Came here in March for my best friends 26th birthday. Cute and quiet we ordered mimosas and breakfast. Food was pretty good but the staff and manager not so good. The waitress took our order and gave us the mimosas and food. Then a manager came up and asked for our ID's while we're eating, after berating the waitress right behind us for not carding us. I then had to get up and walk over to the counter because "we didn't pay for the bottomless mimosas" I had one glass and my friend had 2. Somehow got charged more and never got my receipt. The manager was so unprofessional I handed her my card to pay but stared at me so I had to get up and go back to the counter. Don't come here not worth it. Do not get the mimosas!! read more

Decided to support a new local business for Earth Day and #FreshNgo did not disappoint! I ordered online and my order was ready before I even pulled out of my driveway. The staff was very friendly and the decor inside is super cute / earthy with lots of plants. I sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather - tables were clean & comfortable and had little plants for centerpieces. My Buddha bowl was delicious! So great to have a healthy and fresh place to eat in our town. We enjoyed a build yourself bowl with salad, quinoa, chicken and lots of veggies. Everything tasted great and the people who served us were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We met 1 of the owners and she could not have been more welcoming. The atmosphere is fun and cute. A bit on the chilly side so bring a jacket if it's a cool day. I would say the bowls are a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants with that style of fast casual so hopefully that issue doesn't deter people from going. We will definitely be back read more

My husband and I stopped in for the first time yesterday, and we loved it! The food was delicious, fresh, and filling. We ordered the Buddha bowl and the Mediterranean bowl and both were delicious. The flavors and sauce mingled so well together. We also tried some of their house made fruit teas and they were so good too. The space is open, airy and really beautiful. The service was great. I do not typically write negative reviews but this place was AWFUL!! Food looks nothing like the pictures I ordered a Miami bowl, rice was not cooked at all maybe 5 mins and was still hard. We went to Fresh Cafe on NYE around 12:30pm. Based on the reviews, we were expecting a pretty decent, healthful meal; unfortunately, what we got was pretty bad. I am a very empathetic person, so I've been trying to figure out how to say this nicely, but have been unable to find the words other than: worst restaurant food ever. The black beans and garbanzo beans were obviously straight out of a can. The tofu was advertised as "grilled" on the menu, but was raw and had been previously frozen. My build-your-own bowl was soupy and had hardly any quinoa. It was like it was prepared by someone who had never prepared health food before. I hope that their normal chef called out that day because their absence is the only thing I can think of to explain the food we recieved. The avocado toast was one very thin slice of bread with mashed avocado on top, served on a paper plate. It looked like a child prepared it. There are tons of recipes online for good avocado toast, and I was shocked that we were served such a low quality item. The ambiance of the place was nice, and the staff were friendly. I appreciate the effort to create a positive, healthy environment, but the food was unacceptable. We will not be returning. Also, I read the negative reviews here, and I suggest that the business owner take constructive criticism a bit better. It'd be wonderful to have a GOOD healthy food establishment here. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is that the online ordering is not good. Many office people need the convenience of logging in, entering yours orders, pay and pick up. Omg soooo good. And one of the few truly fresh and healthy spots in Escondido. Been multiple times and not once disappointed. I get the salmon and holy cow it's good. I build my own bowl and they put a filet of salmon on top. I don't know how they cook it (air fryer maybe?) but every single time it is perfectly crisp on the outside and not raw or over done on the inside. If you're not a fish fan I've taken a few people in and they got other meats like chicken and they loved it too. The Mexican bowl is also always a home run. Visited Fresh N Go on a Friday for lunch. It was really good! I got the Mediterranean bowl. The lamb was really tender and flavorful. It was very filling- I couldn't finish the whole thing! I also got the hybiscus tea of the day- strawberry tangerine I believe. Also very tasty! I went here because it was the only restaurant in Escondido I could find who doesn't use canola or sees oils.
