Learning how to float with clothes on.
    Patricia C.

My son is currently learning the swim-float-swim survival sequence. Last week he rolled over onto his back for the first time, which was very exciting! Then this week he did it again, except with clothes on. We are very excited about his progress. As a mom, I am grateful for French Valley Swim School and how they are helping my 1 year old (almost 2 year old!) learn to save his life. P. S. We are very grateful for the play area next to the pool! It's a great treat for my son after swimming, and it gives him an opportunity to play with different toys in a different environment.

My son learned to swim in 2 months!! He's confident in the water and knows his limits. So grateful for all of the wonderful teachers here!

My daughter is 2.5 for reference and has only had 11 lessons and she's catching on so quickly. I love it there. The people are so nice and there's a little area for the kiddos to play toys while they wait their turn to swim. My daughter has Ms.Kris's and Alrik when she goes and I think it's a nice balance. She is so excited to get in the pool, the first few times she cried and she still does sometimes but they're always really patient and kind and help her through it.

    Always smiles with Ashley!

Ms. Ashley is our girl! My daughter previously took ISR at 6 months old. We started back up when she was 1. And Ashley has picked up right where we left off. My daughter LOVES going to her. Is 16 months old now and continuously says "Ashley," when she's ready to swim! Thank you Ashley for your dedication in teaching babies water safety and your kindness everyday! It doesn't go unnoticed!

My kids love to swim, we go to the community pool nearly every day. Teaching my kids survival swimming has been a top priority. I have 4 kids under 9 and they all love to swim. Nova who is 5 was so scared to float on her back and she screamed and cried when we tried to teach her. She loves to swim, but I was scared because she didn't believe she could float safely, if there was ever an emergency I was worried she wouldn't turn to her back to breathe. Miss Kris's swimming instructor team showed Nova that she could float to get her air. She now swims, rolls to her back for air and then rolls back to continue to swim in our community pool. All 4 of my kids can swim safely to survive thanks to Mrs Kris's survival swimming lessons

The instructors are amazing. They care about the kids in general and their pool safety. I've been very satisfied with Ricardo, Verily, Makenna, and Hadlee. With that being said, the bathroom is usually disgusting, the parking is not well kept with lots of potholes that flood when it rains, and communication about cancelations is frustrating. The app is complicated (several adults and I have discussed this). Lastly, some parents don't supervise their other children while 1 is in the pool. I'm happy with the growth my son had experienced in the last few months but there wasn't much growth with our first instructor. We're paying a lot so I had to switch to get results. We're finishing our 9th month and he's starting to learn some actual strokes. I've watched the instructors work hard with children that are scared of the water and they're patient and kind.

My son absolutely loves FVSA! He started his lessons this month twice a week with Jessica and is feeling more comfortable jumping in the pool with her. He still has a long way ahead of him but I can see improvement from day one and Jessica is great. I feel all instructors (at least Jessica and other two I've seen) are very patient and work great with children. I've also noticed instructors work very well together and ask each other for suggestions/tips when encountering resistance from the children. I love they work very well as team for sake of the children.

Best place to take your kids for swim lessons, they work with you to fit you into the schedule, ms. Kris is the best teacher. She had my grandkids swimming just after a few lessons, we only had a week so they were going twice a day and what a huge difference that made, or 2 lessons back to back. Highly recommend this place

Love this place. Have sent all three of my kids here. If I have 10 kids, I'll send all 10 of them here. Start them as young as possible.

She is truly amazing at what she does, you can really tell she is very passionate about teaching and saving children! Our baby went from sinking to the bottom of the pool to floating on his own by the end of his lessons! Was truly amazing to watch Ms. Amy teaching our baby all the proper techniques! Can honestly say I'm very confident now that our baby will be safe in any body of water thanks to Ms. Amy at Lifesaver Aquatics!

I'm shocked at how quickly my baby learned and was so grateful to have someone like Amy teaching her. We had a really bad experience with another swim coach who was careless with our child and was not paying attention to her while in the water. I will be bringing all of my babies to Amy. I can't recommend her enough if you are looking for someone to teach your child to float or swim!! I will say it is hard to watch as a parent, if you have a baby they definitely are going to cry and not enjoy the process but I'd much rather my daughter cry for 10 mins a day for 3 weeks then to loose her in a drowning accident. The skills they learn give them a fighting chance if (God forbid) they were to fall in a pool unsupervised. If you're looking for someone you can actually trust with your kids and going to get you results quickly without stringing you along for months and months, Amy is your girl!!

We signed up our daughter, 2 1/2. Jessica said she could get us signed up for the end of May. She…read moresent me the link on her website to sign up. Her website was down. Once it was back up I signed up and asked her if we could start when we agreed and she said that by the time we signed up, other families had taken our spot and now my option would be really late in the day or mid August. We eventually agreed on a compromise time and she assured me it would work out with other children cancelling or getting sick. We went to one class. Then she had to cancel because she was sick. After two weeks of cancellations for various reasons on her part, she moved pools on us to a pool much farther away. This pool was dangerous with tripping hazards and unsafe grades and curbs on and around the pool. Then one day she said we had to go several hours later because "everyone else" wanted to do later class that day because of weather. I pointed out that it was actually supposed to get hotter later in the day and we would prefer to come to our class at the agreed upon time. She just said she wouldn't be there. When I complained that I didn't understand why my agreed upon appointment time was being run by committee and other families' last minute changes, she had a lot of excuses but no logical answer. So there were too many cancellations on her part to count for things like, weather, dirty pool, she's sick, family emergency, Father's Day weekend travel etc. The 6 week program was still going on from May to August. Of course she demanded payment each week even when she cancelled classes. When it came to what she calls "check out", throwing the kids in the pool with clothes and regular diaper, (graduation), my daughter was very scared from the process and did not complete it successfully. Jessica claimed it was a success. I think just to get another family in our spot and collect more money. My daughter went from loving the pool to getting super anxious anytime we get her swimsuit out. Jessica said we would continue lessons until she improved in her attitude towards swimming, but only offered us sporadic undesirable times when my daughter was scheduled to nap. The last straw was when I asked her for a refund as my daughter wasn't water safe as promised. I told her I had the video of the graduation to show proof. Then I was informed that she had video from the homeowner where the class was that shows successful graduation. That's when I realized she had been recording everything with no waver or permission asked. Jessica had taken my daughter's clothes off in the pool and outside the pool. She claimed that it was easier to take off in the pool. She is recording all the children in a state of undress without parents' knowledge. Bottom line she will take your money, not fulfill commitments, change locations, change times, never apologize, has an excuse for everything. She'll try to talk you in circles and she will record your children without your knowledge.

The next day we went on as scheduled. By the third class, we had to go to her moms pool in De Luz, which was further away than the agreed upon location. The pool was dirty and there was no shade. The kids can't wear sunglasses, sunblock or hats during their classes, so no shade was unfortunate for my 7 month old baby. During the swim lesson at her mom's pool, Jessica was scooping stuff out of the pool since the pool was dirty and not cleaned. Her mom was yelling down to her during the lesson as well. Over the course of 3 weeks she kept needing to reschedule the lessons, and then she stated that all lessons would be at her mom's pool from now on. Finally, my husband and I decided to stop lessons because of the inconsistency of the schedule, change in pools, and her frequently canceling last minute. We had paid $600 upfront, and only attended 3 classes. We asked for a refund and she refused. So we paid $600 for 3 10 minute lessons. Please use our experience as a lesson and go with someone else.
