French Town Auto Sales sold us a bad pick-up truck NOT SAFE for the road . It had a broken ball joint, loose body parts, leaking windshield pouring water in every time it rained. Worst part is there was a brand new inspection sticker on the windshield . Fraudulent inspection - it must have been one of his buddies that put that bad sticker on the truck. Once we bought the truck we had a "30 day bumper to bumper warranty " but that was not true ! We was offered the opportunity for them to register the truck ! Convenient right ? WRONG ! We had to do everything for them to register our truck and still it was about 20 days past the expired 20 day temp plate and they blamed it on us, the DMV, and everyone else but themselves . We went for an alignment and the garage found a bad ball joint and refused to allow us an alignment and they also told us there was much more wrong with the truck especially metal that can fly off the truck but ultimately it was not safe to do the alignment because of the bad ball joint. I called French Town about the situation and they told me my son agreed to 50% to fix what was not originally inspectable when they sold us the truck but that was not true either (Liar's). I told them absolutely no way would we agree to that and I would be contacting the state inspection garage. The owner Bill claimed we was trying to extort him by getting a truck we paid for the way he told us it was but really wasn't. He screwed us ! I was deeply disappointed with this dealership. I saw a 2004 4 wheel drive Pickup that I was seriously interested in, to purchase. I promptly sent an e mail request to verify that it was still availiable. I got a e mail back from Frenchtown Auto that confirmed that the vehicle was still availiable, it was a great vehicle, and that the looked forward to my coming to the dealership to test drive it. Early the next morning, I called to let them know that I was coming to test drive the truck. Before I left, I also decided to call them, to let them know that I was coming. as it was 30 miles away. I got some " childs voice " on an answering machine, instead of an adults, at the business phone #. I left a message, " I was on my was there, I was seriously interested in the truck, and could they please not sell it until I had a chance to get there and potentially buy it. When I got there, I didn't see the truck on the lot. I went into the office and spoke to a woman at the desk and told her that I was there to test drive the red pickup truck. She didn't seem to have a clue as to the whereabouts of this vehicle. After I went over the whole scenario with her, she says " I think that truck was sold at auction yesterday" ! I was very upset ! I asked " how can that be ? I was just told the day before to come down and test drive. it " She just wandered in conversation, basically that she didn't know what was going on or what happened ! Then she tells me that " maybe if I go down the road, to Flood Ford, they might have something there. " I told her that " I had come all the way down to their dealership to look at that specific truck ! " 60 miles, round trip, all for nothing ! What a waste of my time and effort ! Why would you post a vehicle for sale online and then not have it when someone goes to buy it ! I would NOT recommend this dealer to anyone. I went there looking for my first car . I saw a beautiful 2002 Volkswagen Jetta , the dealer was very nice and I did not feel pressured . It had not been inspected so before anything we wanted to do that. We called the next day asking when it would be inspected , which the guy told us it would be and he would do it quickly, on the phone the guy said it was not going to be inspected . The car supposedly was too bad to even fix , this was all news to us considering just the day before we had taken it for a test drive and the dealer was saying what a great car it was. They told us they would put it up for auction without an inspection. I was appalled at the change of situation in less than 24 hours. If you want to be disappointed come here , I would never buy a car from frenchtown or recommend anyone to buy one from here read more

DONT BUY A CAR HERE!!!!!! If you have problems with an already arranged deal made with Bill he will give you the option to pay for his mistakes or beat you up or threaten to arrange to have you beaten up, then tell you to take you POS car and get off his lot!!!! My husband just went to show him all of the paint peeling off all over the car that bill "had fixed" and he threaten to beat him up or have him beat up. Our car looks 100% WORSE now than it did before Bill had the paint touched up! read more

This place is the greatest. I had gone in just looking, no pressure. I found a Hyundai 350 XG limited ed. I love this car and very fond of the place that sold it to me. I have been back looking to buy another vehicle from him. I had an issue with Walmart spilling paint about a week after I bought it. I called them to see who does their detailing, he asked what car I bought and I was told to bring it right in. They got the car looking great once again. WTG guys!! Bought an 09 fusion from there. While it's needed work it's been reasonable maintenance. It's never actually broken down, but it's needed things like brakes, tires, axles, now motor mounts. Don't even consider buying a car here. Bill sold us a truck that had issues, told us he fixed them, put "break pads and rotors repaired" on our bill of sale, and only did the front ones and said "the back ones didn't need it. it passed inspection." Barbara (who doesn't even work there) almost let us leave with no gas in the tank, we had to request gas. We also did not get two sets of keys, only one, and had to ask for a key fob. One week after purchase, a transmission fluid line rotted out and we took it back for repair. a week after that, the axle is leaking oil and the crappy mechanics that work for him and his underling (another Bill) refused to repair it. The engine air filter looked like the filter of a cigarette after it had been smoked; completely clogged. Terrible gas mileage resulted from this, and when I called him out on all of the issues that were found by having the truck looked at by our mechanic, he said it was laughable and started picking apart my english skills because I misspelled "brakes" on my better business bureau report, yelled at me and told me to take some english language classes. This business is crap, and you get what you pay for. It is more cost effective to buy a used car and pay extra money for it from one of the bigger dealerships than to buy one at a "discounted price" because you'll end up paying that money you saved to repair the vehicle you just purchased. Make sure to always have your own mechanic look over a used car before you purchase it, because if you don't, the BS used car dealers will tell you "you didn't know? well you didn't ask. there's no lemon law on cars over 100,000 miles." which is how they get away with everything. Buyer beware. Steer clear of this dumpy dealer and go down the road to a legit one. read more
