Been coming here since i moved to freeport in 2004. If i needed a slow leak fixed or a replacement tire, this has always been my go to for all my vehicles. 20 years later, the service has not changed as i did an alignment with them and it was semi performance related. Long story short, i needed to have an additional part installed to do it right and get it perfect, and they said if i come back after the part is installed within 30 days, they will touch up the alignment at no cost. Wow. After almost 2 hours of touching up my original alignment, they handed me the keys and told me it was a little more difficult than expected, but did not ask me for additional money (i did tip the mechanic tho) car drives amazing and the alignment is nothing short of perfect. I wont go anywhere else. Customer service is everything. read more

Super happy after having 2 tires installed that I brought in on my Cadillac XT6 today. My fear has always been of my rims getting damaged. My anxiety was through the roof because every time I've ever had tires mounted there was damage to one extent or another. Well I'm happy to report that there wasn't even the slightest nick or scratch. First tire shop that I can say that I was thoroughly happy at. First & formost if using the map attached to this page be aware that the 'red pin' indicating where the store is located is WRONG! Very busy corner and the actual location is the SOUTH EAST corner of the intersection of Mill, Albany & Merrick. To access their small p'king lot you MUST be either N. bound on Mill/Albany or East bound on Merrick! The Freeport Tire Store is easy to locate by the life sized statue of a "Blues Brother" in front of their door & adjacent to their p'king lot but if you pay attention to the map here you will miss it! A week ago this area had serious flooding & on my way to BJ's I ended up w'a flat. Light on dash went on but as this sensitive light goes on every time the temp. drops & I was in lane to turn towards BJ's & a place to park I made the decision to continue on! By the time the light changed I knew it was REALLY flat. I 'thumped' my way slowly towards the air machine @ BJ's only to find tire was so bad it wouldn't fill! ANYONE out & about in the Southern part of Nassau County will remember the FLOODS of Sept. 29 '23! Husband picked me up in his truck as even if I could have gotten a tire my small car would have been stuck in Freeport b/c of flooding! I left my not new but in great condition KIa Soul in BJ's back lot w'MUCH trepidation to say the least! Came home & checked out tire stores in Freeport for next day! While looking for this one w'it's high marks we ended up @ the WRONG store across the street from BJ's & HAVE tried to make sure you don't make the SAME mistake! Jennifer & George make even the most well planned 'tire fix' a PLEASURE & to find this wonderful friendly couple the day after about the most stressful day of my driving life just made my day! Since I was 'wary' after reading some of these reviews I really must share that husband & I are old white LI'ers and that I was still 'wound up' w'the stress even though finding my car was not tampered with over night in that dark p'king lot! There was also an older white guy waiting for a full set of tires to be installed, that said he had used them before very happily! After a quick conversation George said I should drive it very slowly around the corner and that he knew he had @ least 2 of the 3 recomended tires for my car. Unlike that 'other store' we accidently went to w'the wrong placement of the map pin! Where the old man in office had NO idea of HOW to find the required tire for my make/model & kept playing w'his phone! 15 min. later as I 'thumped' into lot, George was standing there WAITING for me w'jack in hand! He had the used but GOOD tire that was SAME as he took off on my rim, that had he checked if was good, balanced & back on car for $55 in about another 10 min. All this while husband & I stood in office & Jennifer kept us updated every few min.! The 'new/old' tire has just about same wear left as one on other side! I simply can not praise this couple enough for their warm & friendly attitude along w'their quick, thorough and very reasonable service! read more

My boyfriend had a leak in his tire and we found The Tire Store on Yelp and drove right there. We waited a little while to be helped, but they were busy on a Saturday evening. They were able to identify the leak when BMW Service was not and they are one of the only tire shops to patch up a run flat tire without having to buy a new one. Would recommend this to someone who needs tire assistance. read more

Wow is all I have to say here. Long story short, I took my car to PepBoys three days in a freakin row to have an alignment done. First two days had three hour waits and the third time the alignment machine was allegedly being worked on. I said screw that and took it to The Tire Store and my car was literally on the alignment rack in 5 minutes. I have friends that come here and they recommended them to me, and I couldn't be happier. They seemed really busy when I pulled up but the nice lady behind the desk was handling it very well and it seems like they're very good at getting people in and out during busy times while maintaining a professional and quality experience. I also like that you can totally hangout and watch whatever work they're doing to your vehicle. Very nice and honest people I will certainly be back! read more

Avoid this shop at all costs. They tell you one price on the phone, and in person have hidden charges which are totally phony. They quoted me for 4 tires on the phone, mounted/balanced, at time of checking out they charged me $60 more because My stock ford rims were "more difficult than normal". Okay so I got duped and I'm writing this review so you don't too!! I was told by the Infiniti dealer that I needed 4 new tires and thought I'd be better off going to get used tires since my lease is up soon. So, I kinda got duped twice... Someone recommended this place to me and to make a long weekend story short, I'm still driving with my old tires that have now been rotated. Thankfully, my next door neighbor came by and looked at the used tires I got from the Tire Store. He said they wouldn't pass inspection, they were not a matching set, they weren't the brand they promised and that we needed to go back and get my old tires because they were in better condition than the ones they gave me!! When I left the shop, I no longer had a smooth ride and it was so loud I couldn't even hear the person I was talking to on Bluetooth! Do yourself a favor, find someone you can trust, and save your money! Oh and btw, the manager acted like they were doing me a favor by giving me my money back...I just have to wonder how many people they screw over every day! read more

Live in the neighboring town and never thought to come here but I'm so glad I did! First visit was for a used tire replacement on my 15' Mazda 6 that is going back on a return lease soon, as I pulled up I was greeted right away by one of the workers who brought me inside to go over pricing with Jennifer, this woman was so friendly, informative and professional! I asked if she was the manager and she told me the store is a family business so that's why she takes pride in what she does, she gave me such a great price on a used tire that was like new, they got to work on it right away and even adjusted the tire pressure and rotated all 4 of my tires at no extra charge! and within about 15 minutes I was on my way! Now that's service! Before I left I asked Jennifer if they are a full-service shop and she said yes, they have a beautiful garage right next door, so about a week later I was pricing and oil change and brakes for my car and they came in the lowest! Especially with a $20 off coupon right at the front desk! I got semi synthetic oil for only 35 bucks! And front brakes were 105 but discounted to only 85 bucks with the coupon! Unbeatable deal and the job for both came out great! This will be my full service shop for many years to come because of Jennifer and her staff along with the great pricing offered and efficiency! read more

Cheapest prices and excellent service, staff was friendly. Parking lot is a little small so when it gets busy it gets packed but now they have the mobile tire store so they can come to you which is convenient. I actually feel bad writing a bad review because the owner and his wife were extremely nice people and were helpful BUT I went to this shop about 2 years ago, spent about $900 on new tires only to find out after having to repeatedly put air in "new tires" fairly recently by a real mechanic that I was not only given old, hardly drivable tires to begin with that they were the entire wrong size for my car, this is the 3rd thing in the last 2 years I've been told "whoever touched your car last is a complete incompetent moron." Those 3 things were done at this shop including a break pad that was put on backwards. I spent nearly $2000 dollars for this store to NOT fix my breaks and give me old incorrectly sizes tires for my car. I don't know if these people are just picking mechanics up off the street but they certainly don't know what they're doing. I've spent more money in the last 2 years fixing their mistakes on my car. I wish I had never gone here in the first place. read more
