One of my favorite things about traveling to Escondido for work is this beautiful Restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful. The people are beautiful. The food is delicious. I order the earthy bowl for dinner or for my long drive home and it is one of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. Today, after a long night of work, I ordered ahead and they left me the sweetest note in my bag which was "rest like an angel "... how thoughtful was that!!!! We came here several times and the service was always great. The food was good too. But today, we waited several minutes as there were people ahead of us. The lady who was helping us saw us and talked to us. Then a couple of minutes later, there were two people who came in and she took their order first while we already waited. We are in a hurry and for her to not acknowledge that we were there first is not only good customer service but she needs to really pay attention to great customer service. We won't be back for awhile as this is a reflection of poor service. read more

What a cute, healthy cafe!! We went there for breakfast and I got the Goodness Cali Wrap. I loved the chorizo, eggs, potatoes, and cheese in a yummy tortillas with salsa on the side. Was looking for something healthy after the gym and was going to get Sweetgreen saw this place was closer and locally owned and decided to go here instead. Was SO happy I did. The food is amazing. The interior is so cute and welcoming. The women behind the counter were very kind and accommodating. The people ahead of us had some specific food requests and were even a tad impolite when asking but the employees (one or both of whom I think are the owner/s?) handled it without a hitch. The food was incredible. Super tender and flavorful chicken, fresh and bright vegetables, the sauces were perfectly balanced... This place! Oh man, it's very unassuming from the exterior but once you step inside it's a peaceful sanctuary with deliciously healthy food. We are local to Esco and are so happy to have such a wonderful place that offers a good variety of healthy options when eating out. Upon walking in we were greeted with a friendly hello. We asked if we could come in with our pup since we had been out for a walk when we decided to stop in. They said absolutely. Yay, pet friendly. After walking up to the counter to order there's a menu that shows there are a couple of options: Build your own bowl or choose a signature bowl. There are about six different signature bowl options to choose from. Every single one sounds amazing so it's hard to decide (be warned) :) However, I decided on the Earthy Bowl and my partner the Mexican Bowl. Once we ordered we went to sit down and wait for the food to arrive at the table. The place is very spacious inside so plenty of seating options. The bowls arrived and the portion size are large. The flavors between the ingredients and sauces were so delicious. Hard to believe it's healthy! I highly recommend both of those bowls. Side note, they also sell wine for a drink option which at the right time could be a nice addition. In all, we were so happy we stopped in. This place is a gem!! Yum! Soooo happy to have this place in town as it is DEDICATED GLUTEN FREE! If you're celiac like me you know how few and far between those safe restaurants are. Super cute location downtown where Suzy Q's used to be. The inside is very chic and modern and a nice place to hang out with friends or family. The service was great, everyone was super helpful and friendly and took pride in their work. My Mexican bowl was so tasty and fresh, I savored every bite, and my 11 month old even had a few bites as well and banged his hands on the table to ask for more. My parents built their own bowls and raves about the food as well. I'm definitely going to be a regular here and look forward to introducing my celiac friends to it! read more

This is a new joint in escondido, it is right on the corner easy to miss. Inside it's such a cute boho/vibey place to eat. There were definitely a lot of photo op places if that is what your into. For the food, I got a fresh n go bowl with salmon. This bowl includes white rice, quinoa and a spring mix for a base. And for the toppings there was cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, cilantro raffish and edamame. I also added some corn. For the sauces I got garlic cilantro and mango habanero on the side. The salmon was so perfectly made, the outside had a nice crisp but still very flaky and flavorful. The toppings still tasted very fresh and I actually went right before closing time. The garlic cilantro sauce was so good in my bowl. The mango habanero sauce was very subtle I didn't really taste it much in my bowl. I think you can skip out on this sauce or get it on the side. This place has a subway/chipotle type feel with all the toppings you can add into your bowl. I do feel like it was a bit pricey (my bowl was 22$) but again, healthier options tend to be on the pricier side. read more

This place had taken over the old diner, and the interior in here is super cute and aesthetic. I love the low lit vibes with tons of plants & living room / book corner! Nice place to lounge and get your study on. Service was great, there were 2 ladies running the shop they were helpful with explaining how it works. This reminds me of a healthy superfoods chipotle, you pick & choose your base, protein, sauce. We chose salmon & fried tofu for protein & quinoa as our base. It was pretty good but i felt like the chipotle sauce i chose didn't compliment the dish. & I'd wish their tofu was on the crunchier side to add texture. One recommendation; I would like to see is more options for sauces. Maybe adding a spicy mayo or a greek yogurt sauce to compliment the proteins especially if you're picking salmon. Pricing was a bit steep, they weigh your option dishes by lb, with 2 pressed green smoothies our total rounded to about $43. Overall, It's a nice concept! Best place in downtown Escondido! If you want to eat out but also want to eat healthy food, this is the restaurant for you. They cook with real, whole foods and don't use any seed oils in their cooking. They use avocado oil for everything with the exception of the plantains for the Miami bowl, which are cooked in coconut oil. The restaurant is very cozy and spacious at the same time. Great atmosphere. Lots of beautiful live plants. Great place to get coffee, lunch, or dinner. Service is great as well. Very welcoming. All I can say is wow. Super cute and casual place. The food was awesome. My wife is a vegan so this place was perfect for her. But they have something for everyone meat eater or vegan. All the toppings except for the cheese are veggies as well as the sauces being dairy free. We both got the bowls. My bowl was black beans and cilantro rice (only available on Friday) base with avocado, red onion, red pepper, corn and Mexican cheese with the garlic cilantro sauce. Exceptional taste and blend of flavors. You need to go down to Juniper and 2nd. (Next block south of Grande) You will be happy you did just like I was.
