Excellent, excellent, excellent!!! First time there...and everything was fantastic! The guacamole, cheese enchiladas, carne platter, cocktails and churros! Staff is great, FRESH EVERYTHING and it was a great experience!

It's been so many things, but this family hustles. They decor looks very similar to the last couple of names (iE Cans) The soup which I loved has disappeared from the menu, but there is still plenty to choose from. The most impressive thing is the bartender, she can somehow manage the whole place almost single handled. The kids menu offers a pretty large nacho plate with beef on top and it's one of my son's favorites.

Luna street steak Taco

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The server recommended we tried their new blackberry margarita and it was refreshing and not too sweet. We got the street tacos - steak and braised beef birria with consomé. The flavors were on point, and she gave us some other salsas that were very good too. The place was very open and had great natural lighting, and loved what they had to offer on their specials menu.

Mocajete's and skinny margarita's......mmmm

I'm going to make a bold statement....and we have traveled the world over maybe my favorite Mexican meal of all time. Chips are such an important start. We like the light and salty bit not too light they break all the time. Their chips are just right. Salsa.....we like spicy. They that a starter that has great portion of three wonderful flavored salsas. The habanero pineapple just rocks! The main dish Mocajete.....see the picture. Turn the car around and come here just for that. Just the perfect combination. Service with (Joy) was beyond outstanding. We will be back again and again!

Blackened shrimp tacos

We were very impressed with the food here. I loved my blackened shrimp tacos. The chips and queso were very good, with the chips being nice and thin. Service was great, and they have a fun vibe, especially on weekends. The pineapple habanero salsa is legit fire, so try that out if you like spice. They also have a varied drink menu.

I read the reviews. One said this was the best Mexican food in the area. So I I was excited to try it out with my husband. I should have read the menu first. Some dishes are Mexican, but with a little bit of Thai, Asian influence. Still I ordered the ceviche as an appetizer, which is Mexican. It was "okay". It had a flavor that I could not identify, nor was I crazy about and some of the fish was chewy. Second we ordered the pazole ... traditional Mexican soup. It was so SALTY that it was not edible. It was also not too traditional, after all. Last I ordered the shrimp and grits. It actually seemed like it was pretty good, but I could not get the salty taste out of my mouth from the Pazole, so I was not able to finish. All that said, the staff was kind, the atmosphere was okay and the salsa was decent. But, we will not return.

Tacos!

Good lord. This has got to be the best Mexican I've had in alpharetta/ milton area. Just wow. They understand gluten free. The steak taco was an easy 10. Ground beef amazing. Chicken verde grilled but still crispy. Family owned spot. Drinks were also on point. Bartender was super kind and made sure about the GF. Will be back 1000x.

Witches Brew Cocktail

Ok, this might become our neighborhood spot. Visited one time before with a friend about a month or so ago. Met Joy, one of the owners. Walked Iin tonight with my husband, and Joy immediately greeted me with a 'welcome back.' Surprised she remembered me, but she went so far as to recall where I sat last time and told me that she remembered meeting me before and was happy to see I returned. Now that's service!! Drinks did not disappoint. Husband had the same drink twice - Texas Margarita. I had the Halloween specials: Witches Brew, served in a cute beaker with a lollipop apple green witch's finger and the vampire's blood that came with glow and the dark vampire's teeth with a splash of grenadine. Such whimsical drinks that were very tasty. Both were skinny, which I appreciated. Husband had the shrimp quesitos -- he really liked them, and I had the enchiladas - one pork carnita, one ground beef and one chicken -- finished every bite. Such a great spot. Wonderful owner and staff serving great food. What's not to love. Best spot in downtown Crabapple. I hesitate to post that, bc I don't want all of crabapple to descend and Tres Luna's loses its charm. If you haven't been, you are missing a treat. Tres Lunas is our new fav! .

This pineapple coconut Margarita was so refreshing. Great recommendation from the server.

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

Great drinks that you won't find anywhere else. They have their own garden so produce is fresh and delicious. Elena our server was good at her job, very friendly, and made some excellent suggestions. My deepest apologies and appreciation for Jovanny's response. The food was good, drinks, good, server very nice. Now, for the reasons I will NOT be back. A poor host can kill an experience and this one today did just that. I asked a few questions about items in the gift shop none of which could she answer, had very little knowledge. Poor training. When my friend arrived and time to be seated, she guided us to our table, laid down the menus and walked away before we ever sat down, no words. We went to leave. She never acknowledged our exiting, but my friend told her goodbye, and then she raised her head. While I was waiting on my friend two managers, walked by I say managers because they had keys hanging from their belt and what looked like walkie-talkies. No eye contact no hello no welcome no nothing. Service should aleays be be on point and especially at their prices. You can get good food anywhere. I go out for the experience. Your hostess and managers killed it and not in a good way. First and last time.

It's been a while since my husband and I have been up here, and with patio season and summer…read more(almost officially) here, we thought this would be a great time to revisit! We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer, my husband ordered the crab cakes, and I ordered the lettuce wraps app as my main. The crab cakes were really good (I had a bite or two), and the buns were unexpected but delicious! The lettuce wraps were also very good, but honestly not what I thought a lettuce wrap would be. I've seen other pictures of them that were much more traditional finger food for brunch, so not sure if they changed them entirely or if this is just dinner version. Tasty, but obviously not for picking up... it would be tricky to wrap them up in that tiny piece of lettuce and I did not want to get dripped on with the sauce. So, if knife and fork lettuce wraps were a thing - this would be it! I think the bib lettuce makes it hard as it's so frail and flimsy, so if I had any suggestions, maybe it would be to try wrapping them from a head of lettuce for a bigger, more firm piece of lettuce. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake. Nice finish to a richly flavored dinner. My husband asked for an espresso and it came in a huge mug. Not sure if this is standard, or if they ran out of demitasse cups. Service was more attentive on front end, but less as they got busy and our server got more tables. I asked another server for water refill and then a manager brought us a dessert menu since our server disappeared. He showed up with the check and we had to tell him we wanted dessert. We made reservation through open table and got seated immediately. When we left, the little lobby area was packed so we definitely went at the right time. I think the servers were getting a little overwhelmed (and I cannot blame them). Still a great view and worth the hassle of finding parking in downtown Alpharetta.

My wife and I were in Alpharetta meeting a friend for dinner, but she first suggested that we bar…read morehop a little bit, and Up On The Roof was our first stop. It was warm outside and warm = rooftop bar. It was the start of a great night. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located in downtown Alpharetta on South Main Street. The restaurant sits on the fifth floor of an office building. There is no parking directly by the building, however there is free street parking as well as a deck that is free and is a few minutes walk. If you can, I would recommend taking the walk so you're able to see all of the other shops and restaurants and enjoy the live music that's sure to be playing. Venue and Atmosphere When you walk in you're automatically greeted by the hostess. If you are going on a weekend I absolutely would recommend having a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. We did not, so it was essentially every woman for themselves. In addition to the tables, there were some couches that were first come first served. We lucked up and a woman was leaving and gave us her table. Food and drinks Since this was our first stop we didn't want to fill up too much. We ordered the charcuterie board, which served as a good snack. I ordered their old fashioned made with Knob Creek, my wife had a cider, and our friend has one of their IPA's. Service Service was decent, considering there was a lot going on. With my friend's IPA they were changing the keg and it actually took a while for that to happen, but our server gave my friend another drink at no charge to make up for that fact, which was a nice touch. Verdict I'm not in Alpharetta much, but the next time I am, I'll definitely stop through for a drink and the view. If you're in the area stop on in! Until next time!
