This spot is good for two things, a perfect patio bar and the drinks. For everything else, it's a complete miss. The bar really is ideal for those that like to sit outside, but at a bar. This time of year (spring) it's wonderful to go sit and enjoy a cocktail and usually the patrons are very nice here. I have learned that my first step is to get food elsewhere and then come to Hola to enjoy the scene. Come late June though through Sept and again oct-march, it's time to find another mexican spot. Really if they made the food fresh to order (often times I could bet the meats part of the food was prepared well in advance of the meal, along with the sides), did throw together the food as they usually do (presentation always looks a mess coming out the kitchen) - the menu itself is well designed just not properly executed. The dining room was spotless, the bathrooms were clean, and even the parking lot looked maintained. Our server did excellent work. I wish I remembered his name. He stayed on top of every table. Our drinks stayed above half. The food arrived fast. We never waited for anything. My wife ordered the margarita flight for thirty dollars. The drinks looked good, but the flavors felt weak and the portions were small. I expected stronger quality from a Mexican restaurant. We tried two of the ten taco platters. We sampled different options. The chicken tacos and the mahi mahi tacos stood out. The steak taco was dry and needed more seasoning. The overall quality sat above average and worth trying. The only drawback was the price. Sixty dollars for ten average sized tacos felt high. Higher prices should come with stronger flavors. HOLA! still offers a pleasant visit, a clean space, and good service. The tacos deserve a try and the restaurant shows potential with a few adjustments to flavor and value. read more

I was headed to Hola to celebrate a friend's retirement party. I approached the property and noticed they had their own nice sized parking lot, along with some shared backup parking with the other nearby stores. So parking is not a problem here. I found a spot quickly and headed inside. I immediately noticed the spacious interior dining room. I quickly spotted my group and headed over to join them. After catching up with everyone, I started browsing the menu and ordered a SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale. They had a decent selection on tap, around ten in total. Time flew by, so I was ready for another beer and some food. The menu was extensive and I went with the chicken quesadilla. I was so busy socializing, that I didn't even get a picture of my own plate, but I did manage to snap a few pics of a massive chimichanga a friend ordered, along with some tacos from another person in our group. I also saw some Churros go over to another table that looked very good. I will have to try them next time. We had a large party, and several servers helped with our table. Everyone was attentive and friendly, and my quesadilla was a nice size and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place if you are on this side of town and are looking for good Mexican food with a casual atmosphere with friendly service. I can also see it being a great place to visit in the summer with their outdoor seating and open air bar overlooking the patio. Hubby and I decided to change up our taco spot a couple weeks ago and give Hola a try. The set up of the space was kind of awkward with booths in the center and an open air bar that gave the flies easy access to come in and harass us while we ate. Service was okay. Not terrible but not particularly great either. We ordered the trio appetizer with queso, guacamole, and avocado salsa. Hubby likes the salsa and I was partial to the cheese. We both thought the guacamole was pretty good. I ordered 3 tacos and a side of jalapeño corn. I chose to mix it up with one Americano, another with fried chicken, and the 3rd with fried avocado. The chicken taco turned out to be my favorite, which is unusual for me, but I liked all of them. Hubby ordered a burrito bowl with chicken, which he said was just okay. Personally, I enjoyed Hola and would happily return despite the mediocre service and having to swat flies away while I ate. Hubby, however, was less impressed and would return if I insist but would be perfectly content to cross it off our list of options. While I did like it primarily because the food was yummy, we likely won't be back anytime soon as I would prefer to stick to places we are both happy with. read more

Came here on a weeknight and HOLA! was moderately busy. Inside it feels like a more modern Tex-Mex place, with high ceilings and some color splashed on the walls. Service was OK, could've been a little better but not bad. This place is loud! In addition to the ear bleed, the food was cold and the service was deplorable. Here are the details of my experience. We ordered a beer and Margherita. We also asked for cheese dip. I was concerned when that arrived luke warm with stale chips. We were planning to let that go because it was a busy night. We ordered a steak burrito and blackened Mahi Mahi tacos. The fish was "fishy" and the burrito was cold. It also took over an hour for the main course to arrive. The server charged us for the full bill even though we told her the food was cold. We asked for the manager and watched the young lady inform him. He was working at the warm service station straight in sight. He shook with his shaggy hair (no hairnet) and it looked like he said "what do they want a manager for?" and continued working without looking our way. We waited several minutes and asked another server to go get him. We explained our issues and he offered to take the 2 drinks off the bill. We haggled with him about the discount and received an unsavory attitude during discussions. It was obvious he wasn't pleased but we got the discount we thought was fair. Guess what! I have seen Hola on social media and wanted to visit. We were in the area around lunch and decided to have lunch here on Sunday. The salsa is delicious. It was unique and really good! I would come back here just for chips and salsa and a margarita! The beef birria tacos were tasty and cheesy. We didn't care for the other tacos we ordered. Though the rice and yuca fries were good. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. She checked on us multiple times, and she brought out what we asked for very quickly when we needed something. It is a really large space inside, and they have a nice outdoor seating area, including outdoor bar seating. Two different times our waitress was more concerned with hanging out at the bar and socializing with the bartender than servicing tables. This Roswell Taqueria has a full bar and offers a full menu of fresh made Mexican dishes. A server brings a basket of crispy tortilla chips and homemade salsa shortly after sitting at a table. The restaurant has several big screen TVs around the perimeter walls and plays local sports games and news on them For this visit we enjoyed steak and chicken fajitas. Came here for lunch with a group from work. It was fairly empty and we had no problem getting seated. The salsa and chips were good... chips seemed a bit stale but edible. The salsa we tasty but could have used a bit more bite. We ordered cheese dip and it had a big glob of cheese that needed to be mixed in. It tasted good but again just seemed to lack a punch. For my meal I got the ceviche. It was a mix of white fish, shrimp and scallops with onions, tomatoes and I had them hold the avocados. The ceviche was awesome!! A light but plentiful Lunch when paired with fresh chips the flavors were outstanding! It'd didn't seem like I was getting a lot when it came out but there was plenty to fill me up. I looked at the reviews and this place seemed like it would be amazing, I always wanted to try their food and drinks and today I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed in the non-alcoholic selection so this place could be a place where you can have amazing drinks and there may be a possibility the drinks do not take as long as the food. I ordered the shrimp taco and the fish taco (fried) with yuca fries as the side and 1/2 corn. My daughter wanted the kids meal (quesadilla with chicken and it came with rice and beans). I would give the food a three - I will stick to true Mexican next time. Ambiance is definitely different on the inside than I thought - it's cuter in videos. We all ordered different items and he didn't miss a beat. I tried the following: Queso dip $5.50 + jalapeño $0.50 Tacos (camarones and salmon) The tacos were tasty. The camarones taco came with grilled cilantro shrimp, shaved kale, avocado, poblano and chipotle tartar. The salmon came with blackened salmon, jalapeño slaw, pico de gallo, poblano and tartar sauce. So close to 4 stars. Prior to this Visit we had only ever ordered delivery... This was our first visit actually in the restaurant. Very spacious, huge bar with plenty of televisions, and an extremely friendly and helpful bar staff. The main dishes are always very good, and are even better when you are there and can receive them quickly out of the kitchen. Starters however are always a little lacking. The chicken chimichanga was very good, but our opening chips and salsa were just a little meh. We will definitely be back, and maybe the next visit will allow us to run this up to four stars. read more

Today a friend treated me to lunch and as we haven't been to Hola since the pandemic, we were happy to return. I don't know if it's what we ordered, of if my assessment is accurate, but other than the chips -- which are thin, crisp and taste homemade -- our meals weren't as good as I expected them to be. The salmon in my salad was over-cooked and under-seasoned. (I asked for it rare.) Luckily, the cilantro dressing added some oomph. Linda ordered shrimp fajitas. She asked them to leave out green peppers, so her plate looked pale and boring. Pale shrimp and an overload of sautéed onions. (She didn't seem to mind. But then again, she's more easy-going than me!) Hola has increased outdoor seating, but with tables adequately spaced and a big airy room, we felt comfortable eating inside. (Plus who wants to eat outside on a hot, sweaty day?!) Next time in I'll order margaritas, as well as something different -- maybe tacos -- which I hope will be as good as I remember. read more

Met a good friend for an early dinner. Training for a marathon so was ready to eat. Since I arrived after my friend the server promptly got my drink order and let me review the menu. Ordered the mix and match tacos (note: Birria tacos are not mix and match): Al Pastor and Carne Asada. AMAZING! You get a choice of two sides (I chose Spanish Rice and Cilantro Rice) and they offer additional toppings (I chose Shredded Cheese) for $2 extra. You also get a choice of taco - flour or corn. The place has an indoor/outdoor bar and outdoor seating as well as a large dining room. Judging by the speed of the food arrival I would say the restaurant qualifies as fast casual. Looking forward to going again and choosing another set of tacos and/or something else on the menu as there were plenty of choices. read more

Decided to go here as the place seemed festive. We were seated promptly and provided chips right away as it seemed slow. We sat for five or more minutes and started wondering where the server was for our area. After a few more minutes, a server came out and went straight to a table where the party had been sitting for less than a minute. We made eye contact with the server for about five seconds and she continued to server the recently sat table. We gathered our things and left.
