We used Johanna and Tyler and for my friends wedding. They both came on time and did a wonderful job. Each bridesmaid did slightly different makeup and hair. Tyler did my hair first. I showed him a couple of inspo pictures and he went to work. He did such an excellent job and was so kind and helpful. The products he uses are salon quality and smell so good. Johanna did my makeup after. She is extremely knowledgeable and talented. I showed her the picture I wanted and she gave me the exact look. She uses airbrush for foundation which gives a flawless look to your skin. She ensures each tool that is used is sanitized and cleaned. I loved the way my makeup came out. Overall this company is amazing. Their staff so kind and skilled in their field. I couldn't recommend them enough for any type of special event they will make you feel and look amazing! read more

I chose Jo Louise beauty to do my hair and make up services for my wedding in October 2023; everything turned out beautiful! Originally when I had reached out I was booked with Joanna for make up and another girl to do hair. But I guess that girl had left and so Joanna contacted me to ask if Tyler was okay to fill in. I did do a hair/ make up trial about a year before and wore it all night to another wedding I was attending so I could get the full effect. At first I was nervous about the airbrush make up but I fell in love. It lays so nicely on your face and really gives a flawless finish. I had some blemishes on my chin and they were perfectly covered! We had 5 girls for make up and 8 for hair. All of my girls looked amazing at the end. Each did their own slight variation of a light glam make up look. Joanna even gave me a little case of my lip color after she was done so I could touch up throughout the night! Tyler seriously killed the hair dos! My girls each requested a half up half down look with a little different twist to each. Their curls held all night as well which is a huge plus because some of them had longer hair. It amazed me that he could look at a picture for less than 5 seconds and perfectly mimic what was being asked for. Both of them were so enjoyable to work with, day of and prior too! read more

I went to Abby Hill for a partial foil. I was not sure what service to buy, but showed her several inspo pics. She said I booked the correct service and got started. She was very friendly during the service. The top inch and a half was very brassy and redish - exactly what I did not want. She claimed the odd coloring pattern was root smudge - something I did not ask for. I'll be honest... I'm not sure if its normal to add root smudge or if she was trying to cover up a mistake). When I was done she could tell I was not happy. I told her I was not happy. I was leaving for a work conference early the next day. She did not have time to fix it, but because I was happy waiting the week would not be an issue. In order not to look ridiculous for a small portion (bang area) she wet it and then put toner on it to try to block the red. It helped some (at least that small front portion). I called when I returned from my work conference and she was short with me. Claimed she saw me "weeks" ago - wrong. She said the root smudge would wash out in six weeks and basically good luck. When I pushed it, she said she could cover it with another smudge but even that would go red - I think she was just trying to make sure she did not have to fix it, or more concerning, she cannot fix it. She then asked when I was free... apparently she was very fully booked because every slot was taken - how convenient. Then she claimed she'd call me back to schedule me in and never called me back. It has been a week. I tried to call them again and they did not call me back. Looks like I need to go somewhere else and try to get this fixed. I only hope it is really root smudge and not a odd bleaching pattern. Please not that I remained calm and respectful. I fully paid for my service and ever gave her a good tip (regrets). read more

The staff is super friendly and nice but the expensive balayage job done on my hair was very meh! Not at all what I had seen from pics on your Facebook page, you made them all look amazing and well you got me because here I came looking for something similar. But yeah too expensive for my very basic looking highlight job. Sorry. At least the haircut was good. They did offer to fix the balayage for me so I went back, then they charged me for it!! Olivia cut my hair/bangs and she was great! Friendly, nice, and talented. The end result was just what I was looking for. The pricing is competitive but affordable. Went there for a corrective color but I was told that they locked the talent to properly and effectively manage a corrective color process. So much for being a five-star salon. If you can't do corrective color shouldn't you be working at supercuts? read more

*** UPDATE *** I just wanted to update my review to reflect how well Jo Louise Beauty has handled the current health crisis. They are truly taking their clients' and stylists' health and safety into consideration with every decision they make. They are doing a great job of keeping everyone in the loop as to what their plans are for reopening. I also know from their social media that the owner is in contact with the state board for help determining what reopening could look like for JLB. This just goes to show that they truly care about following health and safety laws/CDC recommendations, as well as keeping the JLB team and clients SAFE! Their salon is already immaculate to begin with (I watch the stylists clean with such care after each client) that I can only imagine how dutifully they will take on new reopening rules and regulations once they do reopen. If you're looking to switch to a clean salon with a fun and fresh atmosphere, THIS IS THE PLACE! As always, I'd recommend seeing Kait. She's been doing my hair since I was 17/18 and it always looks amazing. :) ------------------------------------ I love Jo Louise Beauty! Kait is an AMAZING stylist. Johanna is incredibly talented with makeup. She takes her time and knows all the right products. My wedding was yesterday and she did all my bridesmaids makeup as well as the mothers. They all were incredibly pleased with the final product and are still raving about it the next day! My makeup was absolutely perfect. I had some serious break outs before the big day and Johanna covered it like it never even existed. It lasted for hours, through sweat and lots of tears! Janna was my hairdresser and she was incredibly patient and did amazing. My hair was unreal and so beautiful. These two were the dynamic duo, so friendly and do amazing work. Well..,I have to say! I was definatley impressed. New in town and I have had my lashes on for 6 years now. I was desperate and I needed a full volume set for an event. It had been years since I have had the actual mink lashes. At first when I saw them I thought I looked bare still. To my surprise, I now love them. I realized how natural they looked as opposed to what I had. They felt like real lashes again and so far ...4 days in I have only lost one. Jazz was awesome and very precise. I live in Vermont actually and I plan on still coming down for my 2 week fill just to get these done. Only recommendation I have, play some spa music in the room to over compensate the continuous noise and chatter upfront. I am absolutely sure it makes it very difficult on the last extenionist when someone flutters continuously because of the noise. I think if the room was a bit more relaxing via music- it would help for everyone. Just a small note. Beautifully decorated and great retail! read more

Unfortunately i had a bad experience. I went in to get eyelash extensions and not only was it expensive but the staff didnt go into detail on what to expect nor did they give me aftercare instructions. I had lashes falling out within 24 hours of getting them done and on a daily basis thereafter, which i know isnt normal (my regular lashes didnt fall out in multiples on a daily before the extensions). I expressed my concern to the owner and how i was unhappy and feel like i wasted my money, and all she could say was "im sorry you feel like you wasted your money." She did offer for me to come back in and take a look at them but with the impending holidays, i dont have any time to do so right now. I feel like i was tricked and taken for a fool. Had i known this would have happened, i wouldnt have spent my money ($200+).The proper response would have been a comp of some sort for the misguided information, waste of time and my unavailability to spend another 2 hours there. When there is an unhappy customer, you do what you can to make them happy in order to keep them as customers... she did not seem to care. Needless to say, i wont be going back. read more

Jo Louise is a master of her craft. She provides the best quality service and makes you feel/look stunning on the big day. She is friendly and super easy to talk to. I wanted it to "wow" my guests. I ended up doing a trial a few weeks before my wedding and my makeup came out gorgeous. On my wedding day, which was out of town, JoLouise was on time, very organized and did one hell of a job. She executed what I envisioned for my big day flawlessly. I was so pleased with the outcome and received compliments all night!! Jo Louise also helped transform the bridesmaids and my mother into such beauties. Despite hours of dancing, my makeup looked flawless by the end of the night.
