Was looking for a Mexican restaurant with outside searing on a glorious day in Spring and found this nearby place in Roswell. Food was good and the service was excellent. Just what we were looking for.

We had dinner here last week, and we absolutely loved it. The nicest staff and very delicious food. Casual atmosphere, wonderful chips + salsa. We had the fajita bowl and the carnitas fajitas - so fresh and so good!

Outside of Fresco Cantina is super cute. I enjoyed the avocado rolls. Ambience was nice, service was quick.

Vallarta bowl with chicken, no cheese

I remember having gone to Fresco Cantina Grille some time ago before I moved to the area but that first impression was not a good one because I had not wanted to revisit after moving, though I could not recall exactly why. After living in the area for several months now, I happened to be nearby last night and was looking to grab a quick bite with hubby after an eye doctor appointment. We saw Fresco Cantina Grille and decided to give it another go. Upon reviewing the menu once inside, I remembered what had turned me off so much during that first visit. It was their avocado rolls. I remember being happily surprised to see avocado rolls on the menu and ordering them without reading the description because I just assumed they were normal avocado rolls and then being highly disappointed when we received them and realized that they had added shrimp. I had never heard of shrimp or any kind of seafood in avocado rolls and since neither of us like seafood, that turned my happy surprise into a not-so-happy one. But now armed with this memory, I knew better than to order the avocado rolls again and to check the menu descriptions carefully. This time, we ordered the appetizer trio, which included guacamole, cheese dip (we opted for with jalapeno), and pico de gallo. This dish looks very pretty and the cheese dip was delicious, which even my cheese-hating husband agreed with, but I probably wouldn't order it again because the cheese was the only good thing there. Next time, I will get the cheese dip on its own. The pico de gallo and guacamole were okay but more bland than anything else. The guacamole was too smooth for our liking and tasted almost exactly like the store-bought Holy Mole Guacamole brand, which doesn't taste bad but I would have much preferred that it tasted homemade instead and preferably with more chunks. For my main, I ordered two tacos, which come with two sides. I ordered the buffalo chicken taco and the gringo ground beef taco on flour tortillas with a side of jalapeno mac and a side of fries. The buffalo chicken taco was spicy and delicious. I really liked it and regretted not having gotten two of the same. I did not like the other taco primarily because I did not like the flavor of the ground beef. Whatever seasoning they used on it, I was not a fan at all and would not get anything with their ground beef in it again. My jalapeno mac was made with the same spicy cheese as in the dip, which was very tasty, and the fries were crinkly and decent enough. Hubby ordered the Vallarta bowl with chicken but no cheese because he is a weirdo. It came in a big tortilla bowl, which he was not a fan of because he said he had to be careful not to break it and did not want to eat it. He did seem to enjoy the contents of the bowl, though, especially since he asked for black beans, which are his favorite. Service was pretty good so no complaints on that end. Overall, there were some things I liked and would go back for like the cheese dip, the jalapeno mac, and the buffalo chicken taco. I don't think it competes well enough with my favorite Mexican go-to in the area (Rojos), but it is enough of a contender to repeat once in a while when I need a break from Rojos but am still craving Mexican.

    Seafood Enchiladas with Grilled Veggies

Met my wife for dinner here after I ran an errand with our daughter. The seafood enchiladas had good flavor and tasted fresh along with the grilled vegetables. It definitely hit the spot of what I was craving at the time. I really appreciated our waiter being attentive to my pregnant wife as she ate while waiting for me to arrive. Would definitely go back.

    House margarita! For the win

We leaned into Yelp and tried a new place... great experience! The menu is not pages and pages to sort through- I liked that. Speaking of likes- here are two LOVES: There is a choice of flour or corn tortillas. (There is something about the smell of corn tortillas that I don't like) and, two, it turned out that because we were there on a Wednesday it was house margaritas for $6.99. Great price, huh? But it was just fantastic! It was made with pride and quality ingredients! (Those of you who have had something in a glass that was made with a neon mix know what I am talking about!). It was so enjoyable! Amazing! The staff were very attentive and the service was quick. We sat inside to try to avoid the pollen but there was a cute side patio that looked inviting!

This is one of the harder reviews I have had to write because it seems to be a good place with good and fresh food. I however just did not love it. I have to say first of all, I did not like that they did not offer a lunch menu. I am not sure I know of another Mexican restaurant that does not offer lunch specials. So for no real main dish on the menu at less than $10, it's going to be more expensive that what most people think. I got a bowl which was served in a taco shell bowl which was nice. There were two things I did not like about it. One was the texture. Everything in there was very fine diced including the chicken. So it was a very smooth bowl of food without much texture at all. Even the guacamole was completely smooth with no chunks of avocado. Also there was a slight flavor to the chicken that was not what I had expected. It was slightly bitter and acidic. I am not sure what that was and whether they might marinate the chicken in something, but it was not cohesive to the rest of the bowl. The ingredients seemed to be good quality so maybe perhaps it was just this one dish. Also, a little odd but I never saw the same server twice. Five different people came by my table and one of them was part of the kitchen staff because they had on an apron and gloves. It was not bad service by any means, it was just odd. Overall, I don't have really any bad things to say about this place. It was just that several small or odd things added up to me not enjoying it as much.

Super friendly and kind service, but their food and drinks are mid, sadly. Their margaritas are strong, but all I can taste is mix.

I appreciated that the onions were finely diced and uniform, it may seem like a small detail, but it made each bite clean and balanced. I ordered a variety of meats, and it was immediately clear that the quality is excellent. Everything was diced small, cooked perfectly tender, and packed with flavor. Not a single bite was chewy, which really speaks to the care in preparation. The tortillas were outstanding, sturdy without being tough, with a depth of corn flavor that made me wonder if they're house-made or cooked with a high-quality fat. Either way, they held together beautifully and elevated the tacos. The salsa bar was another highlight, offering several fantastic options. Every sauce had great flavor and a well-balanced consistency. The place was packed, and I was the only non-Hispanic person there, which felt like a very good sign of authenticity. Despite that, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. The atmosphere and décor immediately stand out the entire place is filled with guitars and music memorabilia that reflect the owner's personal love for music. It gives the restaurant a really unique and authentic vibe that you don't see everywhere. What made it even more special was hearing the story behind the location. We had the pleasure of meeting April, who shared the history of Rock N Taco with us. She explained how the owner used to bike through that part of town as a kid, and when the space later became available, he chose it for the second location. Knowing that story makes the place feel even more meaningful you can tell it was built with heart and passion. The service was exceptional. Our server, Savanna, was wonderful friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. In fact, every staff member we encountered made us feel invited and appreciated the moment we stepped inside. The food absolutely delivered as well. I ordered the taco salad and my husband ordered tacos, and we both loved our meals. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly prepared. What stood out most, though, was how kind and accommodating the staff were to our family. We were traveling with both an infant and a toddler, and they made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. They even surprised us with a special treat on the house before we left, which was such a thoughtful touch. It's easy to see that while the food is fantastic, Rock N Taco understands that people go out for the full experience atmosphere, hospitality, and feeling welcomed and they absolutely nailed it. If you're in Roswell, do not skip Rock N Taco. It's not just a late-night spot; it's also the perfect place to stop during the day for a great meal or while passing through on a road trip. We'll definitely be stopping again the next time we're in town. Thank you - Tom, Alysia and family.

Rock & Taco feels like the kind of place that stays busy because after two margaritas, a few…read moretouchdowns, and a packed crowd, nobody's really focused on the food. The chips arrived so greasy I briefly considered checking my cholesterol before ordering dinner. The margaritas were forgettable and showed up with nothing on the rim. Salt? Tajín? A little effort? Apparently not. Our finished plates sat on the table for so long they started feeling like additional dinner guests. The guacamole looked like a first-round draft pick and tasted like it got cut during training camp. It had all the visual promise in the world, but the flavor suggested either overripe avocados or yesterday's leftovers wearing a fake mustache. The jalapeño poppers deserve special recognition. These weren't just an appetizer. They were a dare. I like spicy food and rarely complain about heat, but these things were weaponized. They seemed harmless at first, but the next morning you'll find yourself reflecting on every decision that led you to that moment. Let's just say your digestive system remembers them long after your taste buds have moved on. The tacos were aggressively average. My food arrived lukewarm, the buffalo sauce had all the heat of a Hallmark card, and the lettuce tasted like it had just completed a few laps in a swimming pool then stored in plastic. The highlight of the evening was Music Bingo, which was genuinely fun and probably responsible for keeping my overall rating higher than the food deserved. If you're looking for a place to watch sports, have drinks, laugh with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere, you'll probably have a great time. If you're going for a memorable meal, the most memorable thing might be those jalapeño poppers reminding you they exist 12 hours later.
