I became violently ill for hours immediately after eating at your establishment, followed by ongoing symptoms that required medical attention, including a doctors visit. All of this has been documented, and the Department of Health has already been notified with supporting proof. What's most disappointing is not just the incident itself, but how you chose to handle it. Had you shown even a basic level of concern, accountability, or offered any form of assistance, this could have been handled very differently. We've passed this place several times. Saying, we should try this place. But we were already enroute somewhere. Friday, we stopped to try it out. When you enter there's no one behind the counter. After a while you wonder if they're open. Are you standing at the right place? Do I ring a bell? Like they used to do in hotels. Hence the name "Bell hop". Eventually a young woman came out and took out our order. Shrimp burger, regular burger, onion rings, and sodas. You go around to the left, of the counter, there's a Boylan's soda machine and the window where you pick up your order. I was pleasantly surprised to find actual chunks of shrimp in the burger. Could've been a little bigger so it fit on the potato roll better. Otherwise, it was tasty and moist. The roll was good. || Sidebar: McDonalds in Hachioji Japan had them on their menu 24 years ago. Stopped here yesterday (Sun 8/25) after a long hike. As soon as we walked in the lady at counter (Owner?) said to us "we are all out of burgers if you have your mind set on that," which we found odd being this is a burger joint & "Burger" is in the company name (already lost points). So I got a Hot Chicken sandwich instead & she got a Salad w/Chicken. The salad was alot better than my Chicken sandwich. The place seems a little rundown & could use some fine cleaning inside & out. I was really excited to try this place. My fiancé tried it once and was raving about it so we decided to take a drive. I love how they offer gluten free buns and different options for burger meat. You can get a regular beef burger, chicken, shrimp or lamb. I love the variety. I also loved that you can customize your toppings. There are toppings available at an additional charge, as well as quite a few that aren't additional. You can also get two patties instead of one. I ended up getting a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, grilled mushrooms and avocado, on a gluten free bun. The burger was super delicious! You don't have an option on how the meat is cooked but I was happy with the way it turned out. I added the avocado and it was $2. That's kind of pricy but I wanted the creamy freshness so I opted for it. Unfortunately, I received such a small amount of a avocado that I thought they forgot to add it until I eventually found it. It wasn't worth the price. The gluten free bun was really good though. It was toasted and wasn't dry at all. It also didn't fall apart and I really wish I knew what kind of bun that was. We ordered fries and they were really good. I love natural cut fries. I just wish they were a tad less salty. I will absolutely return again. I really enjoyed the burger, just won't be adding the avocado again. I think next time I'll add a shake as well. read more

Went to Fresh Burger on 9/9/2023. The restaurant was hot, and dirty. They had no line cook available, so they could not make burgers or chicken sandwiches but they could make salads with grilled chicken. I asked for a Dundeberg salad with grilled chicken but they forgot to add the chicken. The salad comes with cranberries and goat cheese but after I ordered it they said they had no cranberries or goat cheese. I replaced the goat cheese with feta but they put so much feta they I had to remove half of it. My girlfriend ordered a Chicken Caesar salad. The menu board clearly lists the ingredients as Romaine, Parmesan, tomato, and chicken. What she got was a "Caesar salad" loaded with baby kale, Arugula and a few pieces of Romaine lettuce. Very disappointing experience. The kids working were very nice and apologetic. I actually felt bad that they were put in a spot to serve customers with not enough supplies and no one to help them. The owners should be ashamed to put their employees in a position where they cannot adequately serve customers. read more

Extremely disappointed with a burger that had no flavor other than maybe steam? It smelled and tasted old and reheated. No Salt, no pepper and devoid of flavor. Grey meat? Can't get over that, so bummed out. The Fries? Come on, how hard is it to make them crunchy? These were soggy, droopy, wiggly, bland fries. Yuck. I am a big fan of a bakery called Berts Breads in Fishkill. When I heard they were using rolls made by Bert I figured I would give them a try. I got a single burger the way they suggested . I thought the name of the restaurant was perfect. It was a very good fresh burger on a really good roll. I got a side of sweet potato fries that were excellent. They have a really big menu with lots of choices. I will go back often. Definitely worth a stop. read more

Went today (Sunday) at 1pm, and the place was locked up. No note or any reason. Door sign says open 11-6, website says open til 6, etc. Even tried calling and no answer or message. I can understand things happen, but a note at least helps me know it was a one time thing/emergency or whatever. It use too be a nice burger joint for lunch but how it's fallen under with little to no management. They burn the heck out of the fried goods. I would have pictures but haven't been back since they've started to decline in performance. Hopefully someone like the owners can see that there needs to be improvements. Salads are the best value for the money IMO as it is usually mor than I can eat at once and it is nice to have some for later in the day. It's so hit or miss here. I've ordered multiple times and things are sometimes great and subpar others. For example, ordered açaí bowls once and they tasted like pure almond milk, no açaí flavor whatsoever. I'm guessing they were low on açaí that day and just added more almond milk. Another occasion ordered an expensive salad with avocado in the name, and it came with no avocado, awesome. I asked for shrimp to be added to the salad and they had run out. So they called my GrubHub delivery person, instead of calling me, and asked about substituting for chicken. He said it was ok, but I don't eat chicken and had to throw out the salad. No idea why they would call the delivery driver and ask him! On other occasions in the past I have been called for order questions. There have been other times I have ordered and been happy with the order but it's too inconsistent to ignore. This place has been around a while so there's really no excuse for that at this point. read more

By calling in orders and requesting specific amounts for toppings, the quality and taste are dramatically improved vs using the online order system. Wish they would not be skimpy with toppings on the regular orders, but the burgers are great when they put enough of what you want on them so worth the extra effort. The garlic and parsley fires weren't that great I didn't like the taste or the texture of the fries they were to salty. The burgers tasted cheap basic patties as well what came with it. Locally we have all fast food, five guys, looking for a great burger on the healthy side...like Bare Burger. Fresh Burger comes with a price that alludes to a nice gourmet burger, and maybe I just had a bad experience but my burger looked and tasted like a frozen patty, my potato bun was stale and I could not wait to dive into the fabulous onion rings I heard so much about and they were hard, and many burnt. Came here with my family after a hike in the Hudson valley. We were all starving and decided to order one of almost every burger and fry combination on the menu Loved the lamb and shrimp burgers- such nice option, and everyone raved about the signature fresh burger. Sweet potato fries were my favorite, & definitely get the garlic parsley fries if you like garlic knots- 10/10 flavor! Ended with a small shake that was totally worth it. Could've been better. There was miscommunication though. I ordered a BYO (build your own) and said portobello burger meaning I wanted no meat. However, I was halfway done eating when I realized there was meat. If I was a vegetarian, I would've been PISSED. And even though I'm not a vegetarian, I don't really eat red meat.
