Everything in my life is breaking , again!…read more It's been a minute Yelp. Just When I Thought I Was Out, They Pull Me Back In! This time around my wife says she smells something burning, somethings not right. She pin points the dryer as the culprit. We notice the drum is white hot. There are water drops coming out of the crevices. Witchcraft? Demon possession? No, blocked exhaust hose Alex from Swiftec Services explained to me over the phone. He says I can be there at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Blocked it was! Our poor LG dryer was a mess. Tons of lint had built up inside this thing. Alex took the thing apart and cleaned it thoroughly. He also replaced the exhaust hose. He got our dryer back in business. Before I called him I thought oh great, time for a new $900 dryer! His price was more than fair. They had three attempts to fix the ice maker and on the third time they repaired it and also refunded money that was spent on the repair as it was starting to come close to the price of a new refrigerator. It was a long process but they remained professional and more than willing to work with me on this difficult repair. Alex came out and assessed the problem with my washing machine, ordered a part, and acme back later that day and replaced it. The problem still occurred so he came back with another replacement part, hoping the first one might just be defective- but it wasn't. Same issue. Both he and Dan explained that the problem was the main board and it wasn't worth fixing. Then this happened: Dan refunded me the cost of the part and labor, and only charged me for the visit. He then offered to assist me in getting a new machine. I texted him once at Best Buy and he told me which brands to get and which ones to avoid. He walked me through each machine I found (by model number) with "pros and cons" until I found the one I got. I have never experienced this kind of service and actual care from a repair company.
