NOT ABOUT FRENCH THIS ABOUT THEIR OTHER SALON VIVID NAILS ON AMHERST!! I literally got my nails filled yesterday. And I told the lady doing my nails that a lot of them were loose and needed to be fixed. She did not fix them. She told me it would be fine that the fill would make it not lift. An hour after I left one of my nails popped off and while I was doing the dishes all of the rest of the nails started to lift up. It was too late to go back and have her fix it. So I called immediately when they opened in the morning. I came in and the whole time she accused me of slamming my hands around and it all being my fault. she told me she will just put a little bit of glue on there. And I should be fine for two weeks. When I'm missing a whole nail and all my nails are lifting. Then, she refused to fix them until I paid her extra 30$ on top of the 70$ I paid her the day before to fill my nails. I was very annoyed and disrespected, and she was laughing and talking to her coworkers.In another language about me, because she kept lifting up my hand and showing the other lady my hand while she was working.Then, she kept telling me this is a lot of work over and over and she should be charging me more. First off, it wasn't done correct the first time.So I shouldn't have been charged anything.It should have been fixed for free.Because it hadn't even been a whole twenty four hours and all of my nails were lifting and one fell off not just one or two. I did not slam my hands aroundOn anything nor did I rip my mail off. They actually were very cute even though she doesn't know how to do designs and struggled to make a simple spider Web. No, matter what i'm doing, that should not have happened. I played it cool and respectful while I was there because I really needed my nails done. So I paid her the extra money that she wanted. Unfairly, just to have my nails fixed. She refused to do them The length that I wanted them and force me to get very short nails, which I don't like. Her coworker kept telling her to be nice and give me a break and she kept saying no, because she needs money. But if you mess up somebody's stuff, you're supposed to fix them without being charged. Especially with it being less than 24 hours after you did the job. I have been coming to this place since it was colorful Nails. So I've been a loyal customer for a very long time. And this is the first time I have ever been disrespected overcharged, talked about And refused to be fixed when it was done wrong.Unless I paid more money. I'm not happy with my nails at all.And I wanted a full refund, but she tells me the company doesn't give refunds.They just fix the nails. I would have gladly taken my money and gone to french nails and had them do it correctly. I have never had this woman Cindy do my nails I have always had somebody else Do my nails including her daughter, which does an amazing job. Because of this horrible interaction and the fact that you stole my money when it was you that messed up.I will no longer be giving my services to this company.Because clearly they don't have morals respect or care about their customers.They only want money and that was made very clear today. And don't get me wrong.I get it.I don't get regular shaped nails nothing crazyThat isn't able to be done because I go to french nails And I bring my own tips, and I have never had a problem with them.Popping off or lifting or anything.So this was solely cindy's fault, and she put all the blame on me, would not take accountability.And charged me again. Did not realize until the end that my friend pedicurist decided on her own to give me the royal spa pedicure, which is $65. I did not agree to their most expensive pedicure. When I called to complain after I nonetheless paid the extra cost, they hung up on me. I will not be back. No complaints about the pedicure itself. read more

The owner demanded that I pay for the incorrect color and come in again to get it fixed which I was responsible for the bill again to fix their correction. I'm not a big review writer - however, this entire 2-day experience has been absolutely terrible. I went to this nail salon for a gel manicure with my wife on a Monday around 2pm. I called ahead and asked if they had time for us, they said yes. We got there at 2:02pm, I was finished before 2:15, she was finished by 2:20. I have never been so rushed before and my nails looked horrible but I paid and left. I ended up going back an hour later asking for a refund because I was so unhappy. They refused a refund but said they would fix them and asked me to come back the next day (Tuesday at 3pm). No problem, I'll let them fix this. I arrived Tuesday at 3:05pm, was done by 3:30pm. I went in here last week and left feeling like I have the best experience at a quickie nail salon that I've ever had but after my gel came off after a week ( typical for me ). I noticed none of my cuticle was cut and only my proximal nail fold was cut an now my fingers are rough dry and peeling . Makes you wonder if they actually went to school for Nails? I am not a nail person. I've had my nails done ONCE in my entire life, and have never ever had a pedicure because I do not like anyone looking at or touching my feet. BUT. I was getting married, and I figured that ring pictures would be coming, so my hands should probably not look like those of a 60 yr old smoking truck driver. So I wanted acrylics, but had no idea where to go. My friend recommended Stone House Salon, and I'm SO glad she did. I was promptly met by Rosie, who immediately made me feel like the most important person in the world. She was sweet and bubbly and kept saying that she wanted me to feel special since I was getting married. Yes, I realize that it's a "sell" technique, but there's something genuine and sweet about Rosie - she really WAS excited for me. Rosie gave me the most beautiful acrylics and made adjustments as I requested as we went along. They really came out perfect and beautiful! I also had a pedicure, and I am now a big fan. Even with my never-before-touched feet, she made them look gorgeous! Lynn took care of my stepdaughter, and gave her a beautiful mani-pedi and threw in some extras for free to make HER feel special too. One of my bridesmaids also came with us, and the three of us left there extremely happy and well taken-care of. The price was affordable and definitely competitive with other area businesses. I went here my first time as it was a little cheaper and had better reviews than my usual nail place. I walked in and when the lady said what I am here for I let her know I had an appointment at 10am. She immediately said I don't know and walked away with a woman that came in after me. Bad start but I didn't pay attention to it. I was finally taken in by the owner and they started soaking my nails which took about 30 mins. A different nail lady took me after and began doing my nails. At first it seemed like everything was normal and then when she went to start the nails everything went wrong. She did not even do the steps right for a dip manicure and she immediately went to doing the dip color instead of starting with the clear white powder. On top of all this she did 3 coats of dip and then put on at least another 3 thick coats of clear polish. My nails are now thick and looking destroyed compared to what they were before I went in there. The clear coat is already peeling and the polish near my cuticles is already peeling and chipping. There are also little craters in the polish so it is not even and pretty. I had my engagement pictures later that evening so I can definitely say a big fat no thank you to this salon for making me feel insecure about how my nails will look in those pictures. It is a massive lie that this place has 4 stars on yelp and should realistically only have maybe 1 star at max for the horrific work they did. I will never be going here ever again and will definitely be passing the word around so that no one will ever have to have this experience. Pictures are attached. read more

Whenever someone asks me about a good nail salon I usually direct them to this one.... However, over the years the customer service and quality of service has gone down. I used to love coming here and now I'll be looking for a new salon. If you're not a regular employees ignore you and seem to rush through your service. My nail color was wrong, my nail shape was wrong, and my reservation that i called in for was not honored. I waited 30 minutes after the fact. Just dont take appointments if you're going to put walk ins above appointments. The shellac I got was okay...but im looking elsewhere next time. read more

I will never go to this nail salon again. I have a 5 month old and this was the first time I was able to get out of the house to get some pampering. And I wish I would have chosen somewhere else. Even though I made an appointment, I have never felt so rushed in and out of a nail salon in my life. (And I've been to dozens of nail salons over the years) I wasn't treated like a valued customer and the whole experience was incredibly impersonal. From the non existent greeting walking in the door, to be shuffled to the back of the salon without much time to pick a color, to start the fastest pedicure I've ever had in my life. If I were in a rush, this would be great, but I wanted to relax and enjoy myself and have some me time. From start to finish my pedicure was 15 minutes long. And the "massage" if you could even call it that, was so fast and rough on my legs and feet that it wasn't even enjoyable. Not to mention, I still have calluses on my heels, and I left with nail polish all over the tips of my toes. Then onto my nails. Granted, he took a little more time, they still look sub par. He didn't use two coats, so the tip of my nail is showing through the polish on every nail, the white of the French goes halfway down my nail, they are unevenly filed, and they were still tacky when leaving, despite getting gel, so I now have a dent in one of my nails. I don't know if this is just because I saw the older gentleman, as the women who were doing nails seemed to take longer and there did seem to be repeat customers there, but i know i will never go again and i will not be recommending this salon to anyone. Overall, it was not a good experience and it was over priced as well. $75 for a basic pedicure (15 minutes long) and full set. read more

The day before my friend's wedding, we decided to go get manicures and pedicures. After a quick Internet search for salons near the other places we needed to go, we decided to try out Stone House. I'm so glad we did, because I have a new favorite salon in New Hampshire now. When we first went in, they were busy with other people and so we made an appointment to come back after lunch. We looked at their pedicure options and decided to choose the special herbal spa pedicure, which is pretty much the Cadillac of pedicures. It was the best one I've had in my entire life. After we'd settled in the massage chairs, the ladies started to work on our feet, clearing away dead skin, prepping our nails and letting us relax in the nice, warm foot baths at the base of our chairs. We chose an herbal scrub and they applied it to our legs, wrapped our legs in plastic and then covered it with hot towels. The one we chose was cool and tingly, which was absolute bliss when paired with the heat from the towels. During the pedicure, the women were very friendly and funny. I was having a great time chatting with them and my friend about her wedding and dress. The hot stone massage felt amazing on my legs. The lotion felt like a dream and my skin was so soft afterwards. My toenails looked insanely good and the polish lasted forever. Next, we each had a gel manicure. That polish was tough. I've been an anxiety nail biter for years and couldn't bite through it days later when I tried. (Which is awesome, because it actually got me to stop biting my nails. I'm writing this review with real. actual. nails.) The gel looked great, lasted for a long time and didn't come off when I was working, which is impressive since I slam my fingers into a keyboard for eight hours almost every day. I setup an appointment on recommendations and they were able to take me in. I explained I was looking for a pink and white on the phone. I could tell that when I got there she didn't seem really into doing them. She tried to talk me out of the pink and white explaining that they were more money than a regular acrylic nail and that if I wanted we could just paint them instead. I almost never get my nails done and it's been over ten years so I had looked online everywhere and finally decided to give this place a shot. I saw friends that had been here so I was excited. I already planned out the $55. for the pink and white and she told me that it was $55 vs $35. It was a little uncomfortable because I could tell she wasn't really into it so we mostly sat in silence. I definitely wanted my nails way shorter because I type all day at work and it's difficult with longer nails. When I voiced that she told me she still had to file them down. Okay, no problem. turns out they ended up being way longer than I anticipated. Plus, they were pretty wide at the end. I was actually okay with all of that until it was time to cash out and I was told $60. So, what happened that it went from $55 - $60? While I was sitting there. I'm not the type of person to complain so I paid and left. I noticed a few days later ridges where the white met the pink in the middle of the nail and I didn't think it was very pretty. I had planned on going back and getting them filled and using my lunch breaks (they're not far from work at) however, after all was said and done everything just added up to me not going back. I just wish she had mentioned from the beginning she wasn't really interested in doing them. Or maybe take the Pink and White off the menu? I have since gone somewhere else and had them refilled. They made them much more feminine and a lot thinner plus, when I ask them to cut them shorter, they do. The worst part is, I don't even want a pink and white anymore. Rosie and the crew at The Stone House are AMAZING. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years now and Rosie is by far the friendliest, kindest and FUNNIEST person I've had the pleasure of meeting. She genuinely cares about her clients. I have Shellac done on my nails and have naturally oily skin so have problems with it lasting longer than a week. Her husband(Long) went to great lengths to try to extend the wear, including buying a special base coat just for me. Mai gives one of the BEST pedicures I have also ever had. Spend the extra money and upgrade to the Aromatherapy pedi- pick your scents and leg mask-SO GOOD. I have no reservations giving them a 5 star recommendation, if things aren't right, ROSIE does everything she can to make it right. My only advice is to call for an appointment in advance, they are really busy, but that's a good thing. read more

Came here on multiple recommendations, and great reviews, only to be disappointed. My best friend called a week in advance to schedule a party of 5 for manicures, and was told it would be no problem. We arrived for our appointment at 12pm on a Saturday, and were helped immediately. While the staff was very friendly, that's about where my positive review ends. We ended up only needing 4 manicures, meaning there was extra time for everyone to have their nails done, and no rush was needed. One member of my party was told there wouldn't be enough time for acrylics, which was fine because we had scheduled manicures, not acrylics. I was the last one of my party to have their nails done, and I believe my experience was the shortest. I've had my nails done before, and the process takes at least 30 mins to be done correctly, and comfortably. My shellac nails were done in 10 minutes. I believe Rosie did my nails, and she was very friendly and talkative, something I really appreciated. I chose a light green and gold color, with the intention of having a glitter overlay on one nail to become a statement nail. I specifically did this because another member of my party received this glitter overlay with no additional charge, and I was looking to save money. She started the manicure, but towards the end she got into a small disagreement with a coworker as far as whether they still were supposed to use lotion and hot towels after a manicure (at $25 for a shellac, I would hope so!), which was slightly disruptive, and definitely left a somewhat uncomfortable feeling in the room. When my nails were done, and I went to pay, I discovered I was charged $5 extra for the glitter. I'm assuming this is because there was a miscommunication, seeing as I ended up with one entirely gold nail, instead of the light overlay I wanted. The extra money would've been bad enough if my nails were done nicely, but almost immediately after leaving I noticed the edges on my nails were not filled in, and my index finger already had a slightly muddy color, making it look dirty. What prompted me to write this review is today (exactly 1 week after my appointment), the middle finger on my right hand completely peeled off. It's only been a week and I already have substantial growth, my edges are unfilled, every nail's color is muddy, I have chips, and now I have an entire nail without paint. I completely believe this is because they rushed through our appointment. Let me add that while it was a Saturday, there was no line waiting on us to finish, they were not understaffed, and again, we had made this appointment about a week in advance. I would like to blame the person who did my nails as the sole problem, but upon closer inspection of my party's nails, they each had various problems with their experience. For instance my best friend had a design painted onto her nails, and you couldn't even distinguish what it was. I am highly disappointed in my experience, and no one from my party plans on returning here. Ironically the 5th manicure who backed out last minute, backed out because she saw how the other members of our party were being rushed, and felt like there was no point paying a decent amount for a sub-par result. I guess I should've listened to her. I paid $33 in total with tip, to have my nails look AWFUL within 24 hours, and now a week later, just a sheer embarrassment. On another note, the parking is TERRIBLE, and there is only a narrow road big enough for 1 car at a time leading to the parking lot, which is both the entrance and exit. Poor design. read more
