My family and I went here last April (2025). This is one of the best Italian restaurants that I ate at outside of USA or Italy. I ordered the lasagna and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is staying in the Nuevo Vallarta area! It was very reasonably priced and the atmosphere along with the view were amazing! read more

My wife & I had a wonderful time at Mezzogiorno Italian restaurant! The flavor of our food exceeded our expectations, as did the portion sizes. The 3 couples who went with us all agreed with our assessment. The servers were friendly, helpful, spoke English well, and were very attentive to us. (They kept the sliced bread coming, as we hoped!) We sat on the open porch by the bar that overlooked the beach. We sat under some big trees & enjoyed a nice gentle breeze. We all loved the 70's disco music & found ourselves singing to it...and after dinner we all got up & danced to one of the songs. And the hostess, bartender & servers joined us! It was a wonderful time. We will come to this place whenever we come back on vacation. read more

Food is okay. "Byor" bring your own ride. We asked during our main course if they could start contacting taxi drivers for a ride home (based on previous experiences here). We were assured there would be no issue. Fast forward to paying our tab, we were told the taxi was pulling up. After we paid, we head for the reception desk to be told there are no taxis available and we are on our own to find a ride. No help, nothing. Kind of a "thank for your money, now get lost" kind of feeling. At least don't lie to your patrons that a taxi is on the way. Truly a shame. read more

This is our second time to this restaurant and we've been impressed both times we ate here. The appetizers, salad, pasta and dessert are all fantastic. Three of us had a Gorgonzola ravioli that was some of the best pasta we have had in a long time. The beach view is gorgeous as well, and we really liked the staff. Highly recommend! read more

As you want down the street to this restaurant it is at the very end of a long block so don't be discouraged if you think that you're walking the wrong way. Keep walking past where the number turns into the 200 as that's very deceptive. Upon entering they have tables that are outside on two levels neither of which is actually on the beach so you do not get bothered by vendors, but you get to watch the spectacular waves and Sunset and the views of Sayulita and Punta de Mita. We started off with the bruschetta and it was scrumptious. Next we had the chicken parmesan the chicken marsala. The server's here are very friendly and welcoming and I definitely will return here. read more

I really want to give this place a lot more stars, but in light of our recent dinner, I'm afraid I cannot. We called ahead of time to make sure they had a gluten free pasta available since one of our party members is celiac and any gluten can cause major health problems. Whomever we spoke with on the phone prior to making a reservation assured us they can accommodate this request. This was fantastic since a gluten free option pasta was just what she was craving. We arrived at the restaurant for our 8:30 PM reservation on February 24, 2019, and the host sat us at a beautiful table for 4 on the beach. We ordered our meals and the gluten free pasta was ordered by one of our party members. When the pasta came out, the waiter actually said, "here is your gluten free pasta" as he placed the plate down. As the dinner went on and dishes were shared among each other, I made a comment saying the gluten free pasta didn't taste gluten free, but at that point, she had ate half her dish. It is sometime hard to tell the difference between the two since sauces, and other ingredients can "mask" the taste of a gluten free pasta. Two hours later she was vomiting violently, and we had to change our flight for another day since it was inevitable she was in no shape to fly. The next day was spent buying various drugs and Gatorade to prevent dehydration. She's been sick for almost 24 hours now and just showing signs of getting better. I cant help but to believe this restaurant took no care into the delicacies of severe allergens some patrons have. I know there is a tendency to think "oh, this person is just trying to be uber-healthy and follow the latest diet trends, so it doesn't matter if we serve them gluten free pasta or not, they'll never know." Well in this case, this was 100% the reason for the sever reaction she had. Extremely disappointed from a "top-notch" Bucerias restaurant. I'll never return here. read more

We've been here several times during our annual trip to Nuevo Vallarta and really love it. Genuine Italian food, similar to the kind we get in the North End of Boston and the view / atmosphere is amazing - overlooking the beach and the bay. Such a quaint little restaurant just feet from the ocean at the end of cobblestone street. Eat outside on the patio, listen to waves roll in, sip a glass of wine and eat your pasta! The service was top notch. We did have a harder time getting a cab at the end of our meal though and ended up walking down the road to the taxi stand area.... so arranging transportation beforehand may be a good idea. read more

The owner is the biggest jerk in town! We used to eat there a lot. Then, one night, when I was on my own, I went with my dogs and asked to have one mousse on the street chair. His lovely busgirl pretty much dragged me and my dogs to the ocean side where I enjoyed my dessert. After that, we would stop by with our dogs, and we would ask permission to eat in the restaurant with them. Sometimes, the prudent staff said it was too busy. We totally understood. One night, they directed us to come back later. We did, with our beautiful Daphne and Reesa. There was a lightning and thunder storm in the bay. It was spectacular. The dogs were barking. I saw the owner approach a table next to us with two women. He was all smiles. Then, he approached our table with a frown. He told us that the staff was quite put out by our dogs and he asked us to not bring them back. He lies. We always asked permission. We sat off to the side. We were not offended when the staff said it wasn't a good time. The staff liked us. I even saw a waiter the next day. He told me the owner was just a jerk and the staff did not feel that way about our dogs. The owner made me cry. He is obviously a dog hater. I will eat at the other Italian restaurants. I would never call this a beach bar, it is so much more. Food is high end Italian at incredibly reasonable prices. Service was great, atmosphere was stunning, right on the bay. We ate there twice in one week. The lasagna serving was as big as my son's head!! read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for a decade and tonight's service was horrible. I won't be coming back. I'm not really sure how to explain it. I'm not sure why the waiter put more effort into a staring match than serving our food, but both results were just as cold. I'm still confused. They literally ask if you are ready for your next course to ensure you don't feel rushed and the food is served fresh fresh fresh :) They also have black fettuccine noodles, my favorite! This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Bucerias, had to come here at least once if not twice during our vacation. It was one of the restaurants I would always recommend whenever someone would ask me where my favorite places to eat were, now I will advise people to avoid this restaurant. To start with, I made a reservation for two for my husband and I, with the idea we would have a romantic dinner while watching the sunset, but we were seated right next to a large party of 12 that were celebrating what they were thankful for, good for them but doesn't make for a good start to a romantic dinner. (The restaurant only had two other tables seated, there were at least 12 other empty tables, our bad, we should have asked to move). We order our appetizer, bottle of wine and dinner. It is not until our entree's are served, and what have should have been squid ink seafood fettuccine is just a plain pasta fettuccine the waiter bother's to tell us they were out of the squid ink fettuccine. So rather than send it back and order something else , he chose to eat it, but was not impressed. When our waiter came to collect for the bill, I mentioned to him that it was really a disappointing dinner, instead of being apologetic of the situation and that he completely f'd up an entree he decided to argue with me about it.
