This time around my wife says she smells something burning, somethings not right. She pin points the dryer as the culprit. We notice the drum is white hot. I can't believe my luck. It is so rare to find such an honest, hard-working person these days that it was super refreshing to talk to someone like Alex. My dishwasher flooded while I was on vacation and I came home to standing water at the bottom of the machine that wouldn't drain. After speaking with a number of plumbers and appliance technicians, I was about to give in and just have anyone over to take a look at my dishwasher, though I wanted to get a general idea of the problem first to avoid ending up with an unreasonable bill. The night before Thanksgiving, my oven malfunctioned. Alex responded to my request right away and came over that evening. Due to my error in communicating the type of oven I had, he didn't have the part he thought he would need to fix the oven. H let me know he would return with the correct part once the parts store opened and remained in communication with me. He even discussed the issue with an associate to determine if it was a more complex issue than a broken heating element. When he returned to perform diagnostics on the oven, he discovered it was indeed not the heating element, but the motherboard. He assured me he had someone who could repair the motherboard (my oven is no longer made and a new replacement would have been very difficult to find). He was able to have my motherboard repaired, tested, and reinstalled in a matter of a few days. Alex was efficient, polite, honest, and knowledgeable.
