Sweet relief in this delicious place.

Impressive service, super engaging atmosphere & finally after being in for 4 days found someone who makes a great margarita. Their Guacamole is crazy delicious.

After coming to this town forever, how had I not stopped into Frente al Punto in the three years it's been open! Ugh, my bad. Anyway, this past trip we decided to post up there for a day and it was spectacular! Awesome seats on the beach, incredible cocktails, friendly service and pet friendly make this a must do in sayulita. We blew through a lot of drinks (bachelor party) and managed to hang out for 4 hours. They had really great music going too! Oh, if you're looking to get married or host a big event, you should definitely contact them because it's a killer property. Thanks to all at Frente, see ya soon!

Great food, great beach club. We ate, drank, and roamed the city on a Thursday morning. Would defiantly like to spend a week in this town.

Our seating was right by the beach and the server was extremely friendly to us. This place was one of the main reasons that made our Sayulita trip so memorable!

I took a trip to Sayulita last month and spent a hefty chunk of time on the beach, both during the…read moreday and deep into the night. I can't figure out what this beach was called (my best guess was Playa Camaron, based on this bar), but Google is inconclusive, so this review is for the beach bar as well as the adjacent beach--which is, after all, where you enjoy your Club de Playa Camaron drinks. My friends and I came out on the Saturday of our trip, for an all-night cumbia party on the beach. We left our house after 11 and stayed out until 4 in the morning. I'm 30 years old, and haven't partied like this in a while, and never have habitually; I felt a little like I deserved a medal at the end of it, but I had a great time. I drank Pacificos and a few shots of this and that, and we danced for a bit in the bar, which had an open set-up so that we all drifted in and out between the bar and the beach. We talked to strangers, and at some point, I dug a very deep hole in the sand. We came back the next day, calmer and more sober, to spend the afternoon soaking in the heat. Not the smoothest beach--gritty sand and a lot of sharp hazards in the shallow water--but we were able to rent umbrellas for pretty cheap and had a relaxing time. We also made good use of the Club. It was always empty enough that we could sidle up and get drinks quick from the friendly bartender. (It also had a public bathroom, the only one we could find in the area. Crucial, that.) The drinks were perfect for the beach. I had a margarita and a piña colada, both frosty and blended and great for the hot day in the sun. The margarita was on point and the piña colada was a satisfying treat, sweet but not too sweet. If you're looking to party in Sayulita, definitely swing by this beach and Club de Playa Camaron for the cumbia party and a constant flow of booze. It's just as good during the day, when a cold drink can greatly improve a hot afternoon.

We came to Don Pato's on our first night here and had a lovely night in their upstairs area. The drinks were strong and the crowd was outgoing and friendly. We made some quick friends when we initially sat down and then spent the rest of the night dancing to their cover band - which did an impressive job of covering everything from the Rolling Stones, to Radiohead, and Bob Marley. There was a nice and relaxed vibe throughout Don Pato and the band seemed to really be enjoying themselves. Both are usually strong indicators that you're in a well run place. Trust.

It was a happening spot, but not really my favorite, in part because it made my face bleed (more on that in a sec). YamBak next door was world's better. The advantage here is that Don Pato is huge, with a few spacious levels, the first spilling onto, and the second and third overlooking the square. I enjoyed that view, as well as the general liveliness of the bar. There were a lot of people hanging out, mingling and drinking and dancing. There was live music at times, including a band that played a jazzy cover of the Pink Panther theme song. The drinks were pretty standard--shots and bottled beers and such--and I think I only had one here (our first visit was just a scope-out, our second a deep night outing after several hours next door and in the square). While I waited to order, the bartender dropped a bottle of beer and it shattered dramatically. One little shard made it to my cheek, where it slashed my face a couple inches from my left eye. It was a very shallow cut that didn't even hurt, and that healed quickly (the scratch was barely noticeable even the next day), but it did bleed for a while. Not a big deal, but I was surprised when the bar charged me for my one beer. It was like $2 or whatever, not worth arguing, but like, come on, if there's ever a time to comp someone a cheap drink, it's probably when she's bleeding before your eyes. Anyway, I still had a good time, and my beer (I forget what it was, but I hadn't had it before) was refreshing and tasty, totally worth a couple bucks. I don't know that Don Pato is a great drinking destination, but it's worth checking out if you're already out in Sayulita. Flying glass aside, it couldn't hurt.
