The place itself is very clean precise and well kept. They have everything set where they need it for quick service. I am here today, again 6.18.26 and I just sat down to play on my phone after I ordered and they're already calling my name. I couldn't even finish this review in there in time. They're so quick. Today, I found myself really craving a fresh salad or bowl, so I turned to Yelp to see if there were any great options in Waterbury where I work. As usual, Yelp came through for me, and this spot was the second recommendation. Since I've been to the number one recommendation a number of times and wasn't in the mood for poke, I decided to give this one a go. I headed there for lunch with three of my coworkers. The place is pretty tiny and has only counter seating, but we decided to take our orders to go. The service was super friendly and quick, and it was definitely bustling during the lunch rush. I can totally see why it's so popular! I went for the burrito bowl and swapped out the rice and beans to make it a bit more low-carb friendly. I added steak for some protein and paired it with a Detox smoothie that had acai, berries, and almond milk. I did a Yelp search for the best salad near Waterbury Connecticut and read the reviews, with my staying at the Courtyard Marriott. I ordered the barbecued chicken salad which was to die for. I met the owner who said that this is their most popular salad. I had not eaten breakfast and was on work calls all morning with a need to do take out and come back for a 1pm call. I recently stopped in and tried the Mexican salad (Romaine, Onion, Corn, Tortilla Strips, Black Beans, Avocado, Aji Verde) and the Glow smoothie (Orange Juice, Carrots, Mango, Pineapple, Ginger.) I thought both were absolutely delicious. The dressing on the salad was refreshing and had a wang to it that I can't wait to try again (or try to replicate at home.) I did not add protein to the salad, but I'm sure that would have only enhanced the taste. I thought the price for the salad was very fair. I wish there was a bit more (of everything) in the container, but that's because I loved it. The smoothie was also a delight. The brightness of the citrus contrasts nicely with the peppery bite of the ginger. The mango and pineapple just brings you to the beach. Initially, I thought the price for the smoothie was a bit high until I recreated it at home. After spending the money on the ingredients and including the labor and service- the price is fair. I was very excited to try out an acai bowl there today! My kids rave about the food here. However, when I went in, I was not greeted by anyone. I had to say hello to the cashier , I asked for a traditional acai bowl without blueberries and was told they were premade. I said I was allergic and the guy behind the counter just stared at me. I felt so unseen. Nothing else was offered to me . I was not only hurt because I was craving it all day, but I felt insulted by the lack of custom service. I will never use this restaurant again. I placed an order via telephone, but I thought I had communicated clearly that it was for delivery. A day later and, after several attempts I spoke with the same manager, did I mention his name is Ken?, who I had given my order to, I explained what happened and that there was a miscommunication and would he please cancel the payment process of $30.04. He refused, stating "it was your error not mine and I don't owe you $30.04" I am disputing this with my bank; however, there is no guarantee I will get my monies back. Amazing post gym stop! I ordered the re-build post workout smoothie & the buddha bowl. Both were great, the flavors in the buddha bowl were so delish! Super fresh ingredients. I ordered online & saw a sign that they were closing at 5 when I walked to the door. I felt so bad because my order was ready at 5:03, the employee said they usually close at 6 as google said but had an issue and had to close early today. Only thing I would suggest is posting a message on the website if this was to happen again, as I've seen other reviews on here about closing early too. I work in Waterbury and I love that they are on Uber eats. I like to eat healthy so this place is perfect!! So far I have ordered here a few times. Although I have never been to the actual location i have seen only good reviews that it is clean and friendly. My favorite is the bbq chicken salad and I add avocado. I've only tried 3 shakes so far, and all of them were delicious. I want to try other things, but I love that salad so much I may just continue to order it every-time. I found this restaurant on yelp, and truthfully was not expecting much. My first experience with the restaurant was today, I ordered a salad. The salad from fresh greens and proteins was absolutely delicious. I have had my fair share of terrible salads, and was suspicious about the one I received today. However, it tasted great and the ingredients taste fresh. On top of my salad I got their chicken salad which has Craisins and walnuts absolutely delicious. Writing this review as I walk back to my car after what I perceived as piss poor customer service. Went into order a chicken BBQ Bowl but first stopped to check-in the kiosk. I was told by the owner "Don't do that, you check in after you pay." I said okay sorry, as I then saw multiple signs explaining the same thing. Shortly after Ken then states "Go down there if you would like to order" as he points to his right which is 3 steps to the left of me with no one else placing orders. The store maybe facing hard times financially which would explain the check ins post purchases. Either way, I feel that they can do better when communicating with customers. So after walking out and sitting in my car for 5 mins to rethink the situation. I then went back in and placed my order.
