor's TV show the whole time. Communication in English was very challenging. After, they refused to take tip on card, and I only had enough cash for a 16% tip. The practitioners tried to debate me to tip more, I showed them my empty wallet and explained that I could only do more on card, and they became uncomfortably angry. Holy moly. I don't think I've ever had such a good and intense massage. I came in here achy and tired and very stressed. I left as a giant pile of jello and slept like a rock all night. I had Sandy as my massage therapist and my friend had Lily. This is a bare bones kind of place, but trust me these ladies know what they are doing. I asked for hard pressure since normally I never get it hard enough to actually get rid of knots. I like my massages to really make a difference in my tightness. Sandy gave me the hardest and deepest massage I've ever found. She found every single knot in my body and worked hard to provide some tension release. This is a full body massage and it feels amazing. The only issue I had here is the ladies come in and out of the room getting towels and hot rocks. It can be a bit noisy because of this. It was my first time visiting this place based on a recommendation from a friend. When getting a massage, I'm looking for the ambiance and if the masseuse can give a good deep tissue massage. This place is a hole in the wall. It's on the Main Street but on the side. If you blink, you could miss it. Before your appointment, they will ask you to pay. They accept cards, which makes it convenient for those that don't carry cash often. They are open til 10 which is nice since most places close earlier. The place is clean and well maintained. It was a nice ambiance with relaxing music. I booked my appointment with Amy. She is good at massages, I have to say. One area she really focuses on is the butt which was different than my other experiences . When she worked on my back (I was experiencing discomfort in my right shoulder), I loved it when she used her knuckles and elbows. The pain was worth it! She used quite a bit of oil during the massage (which I didn't really care for) but the good thing is that hot towels are used afterwards and they remove all the oil. This place uses more of the Asian technique which does the thumping and slapping towards the end of the massage. They also massage your face. I gave this place four stars because the walls were too thin and I could hear the outside traffic and any conversations that were held in the reception area. It made it harder for me to relax. But other than that, I would come back especially with my hectic schedule and they are pretty flexible for scheduling last minute appointments. Ask for Amy if you give this place a try! read more

The massage therapist was very skillful and responsive to requests for less/greater pressure. I asked for a hard massage and found her to be more than capable of delivering! At the same time, I have a few tender spots on my back and she was gentle when I indicated where those areas were. I paid for a 30 minute massage but my massage easily lasted more than that, the therapist did not really worry about the clock. (I know there may be other therapists whose skill-level may vary, so I want to make it clear that this review is for Sandy.) As to the location, this parlor had one of the cleanest interiors. The massage tables are spacious and covered with a one-time use sheet like the doctor's office. Used to go to this location before covid and was thoroughly impressed as they were reasonably price for couple's massage. They normally do a complimentary hot stone massage for full body as well. However this time around the service has decreased, may be due to low staff. Both my boyfriend and my masseuse kept going in and out of the session to answer phone, speak to other walk -in clients, and retrieve other things. There were multiple moments where I was left alone. After session ended, we paid the required amount and left a tip. One of the masseuse was upset at our $10 tip per masseuse and bluntly told us she demanded more. I normally would have given more but felt their service wasn't up to par for more, as tip is complimentary. I felt giving what I originally gave was a decent price for service but after their reaction and rude attitude we'll probably find a new location. Today I went with my wife to try out this massage place after having lunch nearby, which we made the appointment yesterday. As soon as we walked inside, it gave us a feeling of relaxation and comfortability. Sandy greeted us and asked if we had an appointment. We said yes and she confirmed it. She walked us to the room with the double beds. Sandy came to introduce Amanda to me as my massage specialist and she would give massage to my wife. We ordered one hr massage for both of us. Amanda did a great job focus on my problem area which are my lower back, right arm and shoulder. She spent more time on those areas. According to my wife, Sandy did the same thing. At the end, they even put some hot pads on our back to help relax the muscle more. We were very pleased with the service they provided. How sad, this place used to be great but it must be under new ownership. I made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon and showed up about 10 min before. It didn't look like it was open, and when I came in the two women there seemed to have no idea that I was coming. Neither greeted me as I came in. I sat down to wait and still no greeting; they started turning the lights on and music on--clearly no one had been there before me. When one finally asked if I was there for massage I said I called earlier. I don't think she understood so the other woman came out and realized I had called. They bickered a bit and as I was waved in, the second stopped me to ask for my payment. I said I was paying with a card and she seemed annoyed. She pulled out an ancient swipe machine for my chip encoded card so of course it didn't work after several tries. Finally, the second woman came back out and said this was normal but asked if I could get cash from an ATM instead. I finally left and quickly made an appointment with Zen Day Spa across the street. It just had a grand opening and a friend told me about it, so I gave them a try. The ambiance once you walk into the business is that it's very nice, warm, clean, and cozy. Initially, I was going to do the full body massage so I took advantage of the full bath/shower amenities, especially after playing 2+hrs of vball. After a relaxing shower, I opted for the foot massage instead. The masseuse led me to the table/chair in one of the rooms and proceeded with the session. After filling and placing my feet in a bucket of warm water, she started kneading my neck and shoulders and worked her way down the arms/hands, legs & feet and finally my back. It was all very relaxing and therapeutic. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong her hands were. She was able to give me a deep tissue massage and loosen some knots on my shoulders that I didn't know I had! Afterwards, I asked if I could take a quick tour and the attendant happily obliged. Michelle was my massage therapist for several months at Happy Hour Foot Spa which is in the same shopping strip, and I was heartbroken when I missed a few weeks and found out she had left. Truly heartbroken! It was a stroke of luck that a change in ownership at that place led me to try Freeport Massage. I can't begin to describe my joy at finding her again! I had several massage therapists at Massage Envy and even a girl who came to my home for a couple years, and Michelle is every bit as skilled as they were. This isn't your typical "too hard" or "too soft" rubbing -- she knows what she's doing and is very good at it. And at a great price! The interior of the location itself is completely new and very well done. My only complaints are that it is often too warm inside -- a fairly minor point -- and that she is often interrupted by another woman who works there, who will come in to ask Michelle questions, talk rather loudly on the phone and just make a lot of noise in general. That's a big problem when one is going for a massage to relax. The last time I went in, that woman wasn't there and things were quite peaceful. All in all, I highly recommend that you try this place. I'm not sure what was up with the two negative reviews, as I've never been asked to pay or tip in advance (or to tip any specific amount or percentage) and I've never been kept waiting. One of the worst massages I have had, came out of the hurting more than when I went in., She did not ask where i was feeling pain and when I tried to tell her where I would need extra attention, my archilles heel and arch on my right foot. Mediocre massage. For full body massages they spend way too much time just on your back. Same repeated movements that doesn't really feel like anything & I personally feel they use way too much oil in which takes away from the feel. The room and music itself is quite relaxing and soothing, but your neck/face will feel quite u comfortable laying down on their tables.
