My go to nail salon in cuse. I've been going here for over a year. They will always get you in and are very accommodating. All of the girls are so nice and they have an infinite amount of colors. Just go! You'll love.

After trying a few other nail salons in the area, I am wondering why I would ever think leaving cosmopolitan salon and spa was a good idea. Long lasting and high quality dip manicures every time with multiple different technicians.

This is a salon you're going to want to check out. I wouldn't come in without an appointment though so make sure you call ahead to book or you book online! I scheduled a spa gel pedicure and dip nails with anyone that would be available on a Friday at 9am. I accidentally sliced a finger and had a laceration healing on my finger. They were very accommodating and were willing to work around my injury. Ultimately I decided to just go with the pedicure to avoid any infection. This salon is huge. There are tow floors and when you come in you're supposed to walk to the second floor in order to check in. The woman and the man at check-in were extremely friendly and made me feel welcome. There is plenty of parking outside of the salon on the side of the building. When I walked in around 8:45 for my 9am appointment there were already 4 people sitting at chairs getting their hands done and 3-4 people getting pedicures. Apparently this is the place to me. My gel spa pedicure was relaxing and took a little over an hour. I definitely recommend the suggestion of getting there 15 min before your appointment to give you time to check in and pick out your color. The color selection is huge! Heads up: they don't accept AMEX and if you pay card there is a $2 convenience fee to pay with card. I'll definitely be back!

I had a classic pedicure, a manicure with dip powder and tips, and eyebrow threading. Fatima did a great job on my eyebrows and Wei Wei absolutely slammed it out of the park with my nails. Cosmo is upfront about prices too. Worth the price.

Love my nails! The whole process was quick and painless, and the end product is fantastic! Em Em did exactly what I wanted (reference photo for comparison) Prices are very transparent also, which was nice. This was $50 because I came in with hard gel to remove ($10), and I added a design ($5) Bring cash for a discount!

I wasn't going to leave a review until today when I realized a whole nail worth of polish popped off. I went a few months ago and wasn't super impressed, but decided to give them a second chance. I went earlier this week and got a dip manicure and a gel pedicure (which was fine). But my manicure is a mess. I got a dip manicure & honestly they look amess. The manicurist ripped my cuticles up so bad one of my fingers was bleeding. My nails are all completely different shapes and not even a week after my appointment a whole nail popped off! I don't do anything strenuous with my hands so it's not like this should happen, I even wear gloves when doing any dishes to not mess up my nails. But honestly, for the price it's just not worth it.

This is my go-to spot for my gel pedicures and ANC nail dip. But recently, it has also been my hub for beautification all around. With a wedding coming up, I wanted to make sure I looked my best. I came to Kieu, at Cosmo, for 3D microblading tattoos and eyelash extensions. The prices were very reasonable. If you shop around for the same service elsewhere in Syracuse, and any other city, you'll find that it's a very competitive price here with Kieu. The microblading was a two session deal. The first session was like an outline almost and the second session was when the brows took full shape and texture. The second session allowed for my brows to have the really natural, fluffy hair look that I like. I naturally have really light eyebrows and was getting tired of having to draw them on daily. Three years prior, I got microblading done in California but it only lasted three months. This one with Kieu has already outlasted the other. It hasn't faded. I love waking up and being able to leave the house without doing anything to my brows. You get lidocaine on the brows prior to the microblading. The session was more painful than my session in California but with the longer lasting result, I don't mind. I've never gotten a tattoo so I don't know if it compares. As for lashes, this was my first time ever getting extensions. I'm in love! They look so natural and dreamy. I like the different lengths that add dimension to it. The session took an hour and a half and was pretty relaxing. The lashes feel like I have nothing on at all. It feels completely like I'm not wearing anything and it is light weight and pretty! I can see why folks get hooked to lash extensions now. The staff here are always very welcoming and nice. They have tons of colors and services to choose from and are well staffed for large group bookings. I always book my services online and appreciate the text alerts I get to remind me.

Not great. Cashmere was so nice but she tore my hands to shreds. I was going to do a gel mani because that's what I'm most comfortable with but Cashmere talked me into dip because "they would stay on till I took them off." Sounded good to me but she did not do a good job at all. Aside from cutting my fingers in at least six places, she applied the dip on my cuticles? Or very close to them, I guess. That's the best I can describe it... it's starting to grow out a little and my hair is getting stuck underneath the edge and it's driving me crazy. I don't want to take them off or pay for another manicure yet. I thought this would last longer than my gel mani which is why I got it. This location is everyone's favorite so I'm just shocked at how bad these are.

I've been here a couple times wanting to give it a fair chance. But every-time I walk away dissatisfied. I got tips plus dip a few weeks ago and when it was finally time to get them off the nail extension had been on my nail so tightly that I now have DENT with a bruise in my nail. I went this past Saturday for a regular gel mani and two of my nails are chipping already.

I actually got riped off but they were so nice about it I can't even be upset. First off, this was my first time here so I parked on the left side of the building off Erie, wrong. Apparently, they have a "out back" where the employees and all other patrons park. I walked through the front, which is a hair salon. But it was fine they knew I was lost and directed me to the back. I did not have an appointment but luckily I was able to snag a spot. This was a friday afternoon and WOW, this place was the place to BE lol. There were so many workers, this is like the apple store of nail salons. I just wanted a quick polish change for my hands and feet. Which is advertise at $10 and $12. Total would be 22 right? In the middle of polishing my hands, the tech told me it'll be 27. Hmm I wonder what the extra 5 was for. So i asked and she said they charge $2.00 more if you use a card. It just doesnt add up to what a price list says. After i let her reach into my wallet and take my card, she comes back and lets me sign the receipt. I gave her a 3 dollar tip,( but in reality I gave her $10.) After i go back to the front to leave, the guy at reception tells me to bring cash and it'll be $2.00 off the price listed. So clearly, she just over charged me for herself. -shrug- she was very nice though. so, I will be back! I'm not use to seeing non-vietnamese nail techs so it was different not understanding what they're all saying to eachother..

Would rate them more stars than 5 if possible! Been coming here for my manicures and pedicures for almost a year now. All staff are friendly and professional. They follow COVID guidelines. I've never had a bad experience there. Prices are well within reason.

Ask the Community - Cosmopolitan Salon & Spa

Do you do uv gel sets and how much would be a fill-in?

Sorry we don’t do any uv gel or acrylic or any fill in. We only do dip powder and pedicures and gel polish manicure

Does anyone know how much it is for a fill. i have a dip mani with extension and i want to know how much a fill is?

With dip powder or dip powder with tip extensions you can not get fill. Dip powder is the minimal base powder. You need to soak off every 3-4 weeks and dip with new colors.

How much is a full set of acrylics?

Sorry we don’t do acrylic full set however we do dip powder or dip powder with tip extensions if needed ( similar product but healthier)

Who is the best to go to for dip powder nails?

Chin , Jing , Mawi, par, Tha , and Thangi ( most seniors). All girls are good since they do lots of dip powder every day.

What's the difference between a regular pedi and a spa pedi here?

Classic pedicure is in the relaxing massaging chairs and includes cut, file scrub, polish, light massage, and hot towel.…

What are the prices like for gel manicures?

The ANC powder dip manicure is $25...best price around and they do an amazing job....lasts 3 weeks...includes touch up after a week....I like it better than gel. Gel is $40 maybe. I'm not sure. Actually the website says Shellac is $20. ?

Sorry Yelp engineering team-- I think that 5 stars might not be enough for Hairanoia…read more I was lucky enough to be able to schedule an appointment last minute, presumably due to a cancellation. Note that many of the stylists, especially the owner Michael, tend to book out for months. The online booking system was super simple to navigate, and gave me text updates. My appointment was in the evening, which in itself is a major plus. About an hour before my scheduled time, Michael called me and told me he could accommodate me 45 minutes earlier, which was a major plus. The shop was popping when I arrived-- phones ringing, customers popping in, even though it was the evening. The decor is really charming. Lots of interesting artwork and knick-knacks to catch the eye. When Michael asked, "what are we doing today?" I told him the color I wanted and he took the reins from there, which I appreciated, because I'm not the kind of person who goes to salons very often. Later in the appointment, he also asked if he could do a certain cut he thought would look good, and I said "go for it." I'm not the kind of client that has a specific vision in mind so I'm grateful when stylists use their expertise (but ask you.) Also, Michael explained that the dye he chose was less damaging and would be better suited for my hair, and he also recommended a few other products I should use. Some salons color your hair before they cut it, but I had a lot coming off, so Michael did a quick trim first. He cut it so quickly, I didn't even notice that my hair was suddenly 3-4 inches shorter until I glanced behind me and saw the floor littered with my split ends. Seriously, think this man might be some kind of ninja. When it came time to process the color, Michael asked me if I wanted to sit outside. This was the most unexpected delight of the evening. It turns out, they set up a little outdoor area with gravel, chairs, shade umbrellas, and even a fountain to work with COVID restrictions last year, and decided to bring it back this year. This was such a lovely surprise, and made for an unparalleled hair appointment experience. I don't get outside as much as I'd like to, so I appreciated getting a minute to sit in the sun. Granted, the neighbors were playing loud music so it was not perhaps quite as serene as expected, but I didn't mind so much. Throughout the visit Michael was very nice, as was the rest of the staff. My hair came out nice and the price was very reasonable. In fact, it was like reverse sticker shock-- I was actually surprised at how inexpensive it was. As someone with long hair, I tend to get charged more for these services-- I think because most stylists tend to do color first. Both the inside and outside areas of the salon were beautiful. Definitely recommend this one-- especially in the warm months when you can catch a little sunshine while your hair sets!

I really was neutral and said so. So....I left wondering if he was too tilted to do his finest work (at best) or deliberately did a botched job (at worst). Needless to say, never ever ever never again. P.S. I used to go there and had a great stylist who left. When asked why, Michael said their political views were very different. Sheesh.... P.S.S. This salon clearly does not care about that. First off, no one ever answers the phone. There is no way to get a hold of the owner, and communication is non-existent. My stylist, Lucky, already canceled on me in December for a funeral, which I understood. But then in January, I rescheduled for a Wednesday, and a day later, I saw my appointment was changed in the system without anyone even telling me. When I finally got a hold of her, she said she was "on a movie set." I had specifically picked "Any Staff" when I booked so that I wouldn't have to deal with one person's schedule, so why was I being told I couldn't be seen? If you're busy on a movie set, you shouldn't be taking bookings from the public. When she finally "fitted me in" at 7 PM, the whole thing was half-assed and rushed. I didn't even get to pick my own glaze color; she just did whatever. I told her I was happy to finally get my split ends under control, and she just dismissed me and said, "everyone has split ends." I go to a salon for the experience and to feel seen, but I felt like I was just a nuisance she was trying to hurry up and finish. To make it even worse, my partner's appointment was also canceled last minute because the other stylist didn't have a babysitter. It's just constant excuses here. Then, when it was finally time to go, Lucky didn't even seem to know how to collect the payment. It was so disorganized and awkward. I still gave a 15% tip because I'm a responsible person and I value labor, but honestly, I feel like I was bamboozled. I could have stayed home and done the glaze and the cut myself for way less money and zero headache. I'm done with professional salons if this is how they treat people. I won't be back.

Many salons wouldn't offer that, so I really appreciated the customer service. The decor inside is immaculate. As you'll see in the photos others have posted, it has an earthy yet luxurious feel to it. Down to earth but classy. Very bright and airy. A nice place to be. My stylist Kaitlyn (again, can't thank her enough for coming in early just for me) was very good about walking me through the steps of the process because I was doing a big change (cut off 12"+ and balayage; I've never even colored my hair before), making sure I was comfortable along the way. It definitely made me feel more at ease and trust in her abilities. She was very knowledgeable about the whole process of coloring from a chemical perspective. Which, as a chemistry major, I found pretty neat. Maybe others wouldn't care in the way I do about the chemistry, but it is relieving to know that your stylist really understands what she's doing to your hair. The products they use are very hair healthy and eco-friendly, which I find important. Louis offered me tea, too, which I've personally never experienced in a salon. Those little things help to make you more comfortable and at home, so I appreciated it greatly. As for how my hair turned out... I loved it! It couldn't have come out any better. It was exactly how I was hoping it would turn out. Masterful. It's been about 6 months since I got the cut and it's grown out nicely, which is exactly what I was hoping for! Before my hair was down to my hips with a lot of broken strands. I'm glad I got it chopped off because now it's healthy and turns out to be simple enough to style. Because now that I look back, I had so much hair that it just kinda sat there. I'm glad I got over the fear of cutting it, and that Kaitlyn was the one to do it! Just be aware that a process like mine cost about $200. Definitely not cheap, but these services also require a great deal of skill. Don't expect to be getting results this good for $20. I don't do a lot with my hair (I rarely ever use heat on it) so my hair is healthy enough to where I don't need cuts that often. But I think the next cut I need, I will come back.

The wash and blow at the end was really nice too! The place itself was really cozy and well decorated. It looks like high-end salon as soon as I walk in. In addition to Women's and Men's Hairstyling specialties, Shuping Murphy's Asian Beauty Salon offers, such as Facials and Manicuring. Her staff is well trained and takes pride in making you look your best. Her New Salon is beautiful with massage recliners. You will get a massage while washing your hair.
