We have roughly 20 outdoor wood trimmed doors/windows that were badly chipped/cracking from significant sun exposure. I was really worried about hiring the right company to bring them back to life because they are 30 years old and imported from Italy (aka irreplaceable). We were provided a reasonable quote and decided to move forward with Fresh Coat. Despite a few hiccups during the project, Kim/Mario and their team had our happiness top of mind and it was clear their priority was making sure the finished job would exceed expectations. I purchased my new home and was looking to renovate the whole place. I was looking for a top quality painting company, but the process was challenging as there were so many in the area. Fresh Coat team and Kim, the owner of the company came with a very high recommendation. Her communication and professionalism with correspondence was highly commendable. She's detail oriented and goes above and beyond with mastery and demonstrates strong ownership and leadership. From our 1st interaction with owner Kim, we were delighted by her professionalism and methods. We had a great meeting and were pleasantly surprised by her online quote system. The quote was overly detailed and suited us perfectly. After working our deal, we were almost immediately scheduled for the work to begin. Our 1st and overwhelming impression of her crew was of how cleanly they worked. They painted the bulk of the walls of our house, along with painting our ceiling and staining our beams.... all while I worked from the kitchen counter! This included sanding the ceiling, beams and trim! I was really amazed (and thankful) of this. Kim and crew were also very good at handling ad-hoc requests ("Hey, do you think you could also paint the fireplace, while you're at it???") We had a small complaint with a portion of the ceiling finish and that was handled perfectly and professionally. In my opinion, doing a great job is to be expected, but how conflict is handled really tells the story of a person and Kim (and crew) were exceptional at this. We hired Freshcoat Painters to "professionally" paint our brand new bathroom and a few other items around the house. Unfortunately, things did not turn out how we had hoped and our bathroom paint job turned out pretty badly. Additionally, when they moved the brand new vanity to paint behind it they, chipped the marble countertop on the doorknob of the bathroom door and tried to cover it up by gluing the chipped piece back on. When I discovered it a few days later, one touch to the "repair" made the piece fall right off. When we brought this up to Kim, she of course denied it was their fault and blamed another contractor that we had working on the shower in the same bathroom. After finding scratches and marble residue on the door knob, we were able to confirm it was in fact their fault. Please be careful with this company. They went on and on about how they would apply "two coats" when in fact the paint looks very thin. Baseboard lines are blurry and unprofessional as well. I mean, I could do a crappy paint job like this, but wanted something nicer which is why I hired "professional painters". I guess I learned my lesson the hard (and expensive) way...
