This summer, my neighbor had hired JBV Maintenance Solutions to clean their gutters. Then the rains came and one gutter was overflowing between zero lot line houses. I was the neighbor and worried about all the water pouring off the roof. A call was made to JBV, and they were out the next day. Took a look as to why the gutter was overflowing, and discovered a couple pieces of old roof tile had come lose and slid into the gutter drain. Hullisses and his team cleaned our gutters, added gutter guards, low-pressure washed our roof to remove moss, applied moss guard, repaired several gutter leaks (most of which we didn't know were there until he showed us), cleaned our solar panels, replaced some concrete tiles on our roof, and replaced some aging roof sealant at some connection points. And it was all done with a smile and at a very reasonable price (less than another quote we received just for gutter guards). The work has held up, even through the awful storms we just had. This company has 120 5-star reviews there and they live up to their reputation. Small businesses that are wonderful deserve our support.) We have an older townhome and our 2nd-story gutters were starting to sag at the corners. So when it rained heavily during fall/ winter 2022/ 2023 rain water was spilling out of the gutters at the corners. I had asked another company to take a look initially and they told me they couldn't repair it. Instead they suggested I replace the gutters instead. Since my issues were confined to one section, I decided to call JBV to give me a 2nd opinion. Hulisses came out and gave me an estimate. He told me he could repair it the same day but I scheduled it for later due to my schedule. I enjoyed working with him for the following reasons: - He was very responsive. Quick to answer phone calls, texts and send out information. When he knew he would be late for the estimate appt., he notified me ahead of time. - He was honest about the extent of work needed. I asked him for pics as I couldn't see the gutters/ roof and he sent me before/ after pics. I saved a few hundred bucks from not having to replace the gutters. - The price quoted was the price I paid. This isn't always true for vendors. Some overcharge a lot even as I allow for some variability, ask for the range of prices beforehand. Since I contracted with him to work on the gutters, he did not charge me a fee for coming out and giving an estimate. - I asked he wear booties and a mask since access to the gutters required being inside my home briefly and he was happy to do that. I supplied them and the 2nd appt, he brought his own mask. Since I work in healthcare and have elderly parents, decreasing exposure to COVID remains important to me. - He was polite and professional.
