I apologize as I've lived in town for two years. Tonight was my first experience. To be fair, I had a last minute (small/easy) catering need: 1/2 tray of penne vodka, 1/2 tray garden salad, and an impulse buy of a loaf of terrific bread at check out. I was embarrassed to call with 4hrs notice. They didn't flinch. Easy. Made me feel really good about my decision. The pasta was cooked perfectly and they did everything right. I'd give the vodka sauce 7/10 in the area. Salad was fresh. Terrific toppings (not just lettuce) and the dressings were good quality. My experience today makes me really look forward to my first dine-in experience. Really good people. Great service. I can see why folks love this place. I feel bad because it's not the server's fault. I know they also will pay to remove this review anyway so it's all good. There's no way all the reviews are 4 or 5 stars. The food here was genuinely so terrible that it ruined my day. Why is the chicken cacciatore in watery sauce with undercooked vegetables? My burger was terrible and over cooked and the fries reminded me of a college campus cafeteria. I could almost forgive it if it wasn't over $60 after tip for 2 things. Whatever man. We came here for a family dinner and were quickly seated upon arrival. We started off with a Cherry Cosmo AND a Spicy Pear margarita! (Cherry Vodka. Lime Juice. Orange liquor & Cran) (Casamigas Jalapeño Tequila, Pear, lime, agave nectar, bitters. Tajin rim) The warm fresh baked bread was very delicious and paired nice with a cup of chicken orzo soup on a cold day. Nonna Lucia's Restaurant in Watertown has a cozy, compact bar area with a more open dining room space and much natural light. My martini was mixed in a personal-sized shaker and poured on the table side. There was a generous pour, and I particularly appreciated that the bartender left the shaker with me so I could top off my martini and enjoy the remaining dirty rocks. The room-temperature glass was not chilled but beautifully etched with designs and had an ornate stem. The olives served with the drink were bruised and not good, but the skewer was perfectly sized, and I appreciated the decorative pearl. When thinking about the food, the calamari appetizer was satisfactory. Its breading didn't contain much flavor; it was also greasy and a bit soggy. They did have a delicious marinara sauce that was simple, light, and fresh. Their homemade pasta, on the other hand, was just all right because of its bland flavor and texture. Also, my bowl of pasta contained a ton of water, oil, and garlic, so much so that it felt like I was eating soup. The salad was absolutely delicious! I had the Cobb salad, good portion, awesome flavor, homemade blue cheese dressing. I also love their meatball and sausage! I believe the meatballs are veal beef and pork which I prefer, sausage is spicy, yum! I also enjoyed the fried mozzarella, I liked that it it was a thin layer of breadcrumbs. I used to eat there regularly when I lived in Watertown decades ago, food is as good as I remember. I forgot to order soup but I remember they used to make the best homemade chicken soup! Went out to dinner here on Friday night. The parking lot was packed. And I know why. This is an old style Italian restaurant. Not fancy but absolutely delicious. I had chicken cacciatore. This is a little Italian restaurant that's family owned and has a home like feel. It's a small restaurant so reservations are smart for sure! Everything here is basically homemade and that's the win for me! You can truly taste it in the dish. The dishes are on the bigger size and the cocktails are just strong enough! This place kind of flew under my fat mouth radar for a couple years after they re-modeled/updated it. I mean, there it was and I drove by it probably 20 times per week, but it just never...grabbed me? I think part of me was still thinking back to when it was just a breakfast and pizza place and nothing really too spectacular. Then one day my Dad who was visiting up from North Carolina says "Hey, let's try that place for dinner." Seeing as it was his dime, I'm like "SURE DAD!" Outside of deciding to have a 2nd kid, that was possibly the smartest call my Dad has ever made. We ate well that night, and were super comfortable and looked after by an amazing friendly staff. On the whole, given all the variables combined, it was possibly one of the best meals out I've ever had. Since that night, we've gone back regularly both with and without Dad and have been pretty much up and down the menu, amazing from top to bottom. And we've never had any issues with service, always on point. I've been there enough for them to understand when I ask for the "scenic" table, they know I mean the one near the window overlooking Marshall's. And besides the food, the drinks are always poured perfectly at a reasonable price. Hard to single out anything specific, but here are my standouts from each category. Very, very good!!! I order food from there a lot. The sandwiches, Pasta, ribs, pizza etc. We moved to Huntington Beach almost 8 years ago and have been customers regularly for the last 6-7 years. My husband and I recently celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and our kids ordered different things for our party as they had a surprise party for us. We live at the Water Front, Tasha the owner had the food delivered and didn't even charge our kids. I couldn't believe it when I picked up our food last night and she told me about it. I had no idea she was so kind and didn't charge our kids. It was lot of food that was ordered for our party. Not only is the food delicious she was very generous to my family and I. What I presume was one of the owners saw me eating lunch alone, and came over to make conversation. Really appreciated the friendly vibe, like I had been long time customer. This restaurant is nothing like the others. With great food, service and atmosphere, Nonna Lucia's is the perfect place to spend your evening. I've been coming here since I was nearly toddler and my experience has never seen a negative. With the large variety of food options, each time I come I always take my food palate to the next level. Each different pasta dish has always met my standards and really gave my tongue a ride of exotic flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant and is worth the visit. Interstate traffic was at a standstill at rush hour and backed up for miles due to an accident, so I went an alternative route and found this place on my way to Hartford. I had butternut squash ravioli and a fresh mozzarella and tomato salad. The food was very good and so was the service. Just left this place and I can you we absolutely will NEVER RETURN. I ordered a glass of Glenlevit on the rocks with my overpriced meal and was charged THE OUTRAGEOUS PRICE OF $14.00 and when I protested I got nowhere. Trust me this place is only a local restaurant, not 5 star quality by any means and has to need to charge me what they did. Total extortion and we did not leave a tip either. In the future I will patronize the Charcoal Chef n Woodbury where they pour the same size drink for 1/2 the price and the food is better. I thought about not posting , but I'm going to. We are new to the area and are trying different places to pick out the best of the best. And this was not one for us. We ordered a large bacon onion and broccoli white pizza , and a small cheese pizza , and asked for both to be well done, it was 36.50. We got the pizza home , the pizza was soggy and drenched in oil , also didnt put the brocolli on the pizza and charged me for it,4$ for broccoli, 4$ for bacon and 3 for onions .I called right away and spoke to a manager, she didnt know how to refund me and was rude both times I spoke to her.. In the mean time I looked at the online menu and noticed that reg toppings are 1.50 each and speciality are 2.50 each. the following day the manage called me back and said she refunded me the 4$ when I questioned the menu online she said the prices changed and it didnt reflect it online yet..that was not my problem. We were in the area and noticed that this restaurant was very busy and looked family friendly, so we decided to give it a chance. It's January and we were seated in the patio area which looks very nice (stone work and large windows) but it was unbearably cold! They need to re-think how to heat this space during the winter. An electric fireplace that's 6 feet off the ground does not cut it by any means. We actually had to keep our coats on for the entire meal. We sat shivering at our table for approximately 10 minutes before the waitress came to take our order (seemed like she had a lot of tables to take care of on her own). She was very friendly and sweet. My husband ordered Chicken Marsala over penne pasta which he said was very good, our son ordered penne in vodka sauce which was tasty too. I had the Chicken Francaise which was disappointing...very bland. This place seems popular, but we won't need to visit again. This Italian restaurant definitely makes me appreciate Testo's in Bridgeport even more. read more

My boyfriend and I come here for lunch almost weekly. Our favorite meal is the Greek Salad and Buffalo Chicken Pizza. I won't lie, we've probably had this lunch nearly a dozen times and I cannot think of once instance that it came out badly.
