We have a pool at home, so learning water safety was a huge priority for our family. Looking back, I only wish we had started even sooner. The progress he has made in just a couple of months has been incredible. He can float better than most adults I know, and he's already learned how to roll over onto his back and float if he falls into the water. Watching him develop these lifesaving skills has given us so much more confidence around the pool. Like many toddlers, he still cries during some lessons and reaches for me, especially when he's learning a new skill. But I've come to realize that's because he's being challenged, and growth isn't always comfortable. Once he mastered floating, he actually stopped crying for several lessons. Now that he's working on a new skill, the tears have returned a bit which is completely normal. Kris is patient, encouraging, and always makes sure he is safe while helping him build confidence. I truly appreciate how focused the program is on real water safety, not just having fun in the pool. Seeing what my son is capable of at only 18 months old has been amazing. I would highly recommend these lessons to any parent, especially if you have a pool or spend time around water. It's one of the best investments we've made for our son's safety.

PLEASE PLEASE research for yourself whether ISR is right for you and your child. (After my own research and consultation with numerous other swim experts- literally a drowning expert witness- it is NOT as safe as FVSA or other ISR experts will claim it is). Personally-- it was not for me or my child. It was traumatic for her, caused MORE fear of the water than she originally had, and she took in too much water and puked during 3 separate lessons and Kris brushed it off as normal (and I soon was assured by NUMEROUS swim coaches and medical professionals that it is NOT). When I expressed concerns, I DO appreciate that Kris seemed receptive, however, her teaching style is just not compatible with how I want my daughter handled. I wish this were different because I do think Kris is a passionate, very good person and maybe this teaching style works for some, and potentially for older children. But if you are starting with a child under 3, please beware that it is difficult to watch and in MY opinion after a LOT of research, does not provide the long term safety alleged by ISR advocates.

She teaches out of her private saltwater pool, and from the very first lesson, she has been patient, positive, and great with both kids. I really appreciate how she adjusts the way she teaches depending on the child--what works for my daughter isn't necessarily what works for my son, and Darlene does a great job figuring that out. Her scheduling is flexible, and her prices for one-on-one lessons are very reasonable. The difference between their first lesson and where they are now is honestly night and day, and it's clear that they're actually retaining what she teaches them. We've had a great experience with Darlene and I honestly can't recommend her enough!

My other son has competed in some pretty big tournaments. Overall don't think on it, do it. The professors here are great, the kids have their favorites but even so they enjoy every class. Get your children in jiu-jistu, you can thank me later. I'm going to comment on the other person that made a whole review on their first visit. There are actual professors teaching. Most compete themselves. Also yes there are adult volunteers kinda like a teachers assistant. Or other teens that have time being there and they ask to help out. If you call them before just showing up, someone will be there waiting for you. They will explain everything. They will give you the 411, and how it works. This only applies for your first time. And also it's NOT a scam, yes there are promotions. They promote according to age and or experience. If the child is learning they will get promoted. Yes you will have to pay for the new belt. And yes your contract renews depending on what you signed up for. It's your job to cancel if you don't want to continue. They are also a vendor with some homeschool charters. You can use your certificates here. Your child will not stay a white belt forever.

There were tears those first few days from both my daughter and me and I wasn't sure I had made the right decision. My daughter had been in traditional swim classes every year since she was 2, and now at 4, we decided to try ISR. While those classes were a great introduction, they were more play-based, and I'll admit I never pushed her. She never even wanted to get her face wet, and we tended to comfort her rather than challenge her. So stepping outside our comfort zone in week one was tough. There were tears, screams, maybe a few scratches, and some very angry looks directed at Miranda by my daughter.. sorry, Miranda.. Knowing the water safety benefits ISR provides, I told myself I'd give it two weeks. To my surprise, by the start of week two, my daughter was excited for swim class. I was beyond shocked. She had developed trust and respect for Miranda and knew she was there to guide and support her. It was truly beautiful to watch. Before I knew it, she was jumping off the steps, swimming, and floating. Watching her go from refusing to get her face wet to confidently jumping in and swimming like a little fish was incredible. I truly cannot recommend The Ripple Effect enough. The confidence and skills my daughter has gained along with the peace of mind for us as parents is truly priceless. We are already looking forward to yearly refreshers!

Our daughter had taken ISR lessons last year with a different instructor, but regressed half way through her lessons, so we knew we had to try again this year. We found Miranda through our friend and so glad we did! She was very professional + personable from the first interaction and also very communicative prior to and throughout our session. During the first couple of days of swim lessons, our daughter was hesitant, but by the end of the first week she was way more comfortable, enjoying swim lessons, and having fun! Miranda was very sweet and compassionate with our kids and always made sure they felt safe in the pool, while teaching them important swim and pool safety. By the end of the session, our daughter was swimming like a fishy on her own and able to swim, roll, and float to safety! We are forever grateful to Miranda for providing such a wonderful and important service that puts our minds at ease when swimming with our toddler. We highly recommend The Ripple Effect ISR!

I have been to SO many yoga / pilaties…read morestudios (I used to be a manager at a yoga studio chain, and I'm also a 200hr RYT) and let me tell you Hemet doesn't even know how lucky we are to have this gem of a place. Having such a versatile studio offering so many different fitness classes is hard to find. From the gorgeous space to the power house instructors, it's truly incredible start to finish. Both studios are welcoming, clean, and stunning. The reformer room is the most beautiful place I've ever sweat in. The owner Chantal is truly sunshine in human form and after every class you're not sure if your abs are sore from her kick ass workout or her humor because she keeps us steady laughing. Saraijah is an actual goddess who exudes strength and compassion is the most natural way and her attention to alignment and detail has you feeling so held throughout her classes. She is also hilarious! Lorena is an incredible instructor, you can feel her passion for Pilates and movement through her sequences and she is so funny, she also keeps us laughing. If you can't tell yet, I'm obsessed with this place. I'm nicer to my family because of these instructors and this studio. Do yourself a favor and try a class here. You will NOT regret it!
