I was charged a fee to start my insurance. I didn't have it all so I put down $115 and then was to pay $200 2 weeks later. I canceled my insurance about 4 or so days later and they still charged me the $200 and no refund on the $115. So I paid $315 for 4 or so days of insurance. That's not right. Its a scam. they sound cheap but are not so they refunded it now again they hit me with 60.00 tow told them I have it with triple aaa then they say you have to be a club member to be with this rip off company. I had state farm look things over and they said lots of monkey business here. then they hit u with all this monkey business fees they even make u pay for tow service .I told then no i did not want tow they charged me anyway my parents got involved they made us prove I had two with someone else. so gonna just let this expire so when renewal comes up Im the heck out of there and filling a complain with state insurance comissioner to check there files they are in my view rip off read more

Not good at all!!! First, my "agent" David, told me he would enroll me in Auto Pay and apparently he did not and so my policy was cancelled, I had to pay a reinstatement fee, which btw, he was charging me $15 more than the company was, so because of that the DMV suspended my license because I have to have a SR22 and they didn't receive proof that month. Then to top it all off, when I called, he wasn't there for a while 2 hours because he was on "lunch" and when I called for the 5th time and he was finally there his coworker, called for telling him "Dave, Some lady is on the phone for you!" Emmanuel Chaves who works for Freeway . at 1220 Oak St, Bakersfield, Ca. I just noticed a heading on the paper, "Broker Fee" agreement form which I didn't see the day I got the insurance but if he had not covered the word fee with a pen in the body of the letter I would have maybe seen it then on the form. He never once mentioned he was an broker and he was charging me $200.00 broker fee on top of my insurance. A broker fee for auto insurance.He took me to a me sit way back of the office and the whole time he was acting secretive and weird and now I know why cause he was being dishonest and scamming me. He took vantage of a me a 75 year senior. When I went back to see him concerning my insurance they said he no longer work there and then I never could get him to return my calls or see me. Couple months later I went back in the office and Ray and Carlos told me they had canceled my insurance and had to get another one cause the Insurance had been cancelled so they sold an other insurance policy but in fact the first insurance had not been canceled and they were supposed to refund me the money from the first insurance and to this day they never have refunded me for claiming the first insurance had been cancelled. The local people here on Oak Street try to help you. They say some crap about the "system being down" this may be true, if it is then where is the IT department to get the computers up? I say this after they somehow handed my information off to a group of telemarketing group of people from first Sacramento, then Chico, and later Temecula. I am sorry but I walked into this office with my information and my check book and my debit card. I was ready to spend some money and take care of some business. We arrived at about 8:55 on Saturday morning to do this. A smooth talker named Brian Molina in Sacramento called me back days later. This individual should not even be allowed to sell used cars-not even crappy cars . I called him back and emailed him, he NEVER called me back nor emailed. These are facts. The business of Freeway Insurance needs to be taken care of in the Oak Street office, the people at the call center do not even care enough about the customer to return two voicemail requests for a call back and two email requests to contact me. read more

This insurance is a fraud or the employees are doing the fraud I called to get insurance in my vehicle an payed $200 for first month an deposit which I agreed on. Here comes the fraud first they called me saying my payment never went through I gave them my card info for the second time. Which later on my bank statement showed they charged twice so basically I ended paying $400 which till this day they haven't resolved why Im getting charged twice. When my Dmv send me a letter about suspending my registration because my vehicle did not have insurance, I immediately called an they supposedly said they mistakenly wrote down the wrong vin number BS so I had a whole month insurance an deposit charged twice too the wrong car which they said they couldn't do nothing about a mistake they made. Once again BS someone is doing fraud be careful. Any car insurance is better then "Freeway Insurance" go anywhere but here it's more about how much money they can get from you then actually helping you. Needed car insurance already made the over 200$ just get get started then they tell me about an additional 200 for "broker fee"I explained from the first day I wouldn't be able to make that extra 200$ payment until next month after thanksgiving on my next paycheck. The agent explained as if he understood and informed me to call a number for an extension on the payment "no problem" he mentions. I did exactly what he said called on the date he told me and they inform me there's nothing they can do I should've called the day before he told me to call. Now I'm upset I have family to see and rent coming up. I tried getting a hold of my agent guess what never heard from him never could get back in contact with him. Overall I missed the holiday with my family. Also when my papers finally did come in the mail everything on my paper is wrong from the VIN to the model of my car compared to copy they sent me through email. Honestly how can they have my information right through email then mail me something completely different? I tried calling about that as well and not much help there either they tell me they can't contact the office that helped me but I can email or go there myself and have it fix, USELESS HELP and PITIFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE "Freeway Insurance"try and make it feel like they're here for you and to help when it's really how much they can get out of you. Absolute WORST customer service EVER!!!! I called my producer to ask a few questions about my account.. First question was regarding my direct debit account information... after being transferred and put on hold for about 15min in the mean time I found the answer myself online... so still being on hold I hung up and called back to try and get my other questions answered... the guy that answered didnt ask my policy number to pull up my account he just said what kind of questions do you have.. they were basic questions nothing out of the ordinary.. he told me well can you just drive down to the office.. umm no I travel for work so that is difficult for me.. he said well maybe I can find a location close to you...sooooo you want me to drive to an office just for a few simple questions??? This was his reply.... Well im KINDA BUSY RIGHT NOW.....!!?!?!?!?!? WTF are you kidding me? so your too busy to help a customer??
