We are just staying the night in the local area and in the morning wanted to eat some breakfast. Looking around we saw this place with over 90 different options of omelettes one of the best breakfasts we had on our trip for this spring. I had the Italian sausage and mushroom omelette. My partner had the Benedict the best he's ever had. It was sweet that they brought out some whipped cream and fruit for the kids to start off their meals. A local diner made for family friendly place really nice service. It had a very country feel similar to Cracker Barrel and a lot of things to look at. They had some metal roosters and an objects in the front which made it really fun for the kids it was a fun environment to begin as we ended our vacation to head home.

Service and food was absolutely amazing. Super big portions and the staff was awesome. I am definitely gonna be a regular here. Thank you so much for a great experience and something super unique.

An extremely mid meal for the price. Staff is nice and try to make everyone feel welcome. You can kind of tell who the regulars are where they keep up with each other's lives, but they still pay attention to everyone. The price for the meal seemed pretty high for items that cost so little to put on a plate at home. I get the everything costs more, but I want it to at least be better than what I can put together and this was not the case here. The eggs seemed watered down and were pale (lower quality), pancakes were slightly burned, and the hash browns didn't show a single speck of seasoning. I guess the salt and pepper at the table is meant to be enough. For the diner experience, it's just not worth it.

Cozy quiet place with yummy food. Portions were too big for me lol. The service was warm and welcoming.

When you open that door, get ready to be transported back in time to an amazing country cafe. Once inside look for the table that has the "Hi Laura" placard on it. Laura was an absolute dream. One of the best representatives for any restaurant I have visited. Kudos to the chefs, my awesome yet simple breakfast arrived hot and delicious. Just the way I like it. The food quality and presentation were very reminiscent of traveling across the south to those fine country establishments. Perfect to the taste palette definitely prepared with love. I would highly recommend that you visit when you're in the area.

Great food, beautiful atmosphere make you feel like home excellent customer service Amber is the best! Welcomed us with positive energy explained to us the menu with patience since this was our first time here! I definitely recommend this place

The Valentine's Day special. Two eggs, 2 bacon, and 1/2 order of French toast topped with berries and whipped cream. Delicious!

The food is good. Upgraded to the turkey sausage, but didn't care for the taste. My friend did enjoy it, so polished them off for me. Overall a great experience. The service is excellent and they have lots of gifts located around the seating area from banners to soft dolls that are for sale.

    Ham and eggs, delicious!

This is a great breakfast spot! I had the ham and eggs and "The Mash" which was basically hobo eggs with cheese. The staff were very friendly and had no problems coming out and making friends with dinners. An old timer Marine came out from behind the kitchen and played host to just about everyone in the restaurant. It was a very hospitable atmosphere and it seemed like the regulars knew him. I will be coming back soon for the food and atmosphere.

    Giant omlet! #71

I really loved having breakfast here this morning. This place is charming. Large menu, which I love. I had the #71. It was an omlet with bacon, green onion, avocado, tomato and cheese. It was, hands down, the best omlet I ever had. So fresh and so full of ingredients. Amazing. My wife had the eggs Benedict and we shared a biscuit and gravy. My wife said her food was good. I wish I had tried it. Biscuits and gravy were great. Special shout out to Brenda. She was an awesome waitress. She brought me a refill on my diet coke without being asked. I love that! Can't wait to come back!

Story time: on my way home from the doctor, I stopped for breakfast at IHOP, then I was like nah lemme support a local business... So I left and went to Sunny Side Kitchen, the best breakfast sandwich place in the whole country (according to me and also Yelp) But it was closed So I went to Delight of France But the line was like an hour long So I went to this place, Golden Egg Omelet house because some guest at Red Robin 4 years ago told me I should come here for cheap mimosas -- said she was a server at Golden Egg. And it is the CUTEST quirkiest weirdest little place, and the chef, an exuberant middle aged black man, comes out and loudly greets every single table like a jolly Santa Claus (there's like 50 tables). And he comes up to me and is like "hey man you look just like my son!" And I give the very generic answer "is he good looking?" And he goes "MAN! He gets his looks from his father whatchu think!" And the servers are all super super kind and outgoing. This place is a magical local brunch spot They also have 90 omelets on their menu which was very intimidating Update, my omelet has arrived and she is so full of happiness and goodness, I have never had an omelet that was this full of ingredients before. I may be slightly buzzed but that does not change the factual nature of my review, if anything it is only enhanced.

The Mess with a side of hot salsa.

We noticed…read moreseveral park eateries were closed for lunch; and the ones open mainly served hot dogs and hamburgers (not what we wanted). So we checked Yelp for the next best thing nearby and found the "Sunny Side Kitchen". I'm not a vegetarian, but my Vegan Panini (with a pickle slice and fresh fruit cup on the side) was wonderful. That freshly baked sourdough bread sandwich was so juicy some avocado squirted out of an air hole in the bread onto my shirt. Luckily water was nearby to quickly wipe away any future stain. Recommendation: Wear a napkin on your shirt. ; ) p.s. It wasn't crowded for a Tuesday lunch; and owner Kate added great conversation and promoted neighboring "Esco Gelatto" as a good place for dessert, but we were too full. We'll save room next time.

It's a cute, casual mom and pop breakfast/lunch joint that specializes in paninis and salads. The restaurant is tiny inside. They have a few tables for dining in but they are really close together. I would say it would be best to pick up and to go. You can order at the counter but it seems most people use the QR code on the table to order online. Our paninis were good and I enjoyed the seasoned cheese herb crunch on the sourdough but the food is overpriced. A full panini is $18-23 and comes only with a tiny sample sized cup of fruit. The drinks are $6. The panini also had minimal chicken and filling so most of my bites were of bread. For those prices, I would expect at least a decent side such as a salad or chips. Also the service is minimal where you order online, you bus your own plates, and when asked for water I get a tiny cup for dining in- so asking for tip on top of these prices (over $25 per person) is hard to justify especially in Escondido.

The location has a pretty extensive menu written in chalk on the walk, and it's easy to read. There are choices of sandwiches, salads and a lot of great food in-between. After taking a minute to decide we went with the Southwest Chicken Salad ($16.99) as well as the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) with a side of hushpuppies. The sauce on the salad was flavorful with just a bit of zest, and they gave us extra so that was really cool. It's a really comfy place to eat with a little bit of a Louisiana feel to it. For good food served by good people, this is the place!

Neither anything spectacular but also not bad. Just a tuna melt. But the service and atmosphere made up for it so I give the place four stars. I like the people that work there and they have art made by locals for sale on the wall. This place has been around for over ten years. Upper East is the new kid on the gentrified block, so expect to pay more for worse service even if the food is better quality. Pick your poison. If you just need a standard tuna melt and wanna save a few bucks, H Brothers. If you're balling in today's economy and got it like that, Upper East.
