My wife and I frequent this place. The staff is very friendly, and the food is delicious. Every time I go o get the pho, though I've also tried their Mongolian as well as chow mein and I have never been dissapointed. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the single waitress gets overwhelmed during rushes, so don't come in during lunch rush if you are on a tight time frame. read more

I've had much better Asian food out of a can. The teriyaki chicken didn't have any sauce on it or for it, and no flavor; the sesame chicken was bitter (but it was crunchy!); General Tao would not claim their version of his chicken; the potstickers were tasteless without a large dollop of hoisin. The only decent thing was crab puffs...but the sweet and sour sauce is too thin. To "top" it off, the only condiments available are soy sauce, chili oil, Sriracha, and hoisin. This place is amazing! Their pho and spicy noodle soup are to die for! Why not 5 stars then? Because the service is pretty slow. Probably won't make it back to work on a quick 30 minute lunch break but trust me, it's well worth the wait. They are a small family run business so trying to get in and out quickly is unlikely to happen. Very unique mix of Asian inspired dishes that will please everyone in your party. Delicious fresh and healthy food at very reasonable prices. Recommend the lettuce wraps which has enough for two people larger than most main courses. Lemongrass chicken is also a winner. Skip this one if you are driving through Salem and looking for a place to eat. The service was slow and indifferent and the food just wasn't very good at all. The menu appears to be a collection of "best of" dishes from different Asian cuisines. So there was sesame chicken alongside pho and teriyaki and Vietnamese noodle salads etc. The dishes we ordered were a step below mediocre. The sesame chicken was a pile of fried chicken nuggets with barely any sesame sauce. The noodle salad had a tiny amount of low-quality pork and in place of fresh herbs there was an abundance of iceberg lettuce. If you have an idea in your mind of what the dish usually tastes like when you order it from other places, you'll be pretty disappointed. If you factor in the time it took for this disappointment to be served, you'll be down right irritable. read more

Love this place! This hidden gem is amazing! The owner is very friendly and the food is delicious. I get the salad rolls, usually to go. But the couple of times I've dined in, have been just as delicious. Try any of the noodle dishes, or the fried fish cakes! So tasty, and the prices are amazing too! read more

Wow, such a wonderful surprise! This hidden jem hit the spot! We ordered lettuce wraps, general tao and dan-dan noodles! The general tao was light, not at all oily or greasy and it was smothered in a tangy but spicy sauce! We will definitely return, we can't wait to try the pho! We had a delicious dinner here last night. I had chicken with lemongrass and onions over noodles and lettuce, my husband had Pad Thai and shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. We were happy with everything, it was served hot and fresh. The owner is very friendly, the prices are low as well. I will try their vegetarian Pho next time. read more

We ordered through Ubereats, my Fiancé got the pad Thai and I got their 'dandan noodles' which were absolutely horrible, the dandan noodles were just a horrid glorified and disgusting soup with half cooked cold chicken, two things of broccoli and raw carrots...look don't advertise something as Dandan noodles if it's not Dandan noodles. Honestly this place is absolutely terrible their Pad Thai was bland, pale, and lacked everything that a traditional padthai would. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. Never eat at this place or order food from here it's absolutely horrible. read more

We ordered their food from Uber eats. This was the most repulsive and disgusting food we have had in a long time. Their seafood noodle soup came with imitation crab, some rice noodles, a few slices of carrots. That's it. Would have had a better meal from Panda Express. Everything we ordered looked and tasted like garbage. read more

The food here is phenomenal. We got sesame chicken, pad thai, pho, spicy noodle soup, and potstickers. There was not a bad bite in the bunch! It takes a little bit of time for the food to come to the table, so maybe not a place to go if you're in a rush, but it is definitely worth the wait! Would recommend to anyone! read more

This is my get to go place for Vietnamese food around Salem. The lettuce wraps with the crispy noodles and meat on the inside were uniquely delectable. The pho itself was pretty good too except for how it does seem a little watery. That part was somewhat on the downside, but super nice owners. read more

Everything was so bland. Didn't get Thai basil with my pho, and the peanut sauce tasted...interesting.

The server recommended Tom Yum (noodle soup). It was exceptional. The service was good and it was quiet on a Friday evening in early July.

Thanks to new owners and great asian fusion food!!! The shrimp chow fun and the singapore curry noodles is just like the way my mom makes it at home in S.F. Geez, I miss her cooking, but thank goodness you are here!!!! And the peanut sauce on the fresh wraps is excellent! I am disappointed in the bùn that I ordered for a couple of reasons. Here are the ingredients: lettuce, noodles, pork, egg roll, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts and fish sauce. Well, they left out the cucumber and bean sprouts. I ordered this for take out, so I didn't notice until I got home. Furthermore, the portion of chicken was very small, and the fish sauce lacked flavor. I have eaten Vietnamese dishes a lot of times and this is the worst one that I've had. I basically at a styrofoam container of ice burg lettuce. I definitely won't be back. I will stick to Portland Vietnamese. Also, the salad rolls lacked flavor as they don't include the normal carrots and basil while the peanut sauce is low in quality. I wondered about this place and wanted to give it a shot, and I feel bad now that I brought this home to the family. read more

This place is frigging nasty and the service is non existent. my girl and I came in after the dinner rush and waited in the front by the door for nearly 10 minutes before even being acknowledged.When the hostess/server finally said something to us I couldn't understand what she said because she kind of mumbled something and went back into the kitchen came out about 5 mins later and sat us at a dirty table and did not ask us what we would like for drinks needless to say my girlfriend had to flag her down for a bottle of water. They put there silverware in dirty jam and jelly holders like you see at Denny's at your table which have a a layer of filth and dust built up in the bottom so little kids can stick there nasty fingers in and touch the next person who dined at that tables eating utensils they leave cases of Spam out in the dining area for people to see that is no joke spam seriously. We finally got to order after being there for about 30 minutes but we ended up just walking out because this place is flat out nasty scummy dirty and the service is crap while we were there there was another customer who was very disgruntled with the service as well.also I want to ad that a guy who had ordered food for take out got there shortly after we arrived and still hadn't received his food before we left. Which should have been done when he got there and waiting for him or at least shortly after. This place is a joke and I bet I could walk in there on any given night and find a plethora of health code violations. We decided to just go to mcdonalds because we didn't want to get a case of the runs salmonella or catch a cold..seriously though stocking silverware into jam and jelly containers at the table that are dirty and anyone can touch and be contaminated is just gross read more

Good chefs infuse their food with love. This food tasted of deep and abiding love: one that knows of time and distance, and gets deeper and better with age. I have eaten at several highly regarded Vietnamese restaurants in the greater Portland, Oregon Metro area. Fresh Elements blew them out of the water. It was almost by accident I even learned of this diamond. I was in Salem a few weekends ago and had an urge for Vietnamese. My host and hostess brought me to Fresh Elements as that was the only Vietnamese restaurant in Salem they could recall. Delightfully petite interior, the restaurant's modesty belies the eating experience. It was piercingly clear that all food elements were freshly received and tenderly cared for in the preparation and cooking process. As I said, a deep love infused everything we consumed. I have read older posts expressing concern about the owners and cleanliness. I would like to provide an update. We learned the restaurant had, within the last year and a half, undergone new management. Every staff member we spoke with was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. In fact, we were able to learn that the Chicken Pho I ordered had a flavor profile of over 14 different spices and herbs, and it takes from 11 - 14 hours to make a pot. This information was provided because we were trying, unsuccessfully, to determine what the sweeter herb was that hit the palate towards the end of each bite. We were informed that due to the number of elements creating the flavor it would be difficult to say for certain which herbs and spices would have created that flavor. While a specific answer could not be provided, the answer given made me appreciate even more the care and time put into the food. We also learned the owner supplied various items to the local Trader Joe's Stores. I would have stayed and chatted longer, but we were scheduled for another activity with some time sensitivity so we had to depart. The one caution I would provide, and I view this as a positive: come with plenty of time to sit and eat. The food is well worth it. And come often. The food is so, very well worth it. read more

Best food and service. Went yesterday because our usual Chinese place was closed so we decided to try this place since its right around the corner and we DONT regret it!! Such amazing food. Their lettuce wraps and sesame chicken are to die for. And the service was wonderful! Very fair on price also...we will be back! read more
