Was heading out around the Virgin Islands, when I realized I was in dire need of some caffeine. Thankfully I stumbled across Virgin Island coffee roasters. Upon walking into this establishment, it really looked more like a hotel lobby than a coffee shop. Neat, clean, well appointed, very warm and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of seating options, honestly, this is the type of place I could hang out all day. I ordered a latte with an extra shot... Be mindful, they already put three shots in a latte, so mine turned out to be a quad. I also ordered the ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was super flaky and buttery, and the cheese was melted perfectly. Major score to fill my belly before walking around the island. I really can't say enough nice things about this place. If I lived here on a permanent basis, this would be my go-to mooring spot. Bottom line? If you are in need of coffee.. and who isn't.. Virgin Island coffee roasters would be your best bet. read more

This coffee shop is ideally situated right on the beginning of the boardwalk. The cafe inside is incredibly spacious, very cutely decorated. Ambiance is a 10/10. The staff was also very helpful and kind, no notes from a service standpoint either. Unfortunately for the price point ($40 USD total for two 24 oz coffees and a hazelnut croissant), the quality of the coffee specifically is not great. This was the second time we visited this location and the first time I got a hazelnut latte that was 20oz and it was almost too sweet to drink. This time I got a lavender latte and specifically asked for less syrup, and while it was better it still wasn't worth the money spent when you could go to other coffee shops around for a cheaper and in my opinion a better coffee. When I am in the islands I usually drink Bush Tea (plants that you can pick out your backyard and make tea with). I actually had a cup early this morning. While walking around town with my phone dying...I decided to stop by VI Coffee Roasters for a brew. OMGOODNESS this coffee was sooooo good.. I had a small coffee which was only $3.00. They also had a few pastries. The service was cool...I was able to go to the bathroom (there is a sign noting the bathroom is for customers only). I appreciated that they let me go before ordering. It's nice, clean and quiet. I sat here for awhile while I charged my phone, put in some Yelp reviews and waited for the Christmas festivities to begin in the area.. This is DEFINITELY now my number one spot to come and hang. read more

VI Coffee Roasters is located near the boardwalk, in Christiansted, St. Croix , under the King Christian Hotel. Because of their convenient location, you can use them as a landmark or meeting-point for groups. In addition, the local taxis & public buses pick-up passengers in front of their establishment. Their interior is quite spacious and has ample seating areas for groups and is also ideal for those who want to do remote work. This is because there are high-tables for laptops and also a few couches for seating options. They also have Free WiFi available for customers. Their bathrooms are clean & although they often lack paper-towels, their doors lock and offer individual stalls for privacy. VI Coffee Roasters has comforting ambiance in the form consistently cool air-conditioning, popular pop music (often the 90's hits) and they're consistently clean. The one factor that isn't consistent is the occupation of mosquitos, in which I've experienced some in the past, but I haven't more recently. This is a good thing! And may be due to the lowering of the interior temperature (mosquitos don't like the cold). Either way, I'm happy about this The menu at VI Coffee Roasters is legit. They have many classic favorites, ranging from: basic coffee, drip coffee, cappuccinos, macchiatos, americanos, espressos, dirty chais, green tea, matcha, bush tea and their popular flavored frappes. I also love the way they have Baileys, RumChata , Cruzan Rum and a few other adult beverages that customers can use to customize their drinks. Spiked caffeinated beverages are a vibe! I also appreciate that they sell fresh roasted coffee beans and also have cool merchandise for sale. I've also enjoyed many of their pastries served here & they even sometimes have delicious local pâtés. The one inconsistent trait that often plagues this wonderful establishment is their service. More often than not, you'll find yourself with a pleasant barista who you can see is passionate about customer service. But sometimes, you'll find yourself may find yourself with a barista that doesn't meet the criteria for the great service you'd expect for an establishment of this caliber. They're usually on the younger in age and all I can suggest is to let management know through a review or other means, so that they may provide proper training to maintain the highest expectation. Overall, I highly recommend VI Coffee Roasters if looking for a solid café in the Christiansted area. read more

I came here because I wanted a nice cold refreshing drink to quench my thirst in the blazing heat. I picked the dirty chai iced latte and it was hands down the best dirty chai I've ever had. The coffee was very good and they had a nice range of non-coffee drinks as well! But for the love of all things holy, do NOT sleep on their pâtés!! Going to a roaster when you're on vacation is a daunting experience for the coffee connoisseur. You might hit gold but more often you'll find dirt. We tried and failed at another shop so I was very skeptical as we walked in, but my latte was amazing and the staff was very nice. They offer pastries too, and we indulged in the coffee cake.
