The place was empty and there were plenty of other carts available for other customers, if any arrived, so I didn't think twice about this. A man stormed in from the back door and without saying much of anything to me grabbed my laundry bin and detergent out of my cart and dragged it off across the room. I thought he was just an odd customer lacking in manners so I went and got another cart and sat back down. He came back, grabbed my belongings again, took them out of the cart without any meaningful explanation except an aggressive direction to "read the yellow paper on the bulletin board!". Turns out this man was the owner Dennis and I was not supposed to be sitting with my laundry bin in a cart while waiting for my clothes to dry. Instead he wanted me to sit with my laundry bin on the bench next to me and the empty cart by my other side. I felt it was extremely inappropriate for a strange man to come into the shop out of the blue and start grabbing my personal belongings without any introduction or explanation, speaking to me in such an aggressive tone because I was unknowingly breaking a rule. If he had come in and said "Hello miss, I'm Dennis and I own this shop. I'd appreciate if you could keep that cart empty it's a policy we have" I would have apologized and immediately removed my belongings myself. I am a young woman, I wonder if Dennis would have been as confident and comfortable treating a man the way he treated me. I will not be going back to this laundromat and advise other customers to thoroughly read the many papers and flyers posted around the store to avoid being nastily confronted by the owner.

Upon returning later, an employee named Cookie aggressively approached me. She initiated the interaction with an extremely hostile and nasty attitude, accusing me of lacking "common courtesy." I calmly explained that my action was not intentional but simply habit, based on past permissions from staff. Escalation and Unprofessional Conduct: Cookie's Aggression:** Instead of de‑escalating, Cookie became more confrontational, insisting on arguing for roughly 20 minutes just to "get the last word." Disrespect to a Customer:** When I noticed another person waiting at the counter and politely pointed it out, Cookie told me to "shut up and mind my business," adding that I shouldn't tell her how to do her job. Her behavior was not merely rude--it was openly hostile and could have provoked a violent confrontation had I not remained composed due to my professional background and calm disposition. A laundromat should be a safe, neutral environment; Cookie created an atmosphere of intimidation and unprovoked aggression. Bottom Line: No customer should be subjected to verbal abuse, public humiliation, or implied threats from a staff member. I typically use a local laundromat (including laundry room of Waterford) to wash my clothes, but the heavy snow this season and my shifting job schedule made it really challenging to get everythin done this month. Staff were clear and friendly in helping me schedule the service, and my three weeks worth of laundry was done in a day! With my socks matched! I am incredibly grateful. Winter 2026 rate was $1.50 a pound, plus tax and tip. I'll mostly stick to doing my own and use this as a special-circumstances plan, but the cost was very reasonable considering the work and professionalism of what the team did. Thank you!

If you have an issue with any of the machines the morning staff will tell you it's your fault for not using your eyes, or that you did something wrong. The Asian lady is rude to children as well. Very uncomfortable and dirty environment when the afternoon lady isn't there. The afternoon lady makes up for it and I try to only go when she's there if I go at all anymore.

However, Supreme does a better job of washing and folding clothes. The Stop & Shop one does a poor job with folding and I've had clean clothes come back with animal hair on them (we don't have animals). The problem with Supreme is that the staff is pretty rude and don't listen to what you are saying.
